Also attending are Rich, Matt, Rob, Ruth, Rachel, Julian Richings (his 1st Hub con!! - can't wait to meet him) Jason Manns & The Hillywood Girls.

For a whole weekend, I'll be surrounded by the wonderful SPNFamily, including lots of my close friends who are also making trek from Perth. At the con I'll be sitting with 2 amazing ladies, Larisa and Marie, who love the show and boys just as much as I do.

My Saturday ticket, the Winchester, gets me into all the general panels including J2's and also includes photos with Jared and Jensen. I can use them individually or for the infamous J2 Sandwich, so will need to decide which to do. I also get the chance to buy J2 autos and photos and autos with all the other guests.

My Sunday ticket is just a cheapie day ticket that gets me into all the general panels including J2 and chances to buy photos and autos with all the other guests except J2. Their photo and auto tokens are strictly limited to 1 per person with all the other more expensive ticket levels so more fans have access to them. J2's last con here in 2017 was a fiasco with way too many ops and autos sold, leaving the boys (who were already jet-lagged) absolutely exhausted by the end of the weekend. Too many fans were somehow able to buy lots of J2 tokens, sometimes more that 10, whilst a lot of others missed out. Hopefully this year's con will be a lot more relaxed, esp for the boys.

I'm hoping to upgrade to a Winchester tix for Sunday, so I get the extra J2 photos and autos. Just have to hope they don't sell out before I can afford the extra money.

I'm also going to the Saturday Night Concert with Rob & Louden Swain. Rich, Matt and Ruth will probably also perform. I'm really hoping Jensen does a song or 2 as well like he did back in 2017. And I'm silently praying that even Jared might come on stage for a bit with his guitar and give us an encore to that magical moments of J2 doing Free Falling at the last con.

Have already begun to think about what I want to get J2 to sign. As I've already got their signatures on a few of my photos with them, I want to do something different this time. I've got an idea that I think will get a good reaction out of the boys. Just have to design it and get it printed well in advance so I'm not rushing in the lead-up to the con. I also have plans for a 3rd celebrity to sign the same item at a local con I'm going to in June.

I have finally found place I can call home.....

and it's the Internet. I feel like it was designed just for us introverts. I can be at home by myself in my comfy recliner with my favourite snacks (Coles Original Crinkle Cut Chips) and drinks (Coke Zero over ice), still in my pj's at 4.45pm on a Saturday and still be in touch with so many friends. Just today, I've been having multiple & simultaneous FB chats with the most amazing people, two local, one who lives on the other side of the country in a different timezone and one on the other side of the planet!!! The freakin' planet, people!! That's just insane and not anything I could have possibly imagined growing up a world where the WWW just didn't exist. I just love that there is no pressure to reply straight away, no awkward silences. We can carry on our RL and adulting duties and just respond when we get a spare minute or two, picking up where we may have left off hours or even days ago. We don't have to announce meal breaks or going to bed or being busy at work.

Tracey, a wonderful lady and very dear friend about the fundraiser/finale watch party she's organising and I'm hosting in 2 weeks. She's so over the moon and excited about this event, has gone to so much trouble getting items to be auctioned off or giving away as prizes. Fan art by some really awesome and successful artists and
con photographers who are only too happy to donate and have the proceeds going to a couple of charities, Random Acts and Beyond Blue (a Mental Health and Depression support group). Hope we get a good turnout and it's a really fun-filled day ending with what is sure to be a heartbreaking, cliffhanger of a season finale.

Melissa, another local friend who I've only met once in RL even though we live in the same city. We met at a local con early last year, waiting in line for the doors to open and she commented on my AKF shirt I was wearing. Yes, she's an SPN fan too. It was an instant connection. We chat and squee about the latest episode every week (always checking first to see if we have both seen it as neither of us wants to spoil the other). We also follow the same AFL footy team and will chat while watching the game on tv (which we are doing while I type this!! Yay!! We won!!) Am hoping we can both get a free day one weekend and catch up, even if it's just for coffee. She can't make it to the fundraiser due to work but I'm hoping she'll come to my 50th in December.

Kimberley, my absolute BFF who I love as much as I love Jared and Sam and that's a lot. We met back in 2010 at a Stargate Con in Sydney and hit it off straight away with so many things in common, (SPN, Farscape, really gorgeous guys. She's a Jensen/Dean girl but I still luvs her despite that flaw. LOL She did fall in love with Jared last year at the con, so it does show she has good taste after all :-) She lives in northern New South Wales and I'm in south western Western Australia, so pretty much as far apart as you can get and still be in the same country. We've been to a few cons together, AHBL6 in '15 and last year's AHBL8. She was my rock when depression hit me when Jared cancelled, her support and love and understanding getting me through that terrible week when I seriously considered not going but went anyways just to see her again-- it had been 5 years between RL meet-ups -- and ended up having the best time.
Am devastated that I've had to cancel my con trip next month as I was really, really looking forward to staying with her and her family for a few days and hanging out and her showing me her neck of the woods. But when chatting today, it turns out that she might be able to fly over for my birthday which I didn't think she would be able to manage, given she's got 4 kids and a busy work-life. It would be the best present ever to celebrate this big milestone with her so I'm really hoping she can make it.

And valerie_inlove. She's in Canada, so the extreme timezone difference usually means it's the middle of the night for her and daytime/work time for me, so we don't tend to chat for too long. We both are madly in love with Jared and Sam so there's always something to chat about or a new pic to drool over or episode to discuss.

My reaction was and is and will forever be pretty much:
OMG WTF Holy Shit!!!

Oh, that freaking cliffhanger!!! The next 7 days is going to be pure torture.

Loved Sam's expression at seeing Gabe & Rowena post sex!!! The absolute horror!!! Some things cannot be unseen. :-)

Loved all the ApocWorld scenes. That trip through the tunnel was terrifying. Haven't been so scared in years!!!

And Sammy being attacked!! Being killed!!! His body dragged off into the dark tunnel!! Was just screaming NO NO NO over and over and sobbing. I knew he couldn't stay dead but had no idea how he would be brought back. Thought maybe Jack would revive him. Never in a million years did I think it would be Lucifer and the price he would demand of Sam. I have never hated Lucifer more.

Sam being in debt to his torturer is just wrong on so many levels. I really really need to watch Sam kill him nice and slow and very very painfully and permanently.

And once again, Jared just broke my heart with his performance. He was quite simply brilliant in every single scene, every single shot. Joy, happiness, ruthlessness, fear, terror, pain, devastation, determination, leadership, assertiveness. Sheer perfection! ♥♥♥

In a word: EPIC!!!

Jared wandering around the Vancouver studio lot at 3am having just wrapped filming for season 13!!!!! Giving lots of shout-outs and hugs and kisses to crew members and the poor boy DOES look tired but oh so beautiful as well and I've missed him doing FB live vids and this is just about the best thing that has happened in a long time, well since he wore the head-towel during the Gold panel at NashCon last Sunday cos that was pretty damn awesome as well!!

Wasn't intentionally looking for spoilers as I try to avoid them but kinda don't mind knowing that I have something really really awesome to look forward to in addition to a brand new episode. It's the same reaction of "Gimme, gimme right now damn it!!!" as when I saw the Soulless Sam shirtless workout scene pics way, way back in season 6.

And yet, as I still want to stay as spoiler-free as possible, I don't have any urge to watch the full promo. Just knowing those few awesome looking seconds are in it makes me as happy as happy can be.

PS: Please, please don't spoil me for anything else that's in the promo or even if there is more of that scene shown apart from the gif footage. I REALLY REALLY don't wanna know.

Watching Designated Survivor (starring Kiefer Sutherland as the President) and there is a dirty bomb hidden somewhere in DC and all I could think was that Jack Bauer would be the best man to find it!!!

A DS/24 crossover with twice the Kiefer gorgeousness would be awesome!!! ♥♥ Perhaps twins separated at birth. :-)

Thank Chuck, Asmodeus is dead and please, please please let him stay dead for ever and ever and ever!!!!! I have never hated a character more, not even Metatron and I hated him with a passion!! Maybe any King of Hell replacement so soon after losing Crowley (and Mark Sheppard) would have sucked ass but in every single scene Asmodeus was in he was completely OTT and almost unwatchable.

Was pretty crammed with lots of characters and different storylines but all of them were enjoyable to watch, the hell scenes even more so because Asmodeus is dead. Thank you, Gabriel!!!!

Ketch is continuing to grow on me, largely in part thanks to David. I like you, dude.

Love that Sam was eventually able to get through to Gabe. What an inspirational and amazing speech!! As usual, all the kudos to Jared for another awesome performance!!!

I know Dean is mightily pissed off right now but had Sam and Cas not used Gabriel's grace to heal him, then they would be dead.
Jensen knocked that end scene outta the park!! His barely held-in anger was simply frightening. Reminded me a lot of Dean towards the end of S10 when the Mark of Cain had taken hold and he found out Sam had lied about destroying the Book of the Damned. No wonder Sam and Cas were keeping their distance and silence. They both know Dean tends to resort to physical violence when he's angry.

I think (and hope) that Gabe will have a change of heart and decide to help the boys. He certainly has a soft spot for them despite his denial.

Totally unspoiled about AU!Charlie, so was nice surprise to see Felicia again. So much more exciting when returning past characters are kept secret.

Holy Hell!!!!!! That was friggin' EPIC!!! 13 seasons in and this show can still scare the absolute shit out of me!!! The monster was the scariest MOTW they've had in years!!!

Loved it so much, esp all the Sam & Dean stuff, and how they can still mix the humour (the post-it notes and comments about Sam's kale salad) with the gutwrenching angst of the brothers when one is in danger but that ending blew me away. WTF????? Did not see them opening the rift with still 6 eps to go.
Poor Sam looked so devastated and hurt. Just wanted to hug him! Hope Dean's decision to go without Sam doesn't backfire on them. We all know bad things, really bad things happen when the boys are separated.

As much as I dislike Dean for making Sam stay behind, I do understand his reasoning. But...... they do know someone else who has been to the AU. Why didn't they call Cas to watch Gabriel and be back-up. Problem solved. :-)

Awesome to see more of Gabriel. Was heartbreaking to see him so afraid and broken. Just hope Ketch is being honest with the boys and doesn't end up betraying them.

Have finally found a character I despise more than Metatron and that's Asmodeus. He makes my skin crawl. I still think he's too much of a caricature and way over the top villain. Will be so glad when he dies!!! This is the one spoiler I would like to know!!! Makes me miss Crowley even more.

Thanks to it being Good Friday, I have the day off work. Normally I'd have watched SPN before the West Coast airing instead of having to wait til after work BUT I'm hosting a 13x16 watch party with a few local SPNFamily members tomorrow so I can't watch the ep today. :-(

I know it'll be awesome to watch it for the first time with others who love SPN as much as I do but, dude, avoiding all the spoilery stuff on Twitter and Facebook and here on LJ is just soooooooooooooo damn hard. I wanna join in with the excitement and squee and love (Yep, I've been sneaking a few little peeks here and there :-p ) but I also want to watch it as spoiler-free as possible. Am kinda glad that neither of J2 live-tweeted (thought I was also hoping they would-- it's been sooooooooooo long--) as I can NEVER resist reading their tweets and reactions and comments. ETA: Oh darn, J2 are tweeting a little bit, just 1 RT from Jared so far and 1 from Jensen and YEP, I couldn't resist looking at them. Stop tempting and torturing me, guys!!! ♥♥ My willpower/self control is nonexsistant today!! :-/

So I'm hoping the next 24 hours goes by supernaturally fast. In the meantime I have a shitload of house-work to do and a spnspringfling fic to write. Plus getting started on the first few Sam Reports. Plus other shows I CAN watch today like Big Bang Theory, Arrow and Chicago Fire. Oh and there is also Aussie Rules footy on TV this afternoon. So plenty to keep me occupied, right???

Took me a while to decide which prompt to write but am glad I've finally chosen and can get started. Have until 6pm Mon my time to get it sent to the mods and lots of free time this weekend.

Have written the opening line and have a rough idea of what's going to happen (I think!!) and perhaps even the ending. It's going to be dark and kinky and sad, all the stuff I love to read and write.

Would anyone be interested in doing beta for me when I'm done. Obviously would prefer someone who isn't doing spnspringfling but can discuss details of prompts in PM's.

You know when inspiration strikes and you think of an idea that seems pretty simple and straightforward, something that should only take no more than an hour a day and so you think you can handle daily postings, 7 days a week and then it's only when you actually start working on it and it becomes way more detailed than you first envisioned and you start wondering "What the Hell was I thinking???" and yet you get even more excited about it and how awesome it can be if you take the time and effort to do it properly??

Well that was me on Monday night as I was putting the first Sam Report post together. I'd been at it for about 4 hours, it was getting super late, I was super tired and was trying to get my thoughts about the pilot ep into some sort of coherent order (and failing badly) so just saved the post privately, determined to finish and post it after work on Tues. Well that was the plan anyways. Should have known it would go off course but couldn't have guessed the wonderful direction it would take.

It was on my mind the whole time I was at work on Tuesday, new ideas and titles for categories popping into my head frequently, so I started making notes on my phone between pick-ups and deliveries and even while stuck at traffic lights... naughty me but my memory is crap and I didn't want to risk forgetting something awesome.

My first draft of the Sam Report had the following categories:

Pleasure & Pain
The SamHair
My Thoughts

22 different categories!!!! TWENTY-TWO!!!!!!! Add in the original 6 and it's up to TWENTY-EIGHT!!!! And I'm sure there are some I haven't thought of yet. OMG, one just popped into my head right now!!! Sam Squared -- when just 1 Sam isn't enough!! :-)

Not all categories will appear in every Report as examples of them won't feature in every episode but HOLY MOLY!!!! There are just so many aspects of Sam and who he is and what happens to him and how he interacts with the world around him and other characters that I want to at least comment on if not explore a bit more deeply.

Some of the titles will probably change too as I'd like to have humourous or quirky ones for all of them. (Family Relationships and Faith come to mind. Any suggestions gratefully accepted with full credit and my undying love ♥ I'd offer my first born if I had one of 'em!! :-) ) And working out which characters and situations fit which categories is still a Work In Progress but I think (and hope) I've got the makings of a pretty interesting and fun Sam-focussed series.

Also decided that I probably won't be doing daily postings. Seeing as it's going to be such a long series (279 episodes as of 13x15) I want to make sure each one is as good as I can make it and not put myself under pressure to post something I'm not completely happy with just to keep up with a daily schedule. I'm going to try to pre-do a few posts on the weekends (when I have the most spare time) and so hope to be posting at least 4 or 5 times a week. Will just see how things go.

With Jared coming back to Australia next year, I want to do another sort of daily post series like I did with the Padahug countdown prior to AHBL8 last year. My plan is to, starting with the pilot ep, do a daily Sam-focussed post. There would be a favourite pic of Sam from the episode, fav quote/s, a few thoughts about the ep with regards to what Sam does and what happens to him and how happy or pissed off it makes me feel (LOL) and (this is the part I think I'm going to enjoy the most) a rating of the SamHair, using ♥ from 1♥ (for OMG, what was the hairdresser chick thinking??? Hello, S10!!) to 5♥♥♥♥♥ (this is absolute perfection, do not touch a hair on that sweet boy's head!! Hello S8 :-) )

As I know there are more days than episodes, I'm probably going to also include some of my favourite cons and panels and other shows and movies Jared has been in, perhaps on the weekends. Yeah, that sounds good. Mon-Fri SPN eps, Sat & Sun, Non-SPN episode stuff.

So any ideas on a snappy, catchy title I could use???

Only one that comes to mind so far is "The Sam Report" but that's a bit boring, I think.

Why????

Because J2 are heading back to Australia for All Hell Breaks Loose 10 in either May or June!!!!!

I'm seeing Jared and Jensen again!!!!

I'm getting more Padahugs & squishy J2 sandwich pics!!!! And watching their panels and chatting with them during autos!!! And just being in the same room and breathing the same air!!

And with over 12 months notice, I will have enough time save up for the top tier Ultimate ticket that I have always wanted for a J2 AHBL con but could never afford. Planning on taking most (if not all) of the cost of the ticket out of this years tax refund which I'll get in July, which still leaves me months and months to save for extra group photo ops and to stay in a nice hotel and maybe even take a few days off work either side of the con.

Am so happy right now. :-) :-)

To say that I survived meeting David Duchovny!!!
He was amazing and gorgeous and funny and goofy and just simply and totally adorable.The photo op and auto were over in seconds but I will remember and cherish them for the rest of my days. Right up there with meeting Jared & Jensen. Definitely a dream come true.

Thank you, DD, from the bottom of my heart and soul. I hope I have the chance to meet you again.

And the concert was fantastic too. He sounds so much better live than what I'd seen on YouTube.
Will post more when I get back home including some wonderful periscopes my friend took.
