Hopefully, we can both just relax most of the day, since it looks like we'll be getting those full 18 inches of snow today. Anyway.

I know my posts are usually pretty scattered, but I'll make this last bit quick. Since I have been away for so long, I forget to share photos. I ended up finally cosplaying Smoker. Seriously, the whole thing? It kicked so much ass. I'll be bringing it to Anime Boston and Otakon if we can make it this year but.

Have some photos!

All right, I am off like sauce.
So it's been a long time. Really, far too long. I was going through some pretty rough shit for a long period of time. That, and I decided to take up hours upon hours of work. I'm sorry I disappeared without a word; I've just come up with the bravado to actually return here. I miss those I lost contact with so much. If anyone is still out there, hit me up? I really do miss you guys.

There are a lot of things that have gone right and some that have gone wrong.
Hello friends.

A lot has happened in these past few months and thus, I have been away. I know I said something about moving, but the situation seems to be getting normal. However, I apologize because I have basically dropped off the face of the earth and that includes the RPs I am in. I am really sorry. Things have just been so hectic and confusing; I've also been working more so I have not had time to even catch a breath. When I do, I'm usually doing a lot of other things. I am really sorry for leaving you guys hanging. I'll try to be back soon.

Love,
Tony

"Kids get outta my yard" type of mentality going on; except instead of threatening with a broom handle, it's usually a large bazooka said perpetrator is looking down the barrel of. He titled by many as a "beserker" type; one minute, he may be collected, but come the next second he could be trying to tear your throat out with his bare hands.

But Wiper has reasons for his anger. He loves his people and the land that his people have inherited from his ancestors. He has a deep longing for the past and has a sense of duty towards the sacrifices of his ancestors. But because his mind is so wrapped up in this sense of duty, he tends "to blind him[self] thus causing Wiper to become more violent and push himself beyond his physical limits." (One Piece Wiki)

During the first few encounters with Wiper, it beyond obvious that he distrusts people. While the Straw Hat crew had the same goal as him in the beginning, Wiper resorted to attacking them individually as a means of trying to get rid of them. Again, this is a great example of his "berserker" attitude.

But after Luffy reveals himself to be on the same side, despite having opposing ideals and the such, Wiper does, indeed, calm to some extent. But the fighting spirit and the temper are still there in spirit.
What your character can offer: Wiper is a tough man; normal amounts of pain don't seem to phase him, at least he doesn't let them phase him. He's good for a battle, even chomps the bit at the opportunity. But because he was raised on a piece of land that was the basic equivalent to a reservation, he's resourceful. He finds ways to get weaponry and he's a determined soul. I think he would be good at finding different means of hunting and using what earth is left in the desolate to create more non-conventional forms of weaponry (spears, make-shift bombs, bow and arrow types) in order to survive in this new, crazy world.
What items will they be bringing with them? Wiper uses two forms of weaponry. One is a type of bazooka that has the ability to release something like canon fire, but it is also powered by objects known as "dials." This allows the bazooka to form something similar to a gas powered flame; it uses an ignition process that creates a "burn" effect, thus coining the term "burn bazooka." While I would love him to have the bazooka, I know it's probably a big advantage for him to have something like that. If you do allow it, I would ask a limitation on the dials and ammunition.

On the subject of dials, I would really love for Wiper to keep his Reject Dial; this dial is wrapped up in bandages and attached to Wiper's right hand. It is supposedly supposed to kill the user who taps into the power, but Wiper has used it multiple times during the whole battle against Enel and his priests. The dial essentially takes in energy as it is knocked around and releases ten-times that amount of energy into a target. However, while causing extreme harm to the intended target, it also affects the user gravely. Many of Wiper's initially injuries are caused by the item and I think it would be a nice double-edged weapon in a place like this - deadly, but he'd also have to use it wisely.

Other than that, if he could keep his seastone-covered skates to move around, that'd be fab. If not, no worries. Grass skirt and tribal adornments would be excellent.

Third-Person Sample: Wiper was no stranger to the smell of a fight.

Or a former battle, as it seemed. Charred earth mounted itself high up across structures that were both foreign and ugly to the Shandian. Metal twisted up like horrible fingers and tore into the sky, ripping at the low ceiling that seemed to blot out all traces of sunlight. And a bitter cold swept the land, speaking to the ghosts of a planet long-since torn apart by people who had no respect for it.

Something in Wiper ached at the sight; whether it was the want for revenge or the want for an answer, he could not point out the source. All that he knew was that he felt sick to his stomach and his throat was suddenly quite dry.

His nostrils flared as he picked himself up off from the gravel. The broken stone rocked at his feet and small pebbles tumbled down into crevices unknown. Wiper tilted his gaze upwards and felt a deep frown carve into his face. How dare they.

But Wiper had to remind himself - it wasn't his land. Still, the acidic feeling crawling up his throat made his heart pump with a fire. He wet his lips, tongue searching for the familiar cigarette. It found nothing but jagged flesh. An emptiness there signified something; loss, maybe desire.

The Shandian's lips curled back and wrinkles shot up his nose.

He was angry that he had been taken from his land, that was first and foremost. No explanation, no understanding of where he was - a confused man was an irrational man and Wiper was quite good at being irrational. But on top of that, the destruction around him harped on a familiar memory of not-too-long-ago; Enel and his wake of terror felt all throughout the Sky was an event the Shandian had a hard time forgetting. He could distinctly remember the fires engulfing the land his people had once cherished and worshiped.

Before long, his fingers had coiled back up into his palms, and his heart was beating against an exposed chest. What peace and tranquility had filled his soul even slightly, rage returned and overflowed - any sort of harmonious thought that Wiper had held after the war released from his body in a few short breaths. Anger and resentment tipped the proverbial scale of understanding and set his eyes blind. Visors up, the Warrior wrapped his fingers around the handle of a familiar weapon.

First-Person Sample: [ VIDEO ]

[It seems the individual in question does not realize he's being recorded, or maybe he's just ignoring the fact. Shadows cast themselves across a form, masking some of the man's interesting features - grass skirt, mohawk ponytail, odd tattoos lining the left side of his body. He shifts slightly and a large round tube of metal exposes itself to the light.]

It isn't over yet. [A pause; a flicker of fire sparks up from the man's lips for a second before thin strips of smoke wash out into the air.] Sacrifice, turmoil - it isn't over yet. I really don't care who this land belongs to, but -

[Eyes open; the man turns, revealing a rather impressive facial tattoo.] - forcible separation from what we rightfully won and being left in a place like this. It's unacceptable.

[He turns back and extends his right hand in front of him; his palm seems elevated in an odd shape, as if there is something bound to his hand under all those white bandages. His fingers twitch.] It's been long enough; it shouldn't be a problem. [His fingers roll up onto it, concealing the palm again. Wiper drops his hand and turns to directly face the communication device.]

My first assumption was the Blue Sea, but that seems entirely out of the question. If you are hearing this and you are ready to fight, be prepared to leave your own kind behind. [The last of his sentence seems to sound a little tired, like this has all been said and done before.]

So, this past weekend I almost lost Nick. At one in the morning, a storm was coming in and I was going to pick him up at the Beverly Station. Problem is that Beverly has three separate commuter rail stops and one isn't even on the map. So, I was racing through the snow, panicking at every stop and screaming for my boy. I called the cops and they informed me of the mysterious Beverly Depot - he was there and freezing after being out in the snow and ice for an hour and a half. Since they, we've been keeping things quiet. Sorry for having a fit.

anon meme.

New game stuff. Making things. :D

Welcome to Impel Down;

You know what's happened to you; they've boiled you, told you that you've done heinous crimes against the World Government and you will either rot here or be executed. It all depends on your crimes and the sins you've committed in your lifetime. Thick bands of stone line your wrists and you are marched to one of the six levels of this hellish prison - all you can hear are the screams of tortured prisoners and the low growls of beasts out of your worst nightmares. But you've never been here before, have you? You don't even know what the hell the World Government is.

You soon will.

Premise;

impeldown is a survival horror based RPG set in the infamous prison of One Piece known as Impel Down. Whomever you choose to play here will retain their powers, but they will be zapped temporarily from the seastone shackles placed upon him or her on their arrival. Most people who come from different worlds won't know what they have done - some will. The choice is up to the player.

There are six levels to this hell hole, all with unique tortures for their prisoners. Most of the people here are pirates and convicts sentenced to life behind these bars. Dark creatures lurk in the shadows, ready to beat any and all obnoxious prisoners to death without a second thought.

But, unlike the series, there is no way out. The doors will open every night for any prisoners willing to take the plunge in this insane world. The cuffs will come off and maybe, just maybe, you'll find some sort of solace out there. But with everything, there is a price. Anyone who wanders off and causes trouble will have to face the wardens in this horrific prison. Problem is, they're just as mentally unstable as most of the prisoners that reside here.

Have fun.

Things to Know;

Each prisoner is given a live-channel feed to broadcast off of. Other prisoners can hack into this feed; sometimes, it's a private line. Other times, the wardens are watching. A small phone that resembles a snail is waiting in the cell your character is placed in; this line is your character's only communication with other prisoners on different floors. It can only transmit voice recordings.

The Den Den Mushi (the snail phone) will be labeled with your character's name and prison number, allowing for other people to make direct contact with it. You cannot post anything private until you get this information. Anything and everything will be open to the public until you get specific names and numbers from people. Oh, isn't Impel Down such a catering place?

Your character will also be stripped of their clothing and given the appropriate black and white prison attire that is so common in these kinds of establishments. However, all items they may have had before have been saved on one of the floors - this includes the usual clothing, jewelry and even weapons they may have had in their previous life. If you can find it, you can have it.

Until you get caught, that is.

Each player will be given a level for their character to be in, depending on how bad they actually are. Should you wish to choose your own level, since the moderators do not know every fandom out there, you may. Here are the choices;

[Taken from One Piece Wiki]

Level 1: Crimson Hell (紅蓮地獄, Guren Jigoku?) is the first level of Impel Down in which prisoners are kept. While the level relatively is used for less wanted criminals, it contains a large forest of red trees. The leaves of the trees, known as Kenju (剣樹, bladed tree?), are as sharp as blades while the grass on the floor, the Haribarisō (針々草, needle grass?), is as spiky as needles. Here prisoners are forced to run through the forest while being chased by poisonous spiders and guards to experience all the pain from being cut from all directions. As consequence of prisoners being forced through this forest, it is soaked in blood. Deep within the forest is a hole that leads to Level 2. For those who do not wish to live through the pain of being cut any longer, they were given the option of jumping down the hole to Level 2, which contains an even more terrifying hell that nobody is willing to risk. The security here seems to be somewhat lax, as a prisoner has managed to sneaked a Black Den Den Mushi into his cell, eavesdropping on what is happening around the fortress.

Buggy was kept here prior to his escape due to the guards not knowing he was a Devil Fruit user, much less one whose power rendered him completely impervious to this type of torture.
Level 2: Wild Beast Hell (猛獣地獄, Mōjū Jigoku?) is the second level of Impel Down in which prisoners are kept. Buggy commented that every prisoner from level 2 that escaped with him holds a bounty higher than his own[7] (15,000,000 Beli). It contains various wild beasts of sorts. The beasts kept here include Puzzle Scorpions and Manticores. Puzzle Scorpions are large poisonous insects that can join together to become giant centipedes. Manticores are man-eating human faced lions that will devour everything from their prey including the bones. Their human faces allow them to speak however they can only imitate what they hear like parrots as they don't understand what they're actually speaking. The words they speak are mostly things they heard from the prisoners so some of the things that they say are completely out of place. Among these regular-sized beasts kept here are also two gigantic beasts, the Basilisk and the Sphinx.

The Basilisk is a gigantic snake born from a chicken. It is a feathered mutant that possesses both snake and chicken traits. It is extremely strong that it gave Luffy and Buggy a good chase until it was downed with one blow of Gear Third from Luffy. Though formidable, the Basilisk is not the most powerful beast in the level. It is considered to be the "second-in-command".

The Sphinx is a gigantic human faced feathered lion. Significantly larger than the Basilisk and much more fearsome than the other beasts, it is considered the "boss" of the level and is charged with guarding the stairway that leads out of the level. It is so fearsome that the prisoners kept in the level, and even the other beasts hide from it. Like the Manticores, it is capable of imitated speech. It randomly says the names of types of noodles and apparently understands the concept of giving thanks before meals. It is such a strong beast that it is capable of breaking the floor beneath it if it hits it enough times.

With these various beasts, prisoners kept here are forced to be chased by them through the corridors of the level. Because of the fearsome danger, prisoners often either lose the will to go on, or refuse to escape even when their cells are unlocked.

Mr. 3 was kept here prior to being set free by Luffy and Buggy. After both the Basilisk and the Sphinx were defeated, and along with all the prison doors being unlocked, there was a mass riot in the level caused by Luffy and his companions. The riot however was quelled down by Saldeath and his Blue Gorillas. There was recently another riot that occured shortly after the previous riot but has since been quelled after Magellan apparently decimated almost all the prisoners on the level and blocked all the entrances and exits. However, as Magellan is now occupied with Luffy's breakout army, the rioters of Level 2 is once again active.

Level 3: Starvation Hell (飢餓地獄, Kiga Jigoku?) is the third level of Impel Down in which prisoners are kept. Most of the prisoners kept here are pirates who have a bounty of 50,000,000 or higher. On this level, prisoners feel the heat rising up from Level 4 and are given precious little food and water to keep them in a near death state. They are reduced to the point where merely looking at them cannot tell that they were anywhere near once frightening criminals. And while the temperature here is nothing compared to the following level below, it is intense enough to cause overwhelming dryness, resulting in Level 3's somewhat desert-like terrain. Mr. 2 Bon Kurei was kept here, despite his bounty being only 32,000,000.

In the middle of the level is a large hole going directly to Level 4 down below. This combined with a gigantic fan directly above the hole, serves as the main ventilation system to redirect the smoke produced from below. Level 4 can be reached through this hole, however, to travel down it holds a risk of death or scalding by the fire and heat of the floor below.

Level 4: Blazing Hell (焦熱地獄, Shōnetsu Jigoku?) is the fourth level of Impel Down in which prisoners are kept. At this level, a pool lies filled with boiling blood heated by a raging fire making it extremely hot. The heat caused by this is so intense that it also heats up the level directly above it. If one tries to jump down to this level from Level 3 using the large hole used for ventilation above but don't land on a safe place, then they're dead.

Prisoners from other levels are regularly tortured here. The most prevalent form of torture here however is being thrown into the gigantic pot of boiling blood in the middle of the level.

Mr. 1 was kept here, though he was shown to be unfazed by the heat of this level while being placed in hard labor. He also saw Luffy and Magellan's battle while in his cell.

Magellan the warden of Impel Down stays here. His office contains a lift, which can take several people to all the Levels throughout the fortress, bypassing the stairs. This is also where the kitchen of the prison is located next to Magellan's office. Luffy's battle with Magellan was fought here prior to him being completely poisoned and captured.

Level 5: Freezing Hell (極寒地獄, Gokkan Jigoku?) is the fifth level of Impel Down in which prisoners are kept in. This is the level where criminals with bounties of 100,000,000 and over are kept. In stark contrast to the level above it, the entire level here is a giant freezer. The level is so cold that not only do the prisoners kept here either freeze to death or lose pieces of their flesh from severe frostbite, but the food given to them is frozen to the level of being virtually inedible. Due to the extreme cold, Den Den Mushi don't function in this Level, thus cutting off both contact and surveillance, except on the locations localized around the entrances that connects Level 5 to the previous and next levels. Along with the severe cold, the level is inhabited by wolves. These wolves roam around the level like the beasts of Level 2, where they were originally stationed at. However, they proved to be too brutal to be in Level 2 as they also hunted the other beasts as well, including the Basilisk and the Sphinx.

Along with the bitter cold of the level, there seems to be a occurrence of prisoners mysteriously disappearing as well. Prisoners who are incapable of moving by themselves have been disappearing without a trace. Because of this, the Impel Down staff and the prisoners call this phenomenon, the "demoning away". The superstition is that the missing prisoners have been actually pulled away by demons to the Gates of Hell itself. The belief of this superstition has been carefully kept within level 5 so that no inmates from the upper levels were aware about it prior Bon Kurei (disguised as Hannyabal), Buggy, and Mr. 3 descending down to it where they were informed by the guards. Among these missing prisoners is Emporio Ivankov, the queen of the okama. He was imprisoned here until he mysteriously disappeared from his cell. Since then he was rumored to be living in an abandoned guard's office deep within a forest situated in the level.

Luffy was transferred into the central tower of this floor after his loss against Magellan, until released by Bon, hoping to find a cure.

Level 6: Eternal Hell (無限地獄, Mugen Jigoku?) is the lowest level of Impel Down. It is where prisoners who are insanely powerful, have caused crimes extremely atrocious, or whose mere existences have become a major threat to the World Government itself are kept. The prisoners on this level have been given either the death penalty or a life sentence. They are basically "erased" from history.

Ace was kept here on death row, awaiting his execution. Because most people dismiss Level 6 as just a rumor (until its actual discovery) Ace was believed to be on Level 5 by other prisoners. Jinbei was also placed on this floor, and was being kept in the same cell as Ace. Though the prisoners on this floor are either jailed for the rest of their lives or until their execution day arrives, Jinbei was only given a temporary sentence for refusing to fight against Whitebeard. Crocodile is also being kept here in a cell next to theirs. Near them are various other legendary pirates who hold deep grudges against Whitebeard, some of which are several imprisoned Giants.

Kept alongside the prisoners is the former Chief Guard Shiryuu. Because he constantly massacred prisoners, he was deemed to be a menace even within Impel Down, and became too dangerous to be kept anywhere else in the prison. For abusing his powers, he was sentenced to Level 6.

Prison Wardens; While there are canon guards, someone from somewhere else has brought you here. They are the one that releases prisoners at night; they are also the one that will send mysterious feeds over the network. Whoever it is, it will be obvious that helping the prisoners is not what they're after. This is all a game to them.

Each night, there will be messages on the feed when the prisoners escape. Sometimes, there will be clues to getting some freedom or even finding old trinkets of your character's old life. Follow them and you may find treasure. Or death. It depends on the mood of this mysterious individual.

Staff:
Impel Down Staff

High Ranking Staff

* Magellan: Chief Warden (監獄署長, Kangoku Shochō?), resides in Level 4, possesses the Doku Doku no Mi, only serves about four hours of service.
* Shiryuu: Former Head Jailer (看守長, Kanshu Chō?), Magellan's equal, abuse of privilege, stripped of status and sentenced to death row in Level 6, sentence postponed and released for assistance, betrayed the prison and defected towards the Blackbeard Pirates.
* Hannyabal: Vice Warden (副署長, Fuku Shochō?), ambitious person, Magellan's chosen successor.
* Saldeath: Chief Guard (牢番長, Rōban Chō?), commander of the Blue Gorillas.
* Sadi-chan: Chief Guard (獄卒長, Gokusotsu Chō?), sadistic torturer, commander of the Four Demon Guards.
* Domino: Vice Chief Guard (副看守長, Fuku Kanshu Chō?).

Guards

* Human guards: Either stationed in the monitor room or various other places. They vary in duties.
o Bazooka Unit: A group of thousand troops holding large, bullet bazookas.
* Blue Gorillas: Super strong and mindless gorillas with doubleheaded axes, under the command of Saldeath. Mainly reside in Level 1, but can be called to other levels.
* The Four Demon Guards: Four fearsome guardians of Impel Down, under the command of Sadi-chan. They are all "awakened" Zoan-class Devil Fruit users.
o Minotauros: A bipedal bull who beats up prisoners often.
o Minorhinoceros: A bashful bipedal rhinoceros.
o Minokoala: A bipedal that is also an armed fighter.
o Minozebra: A shy bipedal zebra who pushes prisoners into the lake of blood

Other Beasts

* Basilisk: Giant snake born from a chicken that shares traits of both creatures.
* Manticores: Man-eating, human-faced lions that can eat their preys completely. Has the ability to talk but not understand what they are saying.
* Puzzle Scorpions: Extremely poisonous creatures that can unite to form giant centipedes.
* Sphinx: Boss of the level, extremely strong and guards the stairs. Also has the ability to talk but likewise with the manticores has no understanding of what what it is saying.
* Hummingbirds: Wild beasts also found in Level 2. Only one has been shown.
* Wolf Unit: Extremely vicious wolves that prey on even other beasts, relocated to Level 5.
* Giant-Mouth Hippo: (Anime only) Deceptively diminuitive hippos who are capable of running very fast (but can't turn well) and stretching their mouths to swallow larger prey (i.e. prisoners) whole.
* Giant Praying Mantis: (Anime only) A humanoid species of praying mantis skilled in fighting that uses its sword arms to try to slice intruders to pieces. Wears a uniform similar to that of an Impel Down guard.
The Universities Act was designed to enhance efficiency at the expense of autonomy. Curzon argued that colleges needed to be restructured and his proposal was to improve administration and reduce the members of the elite elected by the faculties. This angered the educated Bengalis because they knew that their training from the University of Calcutta was vital in their successes; they desired that the curriculum be expanded to produce more educated Indian natives. Thus, when the act brought the less educated in to replace the Bengalis, protests rose up to counter it. It was this very act that completely split the educated and the administrators.

Partition of Bengal:

Curzon was elected to another five-year term after being in the Europe during summer. He returned, vowing to destroy the Congress and the middle class elite who had challenged him. Enacting his revenge, Curzon stated that Bengal was too large an administrative unit and it would have to be split into two parts. The reaction was simple: people rose up in the masses, gathered in meetings and protested the action. But in 1905, Curzon went along with his actions. But the result would end with Bengal being ablaze with political activity and the Swadeshi movement began.

Swadeshi was a term used to describe the policy of purchasing only those goods produced in India by Indians. The boycotting of foreign goods and picketing their shops was a way of retaliating back at the British crown. But despite the protests and despite the sufferings of European businessmen, Curzon continued with his actions. But in 1912, the Raj rescinded Curzon's actions in favor of a new partition that was based on ethnic divisions rather than administrative efficiency.

Many British officials found themselves at a loss when these demonstrations turned violent. With the growing support coming out of the Russo-Japanese world, the globe was looking at a turn in the idea that Asians were inferior to Europeans. Because of this, violence became a more sought-out alternative to dealing with foreign administrations. Aurobindo Ghose, a revolutionary, demanded that the educated youth take up the cause and he supported mastering violent tactics as that India could be free of European domination.

Indian National Congress Split:

In 1905. Curzon resigned, but this no longer mattered to the people. What the people were angry about was the fact that the collective masses couldn't get Curzon to rescind immediately. Thus, internal fighting broke out. Congress extremists blamed the Moderates for the failure and they accused them of being too cowardice. They even accused the Moderates of helping prop up the system that had drained India of all its wealth and energy.

For the moderates, violence was not the answer, it was foolishness. They believed that breaking the law would cause widespread chaos and that working with constitutional agitation would be the best. They also pointed out that the new viceroy had the support of a leading liberal named John Morley and he was placed in charge of the India Office in 1906.

In order to gain more support, the Moderates began to appeal to the ideas of Swadeshi and Swaraj. Both illustrated Indian's independence. But no matter what, the confrontation between the two sides was inevitable and it was sparked at Congress's meeting at Surat in 1907. The Extremists were told to adhere to a testament of loyalty and constitutional agitation or face being expelled. They chose the latter and the Moderates had control for the next twelve years. Aurobindo and Tilak were easily removed from the ranks then; Aurobindo was accused of complicity in a terrorist bombing incident in 1906 and while he was found innocent in court, he retired from the political scene in favor of a religious life. Tilak found himself charged with encouraging sedition in 1908 and he was sentenced to exile in Mandalay, Burma. Thus, the Extremists had no leadership and they disappeared for a while.

Communalism and the Founding of the Muslim League:

While the Congress had been overwhelmingly constructed of Hindu believers, many Muslim believers found themselves at a loss, since the Congress was very centered on the well-being of those of the Hindu faith. Congress, to them, would never be a spokesperson for the Muslim faith and, so, in 1906 a number of leaders gathered to create a league that could vocalize their own concerns. Moderates of the Congress resented this and they accused the Muslims of playing into the hands of the British. The Congress wanted only one spokesperson for India and that was them and them alone. But the new viceroy, Lord Minto, did not share the Congress's views - he believed that the Muslims too needed safeguards to protect them from the Hindu majority and he helped them by introducing safeguards in 1909.

Morley-Minto Reforms:

Under the reforms, the Moderates were granted a higher role in government policy making. An Imperial Legislative Council was established. Weighed and separate electorates were brought forth and they ensured that some seats would be set aside to be held only by Muslims; these seats gave them actual representation greater than their total population, setting up a similar stance on government as the British had back home. The Moderates argued, however, that India was not Britain and they argued that this was just another attempt by the Raj to divide and rule. But after some dilberation, the Moderates accepted the reforms. Eventually, even the Muslims wanted the reforms to work, as they were losing British support due to waging Balkan Wars in the Middle East.

World War I:

Oddly enough, the war was an important turning point in South Asian politics. The Mderates began supporting the British and Congress leaders even helped to sell war bonds in South Asia and encouraged men to enlist under the British Empire. India's industry supported the war and many Indians expected that their aid would be rewarded at the end of the war. Even Tilak followed a conciliatory policy; six years being imprison changed him, both health wise and on his political standpoint.

These good relations also affected the Hindu-Muslim relations. The entrance of Muslim Turks on the side of Germany helped to strengthen these bonds.

The Lucknow Conference helped to organize and fix the issues that Congress and the Muslims had, as they both had high hopes for the end of the war. But the British slowly retreated on these vague promises and because they were not up to Indian standards, protests soon returned to the main stage.

Dyarchy and Gandhi:

The reforms brought in by Viceroy Chelmsford and Edwin Montagu crushed the Moderates as a force in Indian life. The reforms were too little and too late for many native Indians and many people fell into Sinha's idea that they had to agitate and inform the British of the rights of Indian people and why they should grant them.

The argument was over how to get these rights, not what they wanted. Constitutionalists like Sinha wanted to make the British know of Indian rights; others thought that time was over and now was the time for action. In the reforms, the principle dubbed dynarchy was established; this meant that Indians could help administer and could legislate, but they still could not have authority over crucial governmental departments such as police, revenue and finance. This perpetuated Indians as second class citizens in their own country.

Rowlatt Acts and the Mahatma:

This act changed everything; this act gave officials the ability to detain. Anyone considered a threat could be imprisoned without being charged. These acts now made any British proposals threatening and untrustworthy. Gandhi termed these acts as, "unjust, subversive of the principle of liberty, and destructive of the elementary rights of the individual." In 1915, he returned to India and his admiration from Europeans and Indians alike followed. However, he was drawn back to politics because of the Lucknow Conference and he appeared in Champaran, where he was threatened to be imprisoned and when he did not bow down, the administration did not know what to do. So, they forced the planters to accept new laws and rules that favored peasants. These planters viewed the actions as cowardice, but one success had been made - bureaucrats were now afraid of what Gandhi could do. He became the Mahatma or great soul and he began to hold audiences in order to hear the grievances of the oppressed.

Hell, it's human nature, but I am still sorry.

I hope old RPers with me can forgive some of my stupid mistakes and I hope I can come back to the RP world with a fresh slate.

Sincerely and with love,
Tony
