I'm sorry I didn't post that update that I promised. I actually haven't touched my laptop that I brought with me to my parents house over holidays yet. I keep using my iPhone for everything.
But um. I'm leaving for new York in about 4 hours. That's cool and interesting, right? Yep. The update will happen when I get back. PROMISE.
Hmm. Yeah. Livejournal is feeling a bit extinct. Or perhaps evolved into somethig different from what I remember. I think people only really use it for communities and fandoms and stuff. Or posting creative things like art and writing. That's okay. I can use it for all of those things.
I miss what it used to be though, when people would post things about their life and stuff. Not many people do that anymore. Maybe they just started feeling weird about posting personal things on the Internet, even if you could control who sees it. I have kind of always felt weird about that to some degree, but I'm not as open about stuff in general as most people I dont think.
I'm on my iPhone right now so maybe I'll post something of a concise formal life update when Im back on my computer. I'm convinced there is still a use for this thing for me. Too bad it has been raped by advertising.

I kinda feel like if I am gonna post, though, I'm gonna have to write about interesting things. Like, my... life? I guess? Which I am not sure is so interesting. Depends on how much personal detail you get into, which I am not sure I am really comfortable sharing, no offense to anyone on my flist who may still read, but I don't really know anyone on here very well anymore.
I think maybe I will try and post some interesting things like maybe pictures of things or things I find interesting or art or whatever else I'm up to. Whatever catches my fancy. That seems like it might make more sense.
So, here is some new art. This is a digital painting commissioned by my boyfriend for his sister's wedding gift. It's of her and her husband's World of Warcraft characters.
He also convinced me to randomly submit this drawing I did to designbyhumans. Originally I was gonna try threadless but it was too complicated for an image I didn't really make to be put on a tshirt.. XD;; I just drew it for fun. but check it out and vote for it if you want. (click the image.) I doubt it will win anything but it'll be interesting to see how many votes it gets...
I was thinking of doing this theme as a series and maybe selling prints on etsy. If it gets a decent amount of votes I might try that. What do you guys think? Would it be a good idea? I'm currently working on one with a pilot girl being flown around by an archaeopteryx.. :D
Some sketches I did in my sketchbook while on my Scotland-Italy trip during May. The first two have a lot of hours put in them, because I got really fussy, being trapped with a mechanical pencil on a tiny piece of paper. I was also bored, haha, so I just rendered the shit out of everything. Not having a computer + tablet drove me crazy after a month D:
This time some fanart/a gift for steen18286. It's Howl and Calcifer from Howl's Moving Castle! :D Done in marker, pencil crayon and gouache, with some colour touch ups in Photoshop.
This is marker with gouache on some kinda cool parchment paper or something. They are Ka'rist and Ma'tu, enerjak's characters from her comic Signum Fas. Just done as a random gift. XD

Last Wednesday I caught a purse-snatcher who stole emlan's purse (30 points). Last Sunday I helped drakhen see the light (8 points). In July I pushed saibakato in the mud (-17 points).

Oh man, there's nothing better to do on Halloween than sit and eat candy and watch scary ghost story shit on youtube. I'm watching episodes of Ghost Adventures right now. Does anyone notice that sometimes when you're walking or driving down the street, suddenly a street light you are under/near suddenly just goes out? Does anyone know why this is? It weirds me out, because it happens to me 1-2 times a week, sometimes more depending on how often I'm outside when it's dark out. Even my dad notices how often it happens because when we go running together at night it happens ALL THE TIME. Is there a logical explanation for this or do I have some weird Magneto thingie going on that's messing with the lights? XD
