Grrr saw another example today of "coding by google" where someone modified the first thing they found on stackoverflow and made a solution far more complex than it needed to be ... Knowledge and Expertise still wins for producing simple solutions

"my country" (UK) is now a place where it seems people give you abuse for a decision to continue to try to protect yourself. That's not going to adversely affect others, so why do this???? More 😠😠😠

Queues at petrol stations for a lot of the last month, other supply-chain issues, the government trying to renegotiate the Northern Ireland treaty that was a critical part of While we had a good initial roll out with the vaccines, look at our current cases 😳😡

It's really quite sad to see the responses to this. Many from people looking at the UK from the outside, and unfortunately even from the inside I agree with many of them ...

Great to see on this list. I grew up there and visited the Castle and Stirling Bridge again (which I used to cross each day on my way to school) during a Scotland trip last month. My favourite castle to visit in the UK!

Anyone experienced Martian Packet errors from a router? it seems to be sending stuff out with a source IP of 255.255.255.255 and devices are. it getting their DHCP addresses properly. No new devices on the network.recently. Static IPs (at least on Ethernet) work ok

has anyone experience "martian source" packets from a fibre router? Seem to be appearing with a source address of 255.255.255.0 and router isn't successfully giving IPv4 addresses out to machines on WiFi. No changes to the connected devices that I know of recently.

Hell yeah! 😎 (There are already a couple of ports kicking around that I've built and use but this is great to see the first steps towards getting it in the main code streams)

It does seem that a lot of the internet is broken due to a LetsEncrypt certificate expiry *sigh* Would potentially explain an issue I hit (but didn't delve into) earlier today.

Sysadmin 101 - it's always worth checking DNS as a primary suspect if it's a random networking/connectivity issue🙄🙄 This is why people having slack problems are still able to connect via mobile - it's down to the TTL of your DNS and so potentially your ISP.

I get that people are trying to blame the media for panic buying fuel, but when forecourts of one supplier were running low, they'd put out a statement () would we really expect it not to be reported? If it hadn't it would have spread on social media anyway

Ned to make more effort to daignose why my C360 (Windows/arm) doesn't always suspend on closing the lid. Means I often come back to a dead battery if I haven't noticed the light isn't pulsing when closing it. Wasn't obvious why when I tried to reproduce before
