About me

Hi there! I am a Data Science graduate student at Stony Brook University based in New York, focused on product analytics and machine learning. I enjoy using data to understand user behavior, design experiments, and build models that inform real product and business decisions.

I am seeking New Grad Product Data Scientist or Applied Machine Learning roles starting May 2026, where I can combine experimentation, modeling, and stakeholder-facing insights to drive measurable impact.

Outside of work, I enjoy the pace and energy of New York City, exploring new food spots, staying active, and spending time outdoors. These experiences help me recharge and bring fresh perspective to problem solving.

Education

  1. State University Of New York at Stony Brook (New York, USA)

Master of Science in Data Science

    GPA: 3.89/4

    2024 — 2026

Pursuing advanced studies in data science with coursework in Natural Language Processing, Data Analysis, Statistical Learning, and Machine Learning in Quantitative Finance. At Stony Brook, I'm not just crunching numbers - I'm living the data dream!

  2. Acropolis Institute of Technology & Research (AITR) (Indore, India)

Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science Engineering - Data Science

    CGPA: 8.8/10

    2020 — 2024

Gained a solid foundation in computer science and data science with a focus on machine learning, deep learning, big data and data visualization. Honored with Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana (MMVY) scholarship for academic excellence.

Technical Experience

  1. Research Project Assistant @ Stony Brook Hospital

    Dr. Sharon Nachman’s Lab

    Feburary 2025 - Present

    1. Beyfortus (Nirsevimab) Project: Beyfortus (Nirsevimab) Vaccine Uptake Analysis Analyzed 52 RSV patient cases to assess vaccine uptake trends and ICU admission factors, identifying disparities in vaccination rates. Evaluated the impact of hospital admission rates, outpatient provider influence, and birth location on vaccine administration. Used Python (Pandas, SciPy, Matplotlib) for data processing, statistical testing, and visualization.

    2. Lyme Disease Project: Examined 127 patient records to determine how inflammatory markers (ESR & CRP) influenced treatment outcomes in Lyme arthritis. Found ESR levels significantly linked to requiring a second course of antibiotics, while CRP and NSAID usage had minimal impact. Applied Python (Pandas, Matplotlib, SciPy) for data analysis, hypothesis testing, and visualization.

  2. Research Assistant @ Stony Brook Hospital

Dr. Shennan A Weiss’s Epilepsy Lab

    Jan 2025 - Present

The project aims to determine if the location of epileptiform spike onset is determined by triangulation (The NIH methods) corresponds with sites where fast ripples precede epileptiform spikes more than chance. This tests the hypothesis that fast ripples can prime epileptiform spikes to occur next.

  3. Data Science Intern

    Algoventor Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

    June 2024 - August 2024

At Algoventor Solutions, I dove deep into the world of smart grid technology, developing predictive models that could forecast energy consumption with impressive accuracy. This project not only honed my skills in advanced data science techniques but also gave me a taste of how our field can revolutionize energy management.

  4. Full-Stack Developer

    Wipro

    May 2023- October 2023

My time at Wipro was like a coding boot camp on steroids! I emerged as a Full Stack Web Developer, armed with an arsenal of cutting-edge technologies. From Java to AngularJS, I got my hands dirty with real-world applications, setting a solid foundation for my journey in tech.

Leadership Experience

  1. Senator

Graduate Student Organization @ Stony Brook University

    August 2024 - Present

As a Senator in the Graduate Student Organization (GSO) at Stony Brook University, I have been actively involved in representing the interests of graduate students and contributing to the decision-making processes within the organization. In this role, I attend GSO Senate meetings, engage in discussions, and participate in voting when the primary senator is unavailable. My responsibilities include advocating for graduate students' needs, staying informed about university policies and initiatives, and collaborating with other senators and university officials to develop programs and policies that benefit the graduate student community.

  2. Secretary

    Women-in-Engineering in IEEE @ AITR

    January 2022 - December 2022

As the Secretary of Women-in-Engineering at IEEE, I directed and hosted over 15 data-driven online and offline events, focusing on inclusivity and peer support, drawing in 500+ students to build community within the STEM fields. Spearheaded the "Women’s Networking Evening" for STEM students, promoting connections and empowering underrepresented groups to access campus resources and support systems. Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail in organizing meetings, managing event logistics, and ensuring accurate team communication.

  3. Undergraduate Peer Mentor

Acropolis Institute of Technology & Research (IT Dept)

    August 2022 - May 2023

Supported over 20+ new students in navigating academic challenges and adjusting to campus life, particularly those who missed their first-year experience due to COVID-19. Conducted one-on-one mentoring sessions, guiding course selection, time management, and personal development. Organized interactive workshops on study techniques, programming fundamentals, and leveraging campus resources for academic success.
