1. Definition and Usage

The <em>, <strong>, <dfn>, <code>, <samp>, <kbd>, <var>, and <cite> tags are all phrase tags. They are not deprecated, but it is possible to achieve them with CSS.

3. Standard Attributes

DTD indicates in which HTML 4.01/XHTML 1.0 DTD the attribute is allowed. S=Strict, T=Transitional, and F=Frameset.

The <em>, <strong>, <dfn>, <code>, <samp>, <kbd>, <var>, and <cite> tags support the following standard attributes:

ltr		 Specifies the text direction for the content in an element STF
id id Specifies a unique id for an element STF
lang language_code Specifies a language code for the content in an element STF
style style_definition Specifies an inline style for an element STF

xml:lang language_code Specifies a language code for the content in an element, in XHTML documents STF

4. Event Attributes

The <em>, <strong>, <dfn>, <code>, <samp>, <kbd>, <var>, and <cite> tags support the following event attributes:

Fluid layouts for your website

Maybe you have noticed that sometimes it is pretty difficult to adjust website content width in order to fit all the various devices (from small resolution mobile platforms to high resolution personal computers). I think that you have faced with this problem before. But it does not matter – fluid (or liquid) layout will come to the rescue. I prepared several fluid layouts for you which you can choose. All these layouts have several columns with some content inside. And, as little bonus – you can switch between layouts on-fly (without reloading of page) with using CSS3.
