A space for pause, connection, and playful self-reflection.
“Reflection Point” is a large-scale outdoor installation at Rockefeller Center in New York City, created in collaboration with Google Labs. The piece invites public interaction through layered spaces, kinetic elements, and mirrored surfaces that shift with movement and light.
As a metaphorical “save point,” Reflection Point marks a moment of pause and reflection — on our process, evolution, and connection to New York. The work forms an immersive environment of nested spaces and intersecting pathways punctuated with moveable primary shapes suspended within each wall frame. As elements rotate, new routes are revealed while others become obscured. Vibrant color guides the viewer’s path, while mirrored surfaces invite constant reevaluation of space, perception, and experience.
Developed over the course of a year, the installation integrated the use of Whisk, an experimental AI image-generation tool from Google Labs. Instead of traditional visual references, we used text prompts to shape early concepts, allowing for a more fluid and exploratory design process.
“Reflection Point” continues our mission to create public art that is not only seen, but experienced — transforming familiar environments into spaces of discovery, contemplation, and play.
