"This is a high quality virtual event. I was surprised with all the creative and interesting settings and preparations. No chaos. I enjoyed the event from the other side of the globe, 10 hours difference. Thanks for the hard work and warm welcoming." Jing Shen, SDinGov: Virtual participant 2024
Read our participant feedback from previous SDinGov:Virtual events
SDinGov is a practical public sector service design conference that allows participants to connect and learn from their peers and leaders in the industry. Participants will include Government employees, consultants and design agencies.
The event is aimed primarily at professionals who either manage, design or develop public services including within:
- central & local government
- the 3rd sector, Arts
- Education sector services
- Health sector services
- Emergency sector services
- civic technologies
We also welcome participants who want to learn from the public sector and apply those learnings in a different setting.
What you will experience
- Code of Conduct
We’re focused on improving participant experience and raising the bar in the tech events sector. Our conference encourages a safe place to learn, be curious and experiment no matter what background or knowledge you bring. You can read our full Code of Conduct here.
- Easy
SDinGov: Virtual removes the barriers to attending in-person events - allowing you to participate comfortably from home or join colleagues at the office.
- Fresh perspectives and real world learning
Hear from experienced speakers with stories and case studies that broaden your understanding. You'll be able to learn about different perspectives (perhaps a new way of looking at a long-term challenge) and leave inspired.
- Interactive formats and peer‑learning
Participate in discussions that encourage interactive learning and engagement. As a participant you will hear and experience things you can try when you get back to work. There will be some theory, but it’ll be blended with takeaway points that can be applied later.
Opportunity tickets
We offer a limited number of opportunity tickets for people who would benefit from participating but would not otherwise be able to e.g.
• Low/no wage
• From an underrepresented group in this community
To apply email Ellie with details on why you're a suitable candidate. We’ll review requests carefully and respond as quickly as we can.
We want SDinGov: Virtual to be accessible to great people -not just big budgets.
Opportunity tickets - If you'd benefit from participating and would not ordinarily be able to do so...
