"I'm so happy that I'm able to read books that I want to read."
"Learning Ally has made it possible for my students to access books they previously thought were out of their reach. They can read and discuss books with their friends, participate in reading clubs, and feel the joy and satisfaction of reading a good book."
"I like Learning Ally because it has so many great books to read. When I listen to books I get to learn lots of new words."
"Learning Ally has given struggling readers the ability to access complex text in ways they never have in the past. This is having a dramatic impact on thinking and learning at our school."
"It's pretty cool. I like how I can read and not get stressed out."
"In the few years I have used Learning Ally in my classroom, I have seen remarkable growth in my students. When you hear a struggling reader belly laugh while reading a book they actually understand independently - you can't put that feeling into words."
"Being able to use Learning Ally has made me want to read more challenging and interesting books. I love to listen to books while I'm having breakfast in the morning."
At Learning Ally, we empower learners with reading differences, including dyslexia, by providing innovative solutions and building meaningful partnerships.
Our volunteers directly support the many educators, students, and families who rely on Learning Ally by creating audiobooks, assisting with research, participating in call campaigns, celebrating school success, and connecting Learning Ally with companies for employee volunteer opportunities.
We currently have a dedicated group of volunteers engaged in all active roles, so volunteer opportunities are limited at this time. As new projects begin and needs evolve, we’ll send recruitment emails. If you’d like to be informed of future opportunities, please complete the volunteer interest form. Please note, we are unable to accept volunteers under the age of 18 or those enrolled in high school.
Additional ways to get involved: If your company or employer is looking to make an impact, Learning Ally offers meaningful ways to partner through grant-funded literacy-focused initiatives and corporate volunteer experiences: Learn more about Corporate Partnerships.
