The Challenge
Ambient Coffee Roasters struggled with an outdated brand image that no longer resonated with younger customers or reflected their artisanal quality.
Their packaging designs lacked distinctiveness, blending into crowded retail shelves, and failed to incorporate sustainable practices.
Additionally, their branding elements—from logos to in-store materials—were inconsistent, diluting their identity.
The core challenge was to honor their rich legacy while injecting freshness and functionality into their brand.
The Solution
Wangyel Studio reimagined Ambient Coffee Roasters’ identity by merging tradition with modernity. The rebrand centered on a redesigned logo featuring subtle Bhutanese motifs and clean typography, symbolizing their roots and contemporary vision.
For packaging, we introduced bold, eco-friendly designs using recycled materials, adorned with vibrant illustrations of Thimphu’s iconic landscapes to capture attention and storytelling.
A cohesive branding system was implemented across menus, signage, and digital platforms, ensuring consistency and recognition.
The result was a timeless, unified identity that bridges generations, strengthens customer loyalty, and solidifies their status as a Bhutanese coffee icon.
