The struggle to maintain and revitalise minoritised and endangered languages, and to reclaim their speakers’ cultural traditions and rights, is a serious and ongoing global issue. We can all do more to contribute to these efforts – but how?
We (both VIEWS and its predecessor CREWS) have been working with a partner organisation, the RISE UP project, to develop policy recommendations for supporting communities of minoritised language speakers. The policy booklet explains the extent of the problem and the backgrounds of the projects, and describes the steps needed to provide support – from funding and recognition to writing and resources. Download our policy booklet below, and you can also have a look at our short video and flyer.
