Hello, it seems like photobucket started to take down everything. While my icons haven't really been affected, I'm just giving a notice that i will be moving my icon host to somewhere else. I'm going with imgur for a while, but i'll see if i can find better site in the future. I'll do my best to re-upload all my icons at least from the 2016, but it might take a while ^^;

Edit: I've re-uploaded all my icons from 2016 up until now! I will work on the previous posts before that.

I've been into this mobile game- well I've loved FE series for quite a while now and this mobile game made me miss the old FE games, anyway, I claimed it as FE:H instead of FE series is because I use all the official art from the mobile game one.

Hey~ so I'm sure you guys know that I joined bestof_icons this year which is also be my first time joining this so I'm going to post some of my thoughts about it, inspired by what cool_spectrum did right here. Thank you to everyone here for this past one year (2016) and special thanks for you who took your time to nominate my icons in the community. Anyway, here goes nothing~

Alright, first of all, I'm VERY like really very surprised with the winning icon. I've been living my life making textless icons (unless it is necessary) and last year I tried to use text once in a while. That icon was from a challenge on 20muses, the challenge was supposed to have geometrical shapes somewhere in the icon. I was trying to get out of my comfort zone and it somehow worked? XD

Last year I posted an icon summary and you all know that I always make simple icons, while as you can see this year, I tried to make more complicated icons, but well simple icons still there of course because I love simple icons LOL

What I also surprised is the blue icon (Mikleo) in the close calls. I admit I've never been good working with the color blue and I thought those texts are all over the place so I kinda surprised people like it?

Anyway, I didn't make a lot of icons last year especially the second half of the year because I was focusing on my final project in uni and luckily I've passed the final project and waiting for my graduation now~ Hopefully I will be able to make more icons this year.

Hopefully I will do more experiment with icons and I'm going to work on my typography this year. I also hope I can do more vibrant/bold colors icons instead of the soft/muted ones! The resolution is a bit late because it's March already but, why not?

Hello everyone! It's 2017 already, Happy New Year! Let's hope this year is way better than 2016! I didn't make a lot of icons back in 2016 because of IRL and gaming, but hey! I actually work on something in the start of this year!

Yes, as the title said, this post is dedicated to my favorite actor, Wada Takuma! 4th of January 2017 is gonna be his 31st birthday! (It should be 04/01 in his country when I post this) :D :D A total of 18 icons, with the first 10 of them available in 200x200 version (click the number at the table for the 200x200 version). Some of them was made back in 2016 but I didn't post them on my iconbatch~

I tried to do normal mode (I THINK?) for this challenge, inspiration post is located here.
Notes:
1) The Mountains (Joker Game)
Required theme is cold colors. Optional themes are white, monochrome.
As you can see both icons focuses on light blue (or a bit dark in the first one). I used the white optional theme for the first icon and monochrome in the second one.

2) The Tropics (Koutetsujou no Kabaneri)
Required theme is vibrant. Optional themes are scenery, levels.
Both uses the optional scenery theme

3) The Desert (Koutetsujou no Kabaneri)
Required themes are simple and brownish. Optional theme is extreme crop.
In the first icon, I ended up with half-face cropping and the second one is eye focused crop~

4) The Ocean (Diamond no Ace)
Required theme is blue. Optional themes are gradients, motion
Both use the motion optional themes as I tried to picture Sawamura (the subject) motion of pitching.

5) In the City (Bungou Stray Dogs)
Required theme is complexity. Optional themes are muted colors, text.
I personally really like how both icons turn out to be (especially the first one). Both using the muted color optional theme. An additional bonus is I included buildings in the first icon so look it more city-like!

6) In the Country (Bungou Stary Dogs & Joker Game)
Required theme is green. Optional themes are landscape, flowery.
I used the landscape optional theme on both icons. I was kinda having trouble looking for the right caps for the landscape theme LOL

7) In the Past (Joker Game)
Required theme is grunge. Optional themes are muted pastel colors, costumes.
Both went with muted pastel colors (LOL DOES IT COUNT? IDK). Anyway, I was so into using joker game for this theme because the word past suits joker game so much as the series takes place in the 2nd worldwide war~

8) In the Future (Diamond no Ace)
Required theme is geometric. Optional themes are out of the box, numbers.
I went with numbers actually (but it can also count as out of the box?). Anyways, I really like how both icons turns out to be! And the numbers (06 & 02) are basically their position numbers in baseball! XD

9) Over the Sky (Diamond no Ace & Koutetsujou no Kabaneri)
Required themes are visible stock and textures. Optional themes are multiple subjects, more than 2 colors.
I WANNA CRY AT MY FIRST ICON IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL ;___; okay stop.
I guess I went for multiple subjects;; For the first icon, I replace the background with a sky stock photo and adds the light (sun?) texture as the very visible ones. The second one I used forest stock photo and yes I don't even know what is the purpose of the light texture there omg

10) Under the Ground (Bungou Stray Dogs)
Required theme is dark. Optional themes are black&white, obscure
I used all the themes here. Idk, I just love this set of themes so much. I can't say anything else about it orz

So, animated20in20 has a special round this month. This round is about Mystery Box, I got Mystery Box #3 and we were given 20 textures and 20 themes to work with. Inspiration Notes:
01, Louise LeBourgeois, the blue color is the main focus here. As you can see in the inspirational post, it's mostly about water and waves. While the keywords is actually calm. In this icon, I would like to show the other side of the waves, which is fierce. Additional information is that the character (Mikleo) is actually a water seraph and look there's bubbles \o/

02, Louise LeBourgeois, an exact opposite from the first icon, here, I focus on the word calm. In addition, I apply the foggy looks in this icon inspired by the second picture in the inspirational post

03, David Shillinglaw, my main inspiration is from the text usage in most of the icon samples, as well as the word adventure. As you can see, the background of the icon is actually a map! and the text all over the place is basically how I interpret on his art.

04, David Shillinglaw, inspired by this icon in the inspirational post (credit is on the post btw)

05, Fran Williams, yes, a simple silhouette (lame, I know). Whenever I see her art, I can feel a dark ~~force~~ vibe from it. So yeah, that's how I end up making this icon with a dark lighting~

06, Fran Williams, defined as not being detail in her art, mainly is the reason why I actually darken in some area of the subject. Here, I wanted to point out the dramatic emotion a human can feel when you point a gun at yourself.

07, Alonsa Guevara, colorful & flower were two things came to my mind when I saw the inspirational post. So, in this icon, I have flowery flowery shape in 4 different colors. An additional info is that these 4 colors are the same colors of the fruits in the first image of her art.

08, Alonsa Guevara, as her arts are focusing on females, in this icon I would like to show the beauty side of a female. Edna (the character) isn't like the usual female, she loves to make fun/tease other people, but with just a glance I could see her beauty.

09, SIT, apart from being black and white, I'd like to point out the smokey textures in this icon.

10, SIT, still having a black and white icon, the word grotesque hits me here. As in the image it is a wind magic casted which is of course, something that isn't happening in this world~

11, Ian Francis, Lailah (the character) is a fire seraph. For this icon, it's inspired by the color red and the words flames and passion. I'd like to show how her body language shows her passion in battle.

12, Ian Francis, while the first icon mainly show fire, I'd like to have a fiery feeling in the second icon without showing the actual fire. Of course it won't be far with the color Red. I also tone down the color a bit to make it darker as the art shows the color black.

13-14, Xue Liang, Both looks the same to be honest. Mainly inspired by his paintings of scenery and earthly color.

15-16, Line Osmundsen, Same inspiration on both icons, mainly pastel colors and shapes;;

17, Richard Whadcock, a foggy feeling in the art. For the first icon, I would like to point out how the character seems to be washed out because of the fog (her arms).

18, Richard Whadcock, this icon is more to the inspiration that his art is mostly muted colors. Additional inspiration is from the icon samples for having lighting style I used here.

19, Alice X. Zhang, maintaining the word colorful and pop-art style, I use vibrant color in this icon to pop out the differences of each colors I use.

20, Alice X. Zhang, inspired by the 2nd and the 3rd of his art, in this icon I tried not to get into pop-art, but still trying to make it colorful. The starry-galaxy texture was used to show it as the "lights" in the 2nd art.
