Finally. Tea that is worth my time.

I suppose I should give that poltergeist some credit of being useful. He has amused me and paved the way to a decent enough tea shop. Much more than that filthy mutt has offered me throughout his pitiful lifetime.

['Um... wait... ma'am, where did you even come from...?' Except this person's opinion doesn't matter. No one's opinions matter when it comes down to Rachel. Not yours, not yours, and... nope, not even yours. This includes Dai, you little shit!!]

Now, where was I?

Ah, yes. Gii, Nago. Do be useful for once and pour me some sugar.

[Ayuuppppp, she's done her job now, and is just going to park her fat ass down in this poor guy's house and drink some tea while hopefully, Ragna is doing something useful... oh what the hell he's probably doing something dumb right about now.

Actually no this is just an announcement to Hazama in the most annoying way possible that yeah, she's still alive you little shit. She's watching your every move!!]

[ First thing: a curious face peering in. Good morning, Nuadoria. Say hello to an up close and personal view of curious eyes, blinking, studying. Bewildered by this newfangled contraption, but at the same time, so very fascinated and entertained. It's not everyday a man like him sees something like this in his lifetime, after all. What could it be? It's definitely something of western origin, that much he is sure of, but these buttons, and the screen itself—what is their purpose? What does it really do?

It seems like he's determined to find out, because after shaking the device a bit, and a few rattles, the feed goes completely dead. (Whoops.) ]

...

[ The next time it comes alive, several minutes have already passed. He's still as amused as ever - perhaps, even more so now. He runs fingers through his hair and sighs, almost in a resigned manner, but the smile on his face says otherwise. If you take a closer look, there might be a few gashes on the corner of the screen, as if someone had tried to chip away at it in an attempt to pry it off. ]

Oya, oya—what's this? A polite child said I could use this to talk, but what if I don't want to? It's like talking to empty space, and I haven't gone mad yet. [ Just a beat. ] But, that doesn't matter so much now, does it?

[ Something seems to have caught his eye, because he's out of the camera's view in the following seconds. You don't see much of anything else for a while. ]

So, what should I say? I could tell you all about how a plum is a plum, but that would only be interesting to one person, maybe two—and neither of them are here. [ Here's another pause, but it's longer this time, just a bit quieter. ] Maybe that's for the best, I think. This place is already looking to be such a bore.

[ He reaches for the device again and focuses it on himself, giving a glimpse of everything around him. It's a gorgeous day, but something in Okita's eyes doesn't seem to reflect the current weather even as he continues to smile. To be in a place like this, of course it isn't going to sit well with him. He was supposed to be dead, after all.

But, if this is what the afterlife is going to be like, then he might as well go along with it- ]

I guess for most of you, something like this is a part of your lifestyle by now, isn't it? I wonder how you got used to it.

Looking down, you see nothing suggesting the platform is being held up: it seems just suspended.

On one end you stand. On the other stands the dragon that aided you in combat earlier. It eyes you with judging eyes, almost humanlike in quality of assessing something before them.

It's as if you are at a showdown and it's waiting for you to make the first move.

You have been chosen to take up this war. I will assist you in your endeavors, whatever they may be. Good, Evil, or Neutral, it is your choice to make and yours alone. I will follow your path, but choose your path wisely. It is not a road one can easily turn back on.

Should you need me in battle, summon me and I will be there. That symbol is proof of our pact.

It spreads its wings then (if it has any), lifting on hind legs before landing back down hard with an intimidating roar, enough that surely the glass should break beneath the both of you and it does, sending you plummeting. As you look up you see the dragon's rapidly fading form watching your descent as you fall and then it and everything else—including the shards of glass—dissipate again into the darkness.

You wake up in your hotel rooms. However, something is different this time. Walking the halls, the staff greet you, but they seem more formal, less aware of your name. The ones at the counter have to look up your names on their computer in order to correctly address you (and they do). But most, you are addressed as Miss and Sir and nothing more.

Wandering you will easily find the exits to the hotel as well, and step outside, a rather remote area with a path leading away. Following the path for 5 minutes will bring you to a rather familiar residential area.

<lj-embed id="2" />

You stop, look at the people around you, passing and bustling on by on their daily business and maybe explore. For those who had been in the city of Nuadoria before its collapse, you'll realize that this is indeed the same city. This is Nuadoria.

But, somehow or another, this is not the Nuadoria you were placed in. This place is lively, full of excitement and life: where are you exactly?

Or, perhaps the better question one might start thinking if they're crazy enough: when?

You might take out your communicator device. You'll notice it's connected and online. Now, you have a choice to make.

Do you use it or do you not?

[ooc link]
