VPath

Vehicle Path (VPath) for Windows, AutoCAD and 12d Model, calculates the swept path of vehicles which follow a predefined steering path.

Vehicle swept paths are used in road design to check that there is sufficient room for turning vehicles to operate safely on the road network and to avoid causing damage to roadside furniture. Swept path templates are also used by vehicle designers to check that vehicles will meet the swept path performance standards set by vehicle licencing authorities.

With standalone operation, data for VPath is in the form of commands which are set up in a data file. The data is created or edited via a set of forms that guide the entry and editing of data without the user having to be aware of any commands or data formats. The data in the file constitutes a single VPath session which may be saved for later reuse. Optionally, output can be plotted to a variety of output formats using menu item VPath > Options > Preview Plot.
