Designed by Palomba Serafini Associati, Alba is inspired by the first glow of dawn: that fleeting moment when the first tenuous light is perceived below the horizon.

The lamp is composed of two separate volumes that appear to be fused together tangentially along their respective curves: a circular base, shiny and rounded supporting the diffuser, cylindrical, translucent and solid, radiating a warm tenuous glow. This transition, almost indistinguishable between material and light defines Alba: a lamp that is perceived as a seamless gesture, a visual caress between touching surfaces.

The diffuser radiates a warm and ethereal lighting, that demands to be picked up. Its ergonomically curved base fits snugly in the palm of the hand, making it easy to move from place to place. Furthermore, the base is available in three finishes, terracotta, beige and green with a subtle elegant sheen. Alba is designed for everyday use, moving around with us to illuminate everything from intimate get-togethers around the table to cosy seating areas, helping to define calm and relaxation within any space, inside or out.

Although designed for indoor use, its portable and cordless character allows for occasional outdoor use, like a delicate, nomadic light that evokes the warmth of a contemporary candle holder. Its cordless autonomy, USB-C recharging, and lightweight design make it a practical and versatile element, ideal for both homes and hospitality spaces.

Available in a refined palette of colours, Alba adopts the natural tones characteristic of the Vibia brand, in terracotta, beige and green. Each finish highlights its smooth silhouette and tactile character, adding distinct nuances to the lamp as a decorative object.

The touch-control switch is discreetly integrated with the base, allowing a choice of three lighting intensity settings, adapting to any ambience or state of wellbeing instantly. The technology doesn’t distract from the visual purity but instead complements the design.

With Alba, Vibia reinforces its vision of light as a companion element: a piece that moves around with us and transforms the everyday into an experience of calm, warmth and quintessential beauty.

Based on this archetype the collection is constructed around the layering of materials. A completely transparent internal quartz glass cylinder contains the light source, while the lacquered glass diffuser filters and transforms it into ambience. The light appears to come from its interior, expanding outwards organically towards its surroundings, generating a dual lighting effect that combines diffused and directional lighting precisely.

Glass defines Asia’s aesthetic. Its translucent surface attenuates the light and creates a warm, tranquil glow, while the metal structure provides a discreet frame that accentuates the contrast between materiality and lightness. This combination allows the light fitting to interact with the space without overwhelming it, easily integrating with any setting.

Available in pendant, table and floor versions, Asia can adapt its aura to different environments, from hanging configurations that complement the surrounding architecture to more proximate points of light that favour intimate and precise lighting. The collection maintains its essence in all versions: a nuanced, balanced and even illumination.

Asia achieves an equilibrium between traditional and contemporary, between its integral essence and technical precision. A collection conceived to complement architecture with a light that not only illuminates but subtlety defines an atmosphere.

For the ceiling version, the collection brings the lighting to an elevated spatial plane where the structure organises the space with a clearly articulated expression. This focus transforms the light into a tool that defines both circulation and hierarchies without occupying excessive volume, freeing the visual plane and reinforcing the architectural perception.

Its design is based on a continuous structure that unfolds both horizontally and vertically. These lines intersect and extend, creating a precise geometry that introduces spatial order, rhythm, and proportion. The composition doesn’t overwhelm, but instead complements the existing elements, integrating naturally into the architecture and contributing to the overall construction of the space.

The lighting is discreetly integrated within this structural organisation, forming part of the system, without interfering with the flow. The Led technology facilitates the fusion of light and geometry within the same language, generating an even and balanced illumination, free from glare.

Nexum redefines the chandelier lamp concept, replacing its central presence with a connective logic. The light is no longer centred within a single point, instead it’s distributed homogeneously, creating expansive, bright and comfortable atmospheres. This aspect facilitates directing the light from an elevated plane with greater efficiency in terms of lighting the space, favouring a subtle presence that integrates without overwhelming the space.

More than an object, Nexum works as a modular system that adapts to different configurations and scales. These designs respond to different geometries; linear, rectangular, square and three-dimensional, allowing the lighting to be adjusted to the specific proportions of each individual space without sacrificing its formal integrity.

The collection is presented in pendant and ceiling versions, both conceived to provide a highly precise and controllable lighting. The pendant version can incorporate a combination of direct and indirect lighting, expanding on the perception of space and adding depth, while the ceiling version projects the light downwards, evenly, guaranteeing additional visual comfort.

This versatility makes Nexum a useful tool for contemporary lighting schemes, from residential spaces to larger-scale contract projects. In all cases, the collection maintains the same logic: to complement the architecture, structure the space, and create balanced lighting that integrates rather than overwhelms.

With Nexum, lighting is no longer an added element but instead becomes part of the spatial structure. A luminous geometry that connects, orders and defines, generating tranquil, bright and consistent environments.

The Collection is designed by Ichiro Iwasaki who was inspired by a simple idea: to free the physical lighting object to allow the fabric and its interior light to define the presence of the lamp. To achieve that lightweight sensation, the light source is integrated with the upper part of the shade, contained within, free from formal restrictions. The resulting textile volume is semi-transparent, as if it were infused with a warm and diffuse lighting, designed to create cosy atmospheres.

Closer is expressed in three different types of shade, designed as a lightweight and semi-transparent mesh each shade takes on slightly different proportions, wider or more elongated, to provide a repertoire of volumes that allow for the creation of custom lighting compositions. The shades are finished with a black border perimeter detail that reinforces the definition of the volume and makes it easier to integrate with different versions of the light fitting.

Each piece is individually handcrafted: the braided mesh, firm yet malleable, is woven with meticulous attention to detail to ensure an even weft that filters light without sacrificing its character. The choice of finishes draws from Vibia’s colour palette of pastel terracotta, beige, and green tones, designed to add subtle nuances to the lighting. The result is a vibrant texture with tactile and visual depth.

The collection includes pendant and portable versions (floor and table)

The pendant version can be installed via a cable, allowing for an adjustable height setting, or fixed metal rods, available in two lengths (106 cm and 150 cm), that provide greater stability on sloped ceilings or exterior locations exposed to the elements. The anchor fixing features an aluminium ceiling rose that integrates discreetly with the ceiling. These options allow for the creation of compositions with volumes suspended at different heights and variations of transparencies in space.

The floor and table versions add a mobility feature: portable, cordless and inductive charging via a base designed to maintain the formal purity of the object. Its surprisingly lightweight design contrasts with the generous visual volume of the diffuser, making it easy to move around from place to place wherever necessary.

The formal refinement of Closer doesn’t affect it performance in the outdoors. The collection satisfies the current exterior lighting regulations and was designed with durability in mind: the selected materials, the UVA radiation protection (to prevent sun damage to the colour finishes) as well as the fixings that guarantee its stability and security.

The fixed rod version provides an especially suitable version for outdoor settings where wind is an issue or for sloped roofs, minimising swaying motion and ensuring a consistent directionality for the light.

The versatility of Closer allows for playful combinations of volumes, colours and heights: the pendant lamp elements dialogue with one another creating constellations and compositions that mould the perception of space, while the portable units act as moveable halos that complete the overall lighting scheme on separate planes. The sum of these lighting parts creates a sort of symphony of cosy lighting layers that complement spaces discreetly.

Closer is a synthesis of craftsmanship and technology: hand-woven mesh, integrated light source, inductive charging solutions and dimmer control that respond to both aesthetic and functional requirements.

Designed for anyone looking for a light capable of bringing warmth and intimacy to domestic contexts, Closer turns light into a connecting thread between interior comfort and life in the great outdoors.

Outside, vast snow-covered mountains; inside, warmth, comfort and a welcoming atmosphere shape this contemporary mountain retreat, designed to invite stillness and pause. Materials play a central role: slate, natural stone and oak wood, used to envelop the architecture and create an even warmer, more inviting environment. Bespoke furniture sits alongside pieces from leading brands, within a neutral palette enriched by natural textiles such as wool and linen, soft textures and refined details.

In the dining area, a sculptural yet light presence draws attention: the striking suspended installation of Algorithm Grid luminaires by Toan Nguyen for Vibia. It interacts with the space as a floating composition, combining technique, balance and poetry. It also redefines the domestic experience, bringing it closer to that of a gallery or design showroom—yet without losing warmth. On the contrary, understanding emotion as a key element of her work, Verónica Mimoum creates spaces that accompany and resonate, a vision reflected in every detail, including the choice of this luminaire.

In a mountain home like this, where the natural surroundings and seasons shape everyday life, lighting takes on an even more defining role. Natural light shifts with snow, weather and time of day, while artificial light extends comfort, accompanies quiet afternoons and creates a warm refuge at night. It becomes essential to both the identity of the space and the wellbeing of its inhabitants.

Here, lighting acts as an emotional language: the daylight entering through large windows is balanced by the soft glow of Algorithm Grid enveloping the dining area. Its hand-blown, striated glass spheres diffract the light from within, while its black metal structure remains versatile and adaptable.

The piece becomes the focal point of the room, its suspended globes evoking a constellation of light that appears to float, casting a warm glow over the table and bringing a poetic and refined character to the space. Beyond aesthetics, it plays a key role in domestic wellbeing: shaping daily rhythms, supporting routines and creating environments of calm. Algorithm Grid turns light into a gesture that is both poetic and functional, merging design, geometry and harmony. Like drops of rain, the luminaires define the atmosphere and articulate the soul of the home.

The installation adapts to ceiling height and dining room proportions, accompanying the dialogue between materials and the surrounding landscape. Its soft, intimate atmosphere is ideal for moments of connection—whether a quiet breakfast under diffused light or a shared dinner beneath a warmer, more focused glow. Ultimately, Algorithm Grid transforms the dining area into the heart of the home: a suspended luminous composition that celebrates togetherness, stillness and beauty. A thoughtful and sensitive home where aesthetics serve comfort, and Vibia lighting accompanies everyday life with emotion.

These five residential projects, which we have compiled below, confirm this. Each of the selected homes reflects a distinct way of living, but regardless of their style, they all share something in common: light as an element that redefines the concept of home, adapting to each moment and need of the residents.

With an unusual double height configuration and spacious layout this new build home designed by architect Joost Woertman, infuses a sense of the natural while also combining colour and lighting to define the various rooms. On the ground floor the kitchen and pantry area become the focal point (and one of the family’s favourite hangouts). Here the collaboration between the Lichtadvies 010 design studio and the Plusminus collection from Vibia straddles the ceiling creating a diaphanous sculptural composition with its terracotta colour textile belt. The same collection with spotlights attached lends a tenuous illumination and intimate ambience to a separate area of the home.

The spirit of the Mediterranean infuses this residential project conceived by architect Cristina Soler (Arquemo), where natural light and the use of organic materials and neutral tones are prioritised. Vibia’s light fittings combine naturally with this cosy tandem. Wireflow reinterprets the traditional chandelier in the entrance hall, crowning the double height space.

For the day zone lamps from the Skan collection in a red terracotta colour, provide character and a homely feel over the dining room table.

Big cities are synonymous with life, choices, and multiculturalism, but also with stress and overstimulation. That explains why once we get home and cross the threshold, all we want is peace and quiet. This urban apartment, designed by Clysa, keeps the chaos of the concrete jungle at bay thanks to its lighting.

Specifically, the Tempo, Dots and Pin collections that juggle functional and comfortable lighting while exuding a stylish, timeless design. Each fitting adapts easily to its surroundings: the two versions of Tempo complement the intimacy of the bedroom; Pin illuminates the circulation zones with a subtle panache, in contrast with the timber finishes; and Dots, with its artisanal looks and efficient functionalism, creates inviting corners in living areas for reading and relaxation.

There is no better context than the one provided by Mother Nature. Just take a look at this home created by interior designers Olivegrey as proof. With the colour green as a backdrop and a palette of natural materials throughout the interior the light acts as a connecting thread. Within the living room the Sticks installation highlights its pure forms and timber finishes, while also connecting the double height space resembling more a floating sculpture.

Here also located strategically placed above the sofa, Tempo adds a warm engaging lighting through its design that blends the classic and the contemporary. And lastly, in the dining room Flat provides a smooth even immersive light that never detracts from the exterior views.

Francesc Rifé and María José Delgado came up with this project for a house that looks as if it’s been conceived for digital nomads fleeing the hustle and bustle of city life.

Inside there’s a dialogue between the concrete and natural oak finishes with lighting collections such as Ghost used in the entrance hall, giving off an ethereal ambience, or Flamingo whose lights lend the dining table the airy presence that a home by the sea deserves.

As we’ve tried to show here the thing that connects all these residential projects isn’t any particular style or setting, instead it’s much more subtle (but effective): the use of light, in sympathy with the architecture, to bring comfort, character and beauty to the home. In other words, the design of the lighting scheme as a source for emotional wellbeing.

Whether it be a Mediterranean garden or an urban terrace the following refuges keep us in contact with the natural world, and curating their design, especially the lighting, is key to enjoying the uplifting experience they provide. Lighting that follows the rhythm of the day and becomes the focus of attention at night, contrasting light and shade, complementing the architecture and integrating with the landscape.

The first project takes us to the heart of Sydney, next to its iconic Opera House. And specifically, to the gardens surrounding Government House, where landscape architect Jane Irwin‘s redesign has successfully updated this idyllic landscape without sacrificing its essence, opting for native species and an organic layout that connects the building to the harbour.

The light fittings from the Bamboo collection, with their marked slender silhouette, are dotted around the pathways like an extension of the planting scheme. During the day the elegant profile discreetly integrates with the setting; while at night they project an even illumination that lights the way and reveals the subtleties of the garden.

This single-family residence on the Costa Brava, designed by Cristina Soler, constitutes an exercise in combining architecture and nature, where white stone, natural wood textures and a subtle chromatic palette create a pure Mediterranean ambience that blends seamlessly with its coastal setting.

Here, the exterior lighting complements the architecture discreetly, integrating with the garden and highlighting the natural landscape. Bamboo is camouflaged between the greenery like a piece of sculpture; Brisa projects a warm beam of concentrated light that frames the fragrant plants; while Meridiano throws a stripped light over the ground plane, combining functionality and art.

The light and the views are the common thread that runs through this house in Malta, whose refurbishment directed by the Rome based Luca Peralta Studio, aimed to celebrate the relationship between the built environment and the landscape. To achieve that end the architecture is organised over two horizontal planes, that frame the views and underline the sensation of space and calm.

Just beside the swimming pool the Bamboo collection defines the limits of space and introduces a sculptural organic element. Its slender stems that emit a warm integrated light, suggest the form of the bamboo while projecting reflections over the surface of the water, effortlessly integrating with the setting.

Along the exterior circulation that connects different areas of the villa, several pieces from the Meridiano collection are arranged in a row, addressing two requirements: lighting the path and providing seating. Their LED light source creates a striking interplay of light and shadow on the ground, transforming the terrace into a place of relaxation from which to contemplate the villa’s Mediterranean garden and the sea, in the distance.

The last project is accommodated within an urban terrace in Barcelona, designed by Josep Lluís Xuclà that brings together natural materials, meeting and relaxation areas, as well as a selection of light fittings that adapt to the different phases of the day.

From the Out series, that provides a diffuse light with minimum contrast, to the elegant and warm lighting provided by Mayfair Mini, and the Empty collection that acts as table, stool and lamp all at the same time, not forgetting unique fittings such as Bamboo and the Meridiano sconce lamp, Vibia displays the versatility of its outdoor collections to perfection in the creation of welcoming spaces within any context, both commercial and domestic.

In summary, these four projects, although very different in scale and ambition, share the same conviction: lighting the outdoors redefines the relationship between architecture, landscape and human experience. Beyond simply lighting, they create spaces for rest and enjoyment, but also for freeing up our minds to meditate and think creatively (or as David Lynch would put it: catching the big fish).

The Cosentino showroom in the Canadian city of Toronto represents a space where materials, architecture and lighting come together in perfect calibrated harmony, to create a generous exhibition space, both modern and bright, whose height allows these sensations to be appreciated.

From a general perspective the various collections act as an invisible structuring device that shapes and guides a route while interacting with the surroundings, from the entrance threshold to any of the several spaces which configure the showroom, providing a pleasant sensation of spaciousness.

Each collection lends identity to the space for which it has been selected, illuminating the same environment, accommodating different functions, perfectly defined by each light fitting. Wireflow Lineal adds a bold graphic presence in the reception area; while Plusminus flows through the space; and Kontorno frames the light with precision within the interior rooms.

Each light fitting not only distinguishes its own personality, generating an attractive visual presence, but the showroom is also capable of creating a dialogue with the exhibited materials introducing different luminous registers within the same project.

Just beyond the threshold, the eye is captured by the importance of the lighting scheme as a key part in the overall project and which responds to a carefully considered configuration of the space, with its associated furniture and accessory elements. All within a selected range of neutral colour tones that generate a calming atmosphere which invites taking pause and exploring the spatial connections, and above all discovering and touching the Cosentino designs.

The first area that visitors encounter is the reception, delimited by a desk with a strong visual presence, thanks to the slatted material expression. Its vertical lines are accentuated on plane above with the Wireflow Lineal collection, designed by Arik Levy, the black cables trace an aerial silhouette that is both sober and precise.

The geometric outline floats in the air welcoming visitors with a poetic expression of light while also offering a clear and direct illumination (diffusor-free) above the elegant desk while accentuating its surface textures and volume.

From this same entry point, a succession of Plusminus fixtures run through the showroom space featuring compositions of spheres and cones, creating an ordered, aerial continuity. This design by Diez Office, characterised by its textile belt with integrated electrical wiring, allows the fittings to be freely positioned according to their function.

The spherical version of Plusminus offers 360° illumination, a more general and diffuse light, from a central position that crowns the main showroom area. The conical version, on the other hand is only featured in a specific area, over the main table, with a more directed diffuse lighting that responds to a particular lighting requirement.

The showroom includes another separate room for which another collection was selected, Kontorno, a Sebastian Herkner design, that introduces a different language. For this project the version with a curved metal deflector was chosen that projects the light downwards in a precise beam. The practically imperceptible cables evoke a sensation of weightlessness which enhances the immersive lighting generating a controlled attenuation effect.

The Cosentino showroom project in Toronto illustrates the value and potential of very different lighting collections, thanks to a careful previous deliberation of the interior design approach, one that offers a diverse range of mutually complementary and coherent configurations. In such a way that the three together construct a sensorial experience that runs through the space, ordering it, and lighting it, but also lending character.

Architect Pitsou Kedem‘s projects mirror his way of life: a constant search for light, silence, and matter. From his studio, which he founded in 2000, he explores a profound and expressive vision of minimalism defined by rich materials, respect for context, and a desire to bring order to chaos. His buildings are an invitation to pause and a balm for the senses. In an enlightening conversation, he shares with us his sources of inspiration, the principles that guide his work and the routines that shape his life. Through his eyes—those of a photographer and architect—we discover a way of seeing and understanding light as raw material, as an element that shapes reality and gives it depth.

Pitsou Kedem tells us how, from the moment he set foot in the monument erected by the sculptor Danny Karavan in the Negev desert, everything changed. It was in that habitable sculpture made of concrete, with geometries drawing a play of light and shadow, that his love for architecture was born.

In his buildings, Pitsou gives space for the materials to breathe, and in his mind, he does the same with his thoughts. That’s why he always carries a book in his backpack and every day finds time to sit in a café and read. By immersing himself in the lives of others, he is able to disconnect, clear his head, and sharpen his focus.

James Turrell and his artistic approach to light and space helped Pitsou reconcile two facets of himself: the need for order and the search for warmth. His first encounter with Turrell’s work was at the Israel Museum, home to “Space that sees,” an environmental sculpture that opens up to the sky and invites meditative contemplation of the movement of clouds and light that bathes the space. In his projects, he seeks to recreate such material and formal restraint that leaves room for emotion and thought.

He feels the same way when he contemplates Turrell’s work as he does every time he visits his greatest source of inspiration: nature. Climbing in the Norwegian fjords, the silence allows his thoughts to wander as he observes the light “painting on the blank canvas that is the landscape”. Back in the studio, he pours that feeling into his projects, designing them so that they do not impose themselves, so that they allow those who inhabit them to express their inner beings.

A strong belief guides their work: light is to a space what raw material is to a structure. It is used to build, to shape. In the studio, he approaches each building as an opportunity to let light penetrate and bring meaning and textures alive, highlighting volumes. For him, architecture is “the human experience in space” and light is his ally in enriching it. That is why he considers that his 25-year career can be summed up in a minute in cinema: the scene in the film The Brutalist in which the protagonist uses a flashlight to show how light will fall on the future building.

His language is made up of dichotomies, tensions, and well-resolved balances. He is well aware that without darkness we cannot appreciate light. That is why he pursues a kind of minimalism that is neither neutral nor cold; it is exciting, expressive, enriched by the contrast between light and shadow, between colors and textures. If he had to choose just one piece of advice to give to a young architect: “Find your language and stay true to it until the end. Even if there is noise out there. Even if others tell you that it is extreme, that it is exaggerated. Believe in your architectural truth”.

In a profession often dominated by ego, Pitsou runs in the opposite direction: he seeks to work with people who are eager to share their ideas because, for him, teamwork is essential to awaken a kind of creativity that only comes from dialogue and diversity. Just in the same way emotion arises from the dialogue between light and matter within a space.

“I am not an architect who also takes photos; I am a photographer who also builds.” This is how Pitsou defines himself, and that way of looking at the world—and architecture—through the lens that was the origin is still present in his work today. And it is not just the gaze, it is the whole process, what precedes and follows the shot. The wait for what is seen to be exposed: by the light that falls on the building just before capturing it, by the light that penetrates the negative and imprints it, by the chemicals that will gradually print that snapshot in the darkroom. With the attitude of a photographer, he draws the building: little by little, letting it reveal itself.

Within the entrance to the restaurant the eye is drawn to the timber finish of the sliding door and the wood panelling of the walls that acts as backdrop to the Silo signage, welcoming visitors and giving them a taster of the warm and sensual ambience that defines this establishment. Only the corporate red, powerful yet subtle, used for the lettering, the door handle and specific elements of the interior are allowed to deviate from the monochromatic harmony of the space.

The restaurant is located within the Wake Biohotel in the city of Medellín, Colombia, organised around the farm-to-table concept that celebrates authenticity, sustainability, and a connection to the land. The goal of the project’s author, 5 Sólidos studio, is for this culinary philosophy to be reflected in the interior design, highlighting the quality of the light and the architectural design through clean lines and organic style that conveys the purity of nature.

Restaurant diners at Silo can enjoy real and honest cuisine that connects to the origins of each and every ingredient, an experience that is enriched by the setting featuring pure forms, quality materials, an earthy colour scheme and natural fibres crafted by local artisans. And as part of this dialogue between the space and the gastronomy the Circus Solo collection adds a particular spatial lighting to the recipe, speaking the same language, based on its principles of calm, precision and authenticity.

Designer Antoni Arola opted for the hanging version from the collection, given that it allows for the combination of point, focused or diffuse lighting to accentuate the more organic details of the interior and complement the honest authentic culinary experience, even highlighting the textures of individual culinary dishes.

These adaptable lighting effects offered by the collection can be aligned with the functional requirements of the restaurant, organised over two floors, facilitating the creation of different levels of intimacy without affecting the overall composure of the space.

The light from Circus Solo is softly filtered through the natural fibres of the hanging installations within the central area of the restaurant, establishing a visual rhythm that contrasts with the slope of the ceiling radiating a sensation of calm and movement all at the same time.

In addition, a private events space is located on the upper level of the structure extending the spatial narrative further, enhanced by the warm and versatile lighting that encourages conversation. And there’s a hidden speakeasy, with a more intimate and enigmatic ambience, where the lighting takes centre stage, thanks to its adjustable intensity and contrast.

This project clearly demonstrates how Circus Solo goes far beyond its basic lighting function, capable of transforming the light as an exercise in composition. In this way it allows interior design professionals to create different atmospheres that evolve with the space, and where each light fitting becomes a gesture, and each beam a note that adds to the whole.

An interior where the light nurtures the sensorial aspects of the space. Just as the Silo restaurant’s cuisine allows the palate to savour the essence of every ingredient.

Designed by Martín Azúa and available in both linear and circular configurations, Halo Jewel elevates its surroundings with a sense of serenity and poise. Defined by formal rigour, each volume is conceived as an integrated whole. Vertical lines and horizontal rings hover delicately in the air, washing the space with a bright, fluid light.
