BS Zelda
Sometimes there are ideas that are ahead of their time and technology hasn't quite made it to where the ideas are.
One example, "in 1995 they released a special accessory for the Super Famicom called Stellaview, or BS-X. It was an add-on that attached to the bottom of the system. This system hooked the Famicom to a special satellite system where you could access games, special information, and gaming news. It was like the Sega Channel."
From this development a game called BS Zelda came into existence. Sorta a remake of the NES Legend of Zelda with Super NES graphics with some modifications. Disappointingly, it was never completed. However, thanks to fans with hacker skillz, it was hacked, a few adjustments made (such as ability to play as Zelda or Link; the removal of the 57 minute time limit...) and the levels were completed.
