Overview.

Viktor is a side character for my story. A broker, he's kind of, no actually, very shady. All of my characters come from the same story set in 2006.

ABOUT.

Viktor is sleazy and cunning. However, this part of him is not too regularly seen as he often acts the part of being a friendly and unassuming guy. He also tends to act kind of dumb or dense while he's pretending. This front being used to deceive people into trusting him, and as a way to appear more average. Although he's able to fool most, his 'kindness' appears to be very disingenuous to those who can see through it, almost feeling icky. Nearly everything about Viktor is covered in lies, and he takes pride in this. He does have a pretty laid back attitude, acting or not.

Outside of this personality he puts up, Viktor tends to be very cruel and disregarding of other people. He's got a jerk/bully attitude, where he only likes to mess with and hurt people because he wants to have fun. He enjoys pulling pranks and teasing others, mostly in really mean-spirited ways. He is a ragebaiter at heart and does get rather upset when people don't fall for his antics. Viktor has a lot of sociopathic and narcissistic tendencies. It's sometimes even kind of difficult for him to keep up his nice guy act since he just wants to mess with people. He can be very threatening when others stand in his way. Apart from that, Viktor is really intelligent and he's always got some complicated thoughts going on in his head, otherwise he gets bored.

Story.

I. CHARACTER STORY.

Viktor often presents himself as a business owner, but it isn't as straightforward as others may think. Yeah he runs a business but it's not something like selling knits on Etsy, it's fraud and money laundering. He doesn't involve those who work at these jobs with his actual work, most of the time they have no idea of what he really does, but he does see them as assets.

II. EARLY LIFE.

Viktor grew up living in Las Vegas under pretty poor conditions so he got his start as a teenager being a con-artist. He also committed computer and internet fraud and forgery, being pretty good at technology for the time. Viktor's own confidence made many of his tricks work, as it would be easier to influence people. He often acted more knowledgeable or even wealthier than he was, he even sometimes impersonated other people. He really only did this for money but found a lot of enjoyment in fooling wealthy tourists because of how easy it was. Being close to various casinos, he often cheated and bilked them many times as well. He would also end up playing and gambling with various wealthy visitors, which he would cheat at too of course. Viktor would always get away with this type of thing, except for that one time he didn't and it ended up with him losing his eye. It was this accident that ended up helping him become what he is today. Turns out these guys did the exact same things Viktor did, albeit in a more organized way. Yeah they were pretty pissed off that some random teenager managed to outsmart them, but they decided to come back to that same casino in order to find him again. Viktor knew they were looking for him, so he managed to hide. They did manage to get to him but what he didn't know was that they didn't want to harm him, they wanted to recruit him. Viktor decided to accept their offer, and he was glad he did. It was a rocky start, they did end up paying for his eye surgery lol, but it ended up being very beneficial for Viktor in the end. He had always been very talented at this sort of thing but never had much direction. Now surrounded by a group of people who specialized in the same work as him, his talents really got to shine and help him even further. It was with this group of people that he managed to start his own business.

DESIGN NOTES.

Viktor's design was primarily inspired by the blue-ringed octopus. He kinda started off as a gijinka tbf.
The pattern on the right and inside of his jacket are inspired by blue-ringed octopus imagery.
The pattern on his jacket's lapels are symbols that represent his business and brand.
There wasn't really a reason for his injured eye at first, I just thought it looked cool and stuff.
He personally enjoys wearing suits since he believes they make him feel more important.
He rarely takes his gloves off since he's pretty careful about leaving fingerprints.
He prefers not to wear an eyepatch over his injured eye since it feels uncomfortable for him.

He enjoys documenting his day-to-day work with the goal to plan new strategies and experiences. He did wish to become a musician when he was younger but that dream is basically dead.

FEARS He has a fear of surprises. As someone who is always thinking ahead, he doesn't like when things don't go as planned.

SECRETS I guess his actual business is a secret and he works hard to keep its contents hidden. His true personality can also be considered a secret since most ordinary people only get to see him when he's acting nice. He does tend to keep his early family life pretty hidden as well

Although octopus are not typically predators, Viktor's personality was inspired by the predator & prey dynamic due to his animal inspirations.
He enjoys seafood in his own weird way, he likes the taste but also likes how 'alive' they feel.
Bro is the type to argue that crabs and other sea creatures don't actually feel pain.
He was vaguely inspired by Frank Abagnale.
He primarily runs a lot of clubs. They're all pretty stock standard clubs so as to not bring much attention.
Despite this, he tends to hate most of the people who go to his clubs since they tend to be drunk or unpleasant. Surprisingly, he hates the drunk people who harass his workers and takes measures to deal with them personally.
He would be the type to run one of those channels that would put people in life-threatening situations and say 'it's just a prank bro'.
He's a momma's boy.
His personality used to be kinda just a chill guy but he felt a bit too similar to other characters so I decided to basically make him borderline insane.
His fav Sanrio character, because I assign all my characters one (I'm whimsical and joyous), is Hangyodon.
More whimsy, bc I'm a filthy smash player, his mains are King Dedede and Falco. Knows that one King DDD tech. Likes being toxic in online games. Purposely sets his preferred rules to 2v2 with items, and stamina mode if he feels extra evil. T-bags so often. Doesn't play seriously and plays to be annoying, will drag matches until the other player gives up.
My new obssesion is Marvel Rivals so his main is Iron Fist. Yet another instalock dps main that refuses to switch. Lives to harass supports, and tanks are not safe from him either. Will throw games if he doesn't fw his team, or just because he feels like it. Makes smurf accounts to dunk on lower ranks.

Relationships.

Viktor is Bella's boss for her side job. She was introduced to him and the job position through one of her clients, this position being similar to a hostess club. Seeing Bella's initial less favorable response to the job, Viktor tries his best to make her feel comfortable while she's working. The two have a good relationship and have gotten closer outside of work related stuff. He does often pay her extra than the usual, doing so since he's aware of her difficult situation. He does this in secret, as to not cause any type of arguments or drama within other of his employees.
