A/ACE/Anonymous Confederate Ensemble
Alright! So I've tackled the first of several new bands I want to give a listen. I did some research, and this band has at least three different names that their fans use. To make things easy, I'm going to try to stick with ACE.
To start with, their style is fascinating and unique. They're Visual Kei pirates. Their sound carries these wonderful high-arching organs as well as driven guitar riffs. If I had to compare their sound to anyone else's, I'd be hard pressed to-- save for the fact that I'm a big fan of Fest Vainqueur. The vocalist, Nimo has a similar sound to Hal's, but his stage presence is a bit more robust. I would also compare them to Versailles for some of the same reasons.
Their song God Child is the one that really hooked me. It's got a great catchy hook, and the vocals layer perfectly over the guitar's heavy riff.
I'd definitely recommend them to people who already know a little bit about Visual Kei already. It might be a little bit difficult for people to "get" if they're new to the genre.
