Managed to finish the race in approx. 35 minutes. Was a bit too excited to take a more accurate time from the race clock but I'm happy with that, considering I only started running 11 weeks ago.

10k here I come!

Well I'm doing Race For Life 5k tomorrow here in Barny, I'm dead excited! We're going to OH's parents after and I'm going to make a baked cheesecake for the special occasion! lol

I've got new running capris too, and a pink top to wear, now I've just got to pack my donation bag and I'm ready to roll!

Weeks been sort of crap so this should improve my mood a bit, as long as I don't fall flat on my face or come in last!

Another Day in Life

Tired today again. Could not get myself to out for a run after coming back from volunteering. I'm going to have to wait for British Gas tomorrow probably until 1pm or 2 pm, as they are notorious for being late or no-shows, and go for a run after that. Another early start for me it is.

Trying to find some music to listen to (to waste some time) on my pc and found a selection of 80's tunes. Loving Tears for Fears atm.

Extremely tired today. I want to do things but can't get started on anything. I've even had a skinny latte today to try and kick some energy into me, didn't work however. Got up early yesterday and again today (well, tried to), and it's caught up with me. I don't do early.

I've got plenty to do. The washing up needs doing, there's some washing that could be run through the machine, need to stick a bin liner in the bin and litter to pick up and de-clutter generally. I can't be bothered.

I think I might get told off later on, that's how bad I am today. Not even been for my run, I just can't get my ass moving.

Lost all creativity. What now?

Well, I'm still unemployed. 6 months later. I've lost all will to do anything about it and I'm getting too comfortable sitting on my fat arse doing nothing.

Saying that, my fat arse is getting some exercise from having picked up running. I run 3 times a week now and am hooked. Only drug/feel-good/euphoria I experience in my life. I'd like to buy some new gear but can't justify spending the money as I'm not earning anything.

I did have a 1 day temp job yesterday. Wooptedoo. No more than that going on, it was a panic job as they realised they weren't going to finish the project in time in case they didn't get some more hands to help.

Basically how can you believe in yourself if no one else does, and how can anyone believe in you if you don't believe in yourself? It's an odd vicious cycle, I can't quite explain it. I can't afford to do a masters at the moment. I live in the country side too so short courses are limited and obviously don't start until the new school term starts in September.

Fuck it all, I'm sick of feeling like shit and useless. There. I needed to say it.

Tried to get into doing something about my dead websites. I opened photoshop and rage-X'd everything after I couldn't do anything in 10 minutes. I've lost the faith in my own creativity too. There, it's in writing. Anything else I can whinge about???

Hello folks.

I have missed a lot of action, sadly not because of RL action, but because my laptop is slowly dying a painful death. I am awaiting funds for a new spiffy little beast. Not little, or even a laptop. I'm hoping to be able to afford a nice desktop pc with a shiny dual core processor and newer graphics card. It's so funny really, I've been looking at these "mid-range" PCs, which cost around £1,000. WTF!?!? Seriously, who the hell can afford that? On a student budget? These are obviously gaming specs for sad bastards who get their parents to buy it for them. Or self-sustainable professionals that are too tightfisted to get a "top-range" one.

I wish I could be one of the latter group.

I thought I would put a bit more energy into my websites now that summer term is over. I've got a pile of books to read over summer as research for my dissertation, which is due for Christmas this year. But I can only handle so much of post-modernist ideas entangled with semiology, and auteur theory in contemporary film practice (my main case study). In fact, I keep renewing books from the library, not because they are that good, but because I can't be arsed to read them within the loan period. Oh well, I get to keep anything borrowed over the summer till late September so that is good...ANYHOW, my original point being, ashke.nu is due for renewal soon and it made me realise I need to used the services I pay for, so I'm definitely going to work something out on that end.

I am gutted, but my laptop refuses to play my computer games anymore. My fav game guildwars lags too much from my graphics chip heating up too much. It used to be fine, but it is giving in! I haven't played properly in weeks, apart from a lone occasion when my chap let me play for an hour to finish factions. I nearly cried from the amazing performance, no lag whatsoever, and I was suddenly a massively better player. Ahem. Yes. Enough of that. But this has limited what I can do during my days. I wake up, late, have breakfast, enjoying being bored for about 5 minutes before it gets annoying, play my ds, think about my next meal, think about how much I've been eating, go for a run (only started this week, I'm just trying to make myself sound fitter than I am), come home, cook, eat, watch big brother, bored again. Actually, I cannot recall doing anything over the past few days really, apart from reading forum entries about weight loss and what food is best in health terms. Reminds me I haven't drunk enough water today...

This is mildly entertaining, reading about recipes, calories, and how to adapt your favourite foods into a healthy lifestyle. Apart from the fact that it makes me think up stupid ideas such as cooking up a moussaka, that now will have to be frozen for future lunches, as it was clearly too exotic for my englishman's pallet. Shame really, a quarter of an aubergine went to waste, but it's my fault. I was the brave one making it, as I knew I was the only one who liked it in the first place.

This entry has been a rather chaotic one, being one to make up for a lot of time I haven't written anything at all. So any apologies to people that have made it this far.

I really do need to find things to amuse myself with. At least my mum is coming over for a week next Sunday, that will keep me on my toes for a few days.

I'm ba-ack! (X-posted)

Looking at my blog archives, I see that I’ve been writing something every month from June 2003 (and that’s as far as my archives go, I know I wrote before that, that was just the switch to movable type). Up until last January.

I feel completely out of date with everything, I’ve completley left most of my websites to their own fate, whilst doing what instead I don’t know. I find that all scripts I used to use are out of date and have “major security risks”, and I find it a dread to check my e-mail, just knowing the amount of spam and randomness I have to sort through.

The internet is not a fun place anymore.

I have to remember to update my fanlistings, and this time I actually let it slip a bit too long, as I didn’t update since August until today.

But I forget.

It’s so easy to forget chores, isn’t it? I find myself reading more things, than doing my own things. Participating in message boards is much cooler and entertaining than it was a couple of years ago, and I’ve found other things to occupy my mind with.

Sort of. I mean I’m still constantly bored out of my mind, and this has made my unbelievably lethargic regarding everything. I can’t be bothered to go to redundant tutorials one day a week - only lesson we have in a week regarding practical studies. And I find myself getting more and more alienated from the film making, and more invited towards the visual theory - which I btw chose a unit unrelated to my own course.

Passion and ambition is just not in me anymore. To be frank - I just can’t be arsed.

And that’s what happened with my websites. Now I’m simply revamping the whole site, because I found another purpose for it, and thought I might as well go through everything I’ve got on here, delete it, and revamp anything usable. And update the fanlistings which I so dearly hang onto.

I need to get more in touch with things, I’m getting embarrassingly bad at everything, just because I haven’t been practising. At the same time I find myself going to much simpler approaches to webdesign, rather than trying to impress with my fantabulous skills, which we all know I possess…

So what am I actually doing at the moment [in general]? Not a thing. Trying not to die out of boredom, and trying not to get too obsessed about losing the last of the “puppy fat” I’ve been trying to lose the last 6 years, which is pretty much what my life consist of (tracking what I eat and reading nutritional values on product labels). So maybe writing over-long posts like this will bring some life back into me. Or just cure the boredom for at least 10 minutes. Let’s hope so anyway.

I went today to London with one of my flat mates, and we accidentally walked past Great Scotland Yard, where they were shooting The Children of Men, a futuristic film about the extinction of humankind. Well, when we were approaching the area, we asked one of the crew if we were allowed to walk through, since a lot of police cars were there, and a lot of crew trucks as well. He said yeah, they're shooting a film with Clive Owen and Julianne Moore. I was like, "Wow, really?" Very clever, I know, but I've never stepped nearer than 100km to a movie set. I don't count Finnish film, cause they suck ass. I didn't dare ask any questions, like who the director is, but I checked on IMDB, and it's Alfonso Cuaron. O__O I'm so seriously star struck, and I didn't even see one!

First I didn't want to go, because I thought the crew and security guys looked seriously intimidating, but my flat mate insisted, so we went and saw about one take. Most of it was waiting, and I noticed that my flat mate started shifting around uncomfortably, and he asked if I had seen enough. Subtle hint, anyone? Well, so, we didn't see much, but what we saw was quite...hmmm...cool. I don't really know. First I thought it was a period piece, but then I saw cars, and I thought, no, can't be a period piece. Then someone else asked, and I overheard one of the crew telling it's a sort of futuristic film about human extinction etc etc.

Not much of a story, but I thought it was sort of cool. I was drooling over the camera equipment I saw - they were using really simple techniques, like strapping the camera to a car!!! Honestly, the cameras are much smaller than you'd think. Good to know, I haven't seen the 16mm cameras we're to use, yet.

Other than that, we went a bit of shopping around Piccadilly circus and Oxford street/circus. I bought two items from United Colors of Benetton, a long sleeved t-shirt, and a aqua/turquoise knitted sweater. It was nice.

I also went into a lot of stores, but didn't actually get anything since it's so expensive. But I went into HMV, and was so disappointed that all the DVDs I wanted they didn't have, or they were sky rocketing in price. So, I got a bit upset about that, but we went into Virgin Megastore, and I actually found so much that I spent £40 on DVD on sale! I got Swingers special 10 yr anniv. edition (finally! and £9.99 only instead of the £19.99 in Maidstone and £14.99 in Virgin in London), Old School (yeah yeah, I know...), Lethal Weapon I, Sin City, and Mallrats. I didn't find Requiem For A Dream in either, or I rather found their empty spot in the racks. I had sort of hoped on seeing it again.

Well, that's it I guess. My shopping spree in London didn't go so crazy, much, as I had thought. Might think of something else later.

I just saw the film "A History of Violence" by David Cronenberg with Viggo Mortensen, Ed Harris et al. Before this week I hadn't really registered the director, but now that I'm checking his profile over at IMDB, I do realise I have seen some of his films, inclduing eXistenZ and Spider, of which I liked neither very much. I've been hammered with names the last week so I'm really messed and confused, but I've tried to memorize some of the names of the directors we've been seeing in class. Well, we didn't see Cornenberg in class, but he was talked about briefly when another student mentioned him.

Regarding the film "A History of Violence", I thought it at times intolerably awkward. It's those kind of scenes when the whole theater is dead quiet, and you sip your soda and it echos throughout the theater, you know? The story itself was good, the acting was good, and the general development of the film was great. But there was something irksome about it that makes me unable to say it was one of the best things I've seen. For one thing, it went down hill when Tom (Mortensen) left for Philadelphia. You sort of expected it to happen, but when it did and you saw the outcome you're disappointed. I guess one of the things I didn't like about the film was that it was very predictable. I was thinking when he got to Philadelphia and delt with the things at hand, where can this go from here? I was so right - it didn't go anywhere! I know the ending was quite thought provoking, but I personally expected something more. Not to say that I wanted the movie to continue, the resolving of the issue just was so abrupt and, I must say it again, awkward. It was just clumsy. When the end credits started rolling you were just kind of awed, and thinking, is this really IT?

If you don't look at the fact that the last 20 or 30 minutes took the film to it's doom (in my humble opinion), the story had a great potential, but I guess Cronenberg faced the same dilemma I did - where do you take it and keep it realistic and probable? I liked it - just not that much. I should probably see it a second time to fix my opinion, because it could change it, but right now I'm a bit annoyed really.

Cool effects of flying flesh, though.

Oddly enough (or not) I get asked a lot what my favorite movie is. Usually this question comes after I say I'm in the Video Media Arts course. I mean, what's up with the question?!? I've ended up a lot saying I like David Fincher's films, in reference to Fight Club and Seven. But I don't know what my ultimate favorite is of all films I've ever seen. Man, you can't possibly know! I like a lot of things!

So a small poll if you may, to torture the rest of you:

What's your favorite film?

Production notes: A Journey

I'm opening a post for production notes of our first project titled

"A Journey"

Course: Time and Space
Credits: 15
Project partner: Phil
Deadline: Monday October 31st 2005, 3.00PM
Crit Day: Tuesday November 1st 2005

Project shall consist of:

a three minute (max) video piece

a complete and well refined storyboard

a production plan and diary, including any other paperwork generated (e.g. production notes, shooting scripts, schedules, logging sheets etc.)

a video sleeve and jpeg files for the School website

List of things to do:
Pre-production

<s>Develop idea</s>

<s>Refine idea</s>

<s>Write synopsis</s>

<s>Shooting schedule</s>

<s>Recruit helpers</s>

<s>Storyboard</s> <s>re-draw it!</s>

<s>Write script (for voice over)</s>

Production and post-production

<s>Shoot film</s>

<s>Log tape</s> - didn't need to

<s>Edit</s>

<s>Design sleeve</s>

<s>Hand in</s>

<s>Face constr. criticism on crit day</s>

October 19th, 2005: This first project is a bit weird, because we don't seem to be doing much. *shrug* I feel a bit guilty, but I'm not alone, so I'm not entirely the only one to blame. Phil makes a lot of last minute cancellations, but at least we have the thing filmed in case everything else goes wrong. I don't mean anything bad by saying that, I like Phil, he's fun.

October 28th, 2005: We are actually done! I only have the written part undone. Phil agreed to do the sleeve for the video. So now I only have to battle with the production diary, and we're officially done! I'm so happy. I'm actually semi happy with how the film turned out. Oh well, we'll see what the tutors think on Tuesday.

October 31st, 2005: Everything is done. Hand in at 2PM, just in case that we won't miss the deadline and fail. Am meeting Phil for a last check up at 1PM. Must remember to rewind the tape to the right place.

November 10th, 2005: I got the mark back today, and I got a 58% (a 2.2). I'm happy enough, but of course I'd have wanted a better mark. I understand the reasoning behind it, though, so I'm not very upset.

Because I've been up this late editing my photos, I'd thought I'd at least post some for those who are interested to see what my flat looks like. I apologize for the somewhat messiness - I'm still moving in, sort of! And I happened to take my photos on laundry-day...Ugly curtains are on behalf of the halls - not my doing!

I love my new digital camera. It has excellent macro abilities. The photos aren't superb in composition, but I blame the tininess of the room. That's why the perspective might look off in some of the pictures.

<img src="https://imgprx.livejournal.net/b99e75a972d915a9c8cdef31bb8d0ff03be805a2686643d98bd199048a3f4c0b/P2WlxyVijxKvg21n8shTWEMdsf-ah7h0yFmVCblSg9Xd9hzGlM3rBk8yT0R2Dl4-t05XiTDNLBZWGEAclBsosBdf2yeed-2O_1dv9S4xe1zmA-Tbqw:M9EnVnnl9oXl-7D-e3ljkQ"
With join efforts, we got the wireless working. Whew. Two words - not easy! It took me forever to realize how to add the encryption to the wireless, but I finally figured it out. We don't want to be paying for outsiders being able to surf on our broadband! Considering we even have the usage restriction...

I've felt really productive today. I've washed three machines of laundry, and it now smells really nice and fresh in my room. I've also tidied up a bit - I got a really snide remark from Lukas yesterday when I was trying to find installation instruction through a pile of stuff.

I do feel slightly weird, as I'm the only female in the whole flat. I don't mind (hell, who would mind living with 5 guys?), but it seems odd that they'd place us like this. Last year at Karjaa it was really strict. I think it's brilliant. *g*

I should start shopping some DVDs. I wasn't able to take along very much, so I only have a few essential movies with me like LOTR, HP, Fight Club, and the Tarantino Box Set, Pride & Prejudice, Sense & Sensibility, Interview with a Vampire, Pirates of the Caribbean, Constantine (it's alright), DODGEBALL (I know, I'm a freak), Emma, Blade Trinity, and National Treasure. I've already bought two DVDs while here, Starsky & Hutch for £7, I think, and Zoolander for £3.99. I love Frat Pack movies (except Envy with Ben Stiller and Jack Black - BAD!!!!).

Speaking of DVDs, I borrowed Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life from Krish, flat mate, and man - it was remarkably bad. Horrible plot, not so great acting, and simply bad. No, I did not like it. I didn't even bother watching the extras - deleted scenes can only be worse than those that weren't deleted, and THOSE were bad already.

I should stop writing random post. They just make no sense.

Ciao everyone, I finally have an internet connection, and let me tell you; IT WAS NOT AN EASY FEAT! There was no phone line in my flat, so I had to get it installed. £70 - just for the installation!!!! There's also a usage (bandwidth) restriction on the broadband connection. I've never heard of anything like it before!!! I love my cable modem back in Finland more than I thought I did.

So, the good news is the course seems great. Kent is looking mighty marvelous, Maidstone is an old town with much more to do and look at than I had imagined. Bad news are that I'm a superb hermit, a real loser over in loser-town (ie my room). Ok, not really, but I do feel a bit - what's the word, oh yeah - foreign! More bad news is that I got sick. Right in the beginning of the term! Am I just not so very lucky? You have to get registered for a doctor before they will see you. So yesterday I went to the advice office and asked what I should do. There was only one doctor who would register me, apparently, and it's a 15 minute drive away - not by walking distance. Well, I called and got an appointment for today, but being scared as hell of the buses, not knowing where they go, I had to take a taxi. But it cost less than I thought it would, £5.10, I think. So, the doctor's appointment went okay - he asked a bunch of questions, checked my weight and height, blood pressure etc. Then he prescribed antibiotics for me only with the information I gave him about my ailment. Weird. I don't mind, but unheard of in Finland.

Going to the doctor didn't cost anything, oddly enough. I don't know what that is about, apparently the social network works better over here than I thought.

Now I'm trying to install a wireless network so that my flat mates can get online as well, but it's harder than I thought. I can't use the router I got directly as the modem, because the stupid broadband connection only recognizes the modem that came with it. I don't even think that you can put a mac on the same network as a windows PC. Grr. I'll just ask the guys if they know anything about these kinds of things. I'm sort of lost as I've never done this before. I hope to get it to work, because then I don't have to pay for the internet all on my own, we'll split the bill.

I'm sure I haven't remembered to tell everything worth telling, but it'll come to me later, I think.

PS. There's absolutely nothing on British TV. Absolutely. Nothing. I paid £126 for a tv license and there's nothing on!!!

I never knew that transferring files from one computer to another could be so tedious. I can't get a network connection between the two computers to work, so all I have is a tiny USB drive to help me in the process. And I have a lot of images, and now Photoshop has frozen on me as well, and I have to try to make 50 thousand BMP images make it onto the USB drive - AS IF! The batch-function simply stopped working, and I can't be bothered anymore. And here I thought I'd actually get some sleep tonight! And what time si it now? 6-fucking-AM!

That's just the beginning of how upset I am. I've lost the installation CD for my iPod software, and I have to install the software onto my laptop. Without a CD? Great! The Photoshop installation needs to be repaired since it doesn't show up on my user account, and none of my Macromedia-programs are on this computer, except Freehand 10. kjhdrlgklksdmcöjoihjksdnvrfkjnoi!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still have to pack! Well, most of it anyway. And I'm leaving in less than 24 hours.

That is how upset I am. I knew this would happen! Why am I such a procrastinator? Why?

It's a miracle if I get everything done by tomorrow morning at 6.15. That's when the taxi comes to get us to the airport. Oh joy.

Upsetting!

I bought a digital camera today.

Oddly enough, this will turn into a funny story.

When I got home, and opened the box, there was no camera in it. I tell Pal, "You know what? I'm actually almost amused."

Now the big feat will be convincing the idiot cashier I am not bullshitting when I tell him that he gave me a camera box without a camera in it. I've got it all worked out though - my wit will overthrow him and he will gladly hand me a box with a camera in it this time. Actually, he will insist on it. I'm just saying, the box was heavy - how could I have known it didn't hold the camera, but a thousand page manual instead?

If you're interested, I got a Canon EOS 350D. It was only 999,00 euros, which is cheap for a system digi camera with 8.0 mega-pixels. It's not pro stuff, but in my price range. Or nearer my price range than the Hasselblad medium format digital camera I'd actually like. But as I'm not going to study photography, 8.0 MP is enough. Now I'm saving for my DigiBETA cam, which I'm drooling to have - REAL pro stuff. I'd settle with a Sony HDR-FX1, a high definition DV camera. I won't get anything less, though. I want to be able to do something with it, and not just the regular home video with a shaky and over-exposed image, all filmed on full auto. It's expensive, though, so it'll have to wait till I get some saved.

I'm better now. I still blame sleep deprivation. And just because I feel better, I'll put my previous post under a cut so other people won't be infected by my folly. Unless they're into that sort of thing.

I still don't think it especially funny, but the tantrum I threw is so typical of me under the circumstances of either 1) low blood-sugar, or 2) sleep deprivation. To overblow a thing like that - whew. I'm glad most people don't have to see me during that time. I pity my family.

I'm still writing the story, though, because I come up with the best ideas when I'm ready to explode. People really should egg me on more to increase my creative strike.

I'm going to write this just because I am pissed to the point of bursting. I guess I could blame it on sleep deprivation, again, but I don't care. This is not going to be pretty, so I warn easily offended people not to proceed. It's not going to make a whole lot of sense, but I'll get it off of my chest. Some major swearing is thus to be expected.

Never believe what you see on TV. Or rather, don't trust any idea you get from watching TV. I can't put it in any other way. I'm trying to laugh it off, but I really don't know what to think.

If it was meant to be a joke, and I have a reason to believe it was, I didn't get it and didn't find it funny. Why they put it in there is a fucking mystery. Disrespectful to all parts, and really open for misunderstandings.

Yeah, you'll laugh at it later, ha, see me laughing already.

Why would anyone EVER leave that in? It. Does. Not. Make. Anyone. Look. Good. And. Makes. Zero. Sense. Why? WHY? It only left a bad taste in my mouth, and my entire day is fucking ruined because of it. Here I am, dreaming of one day stepping into that career-path, you-know-which. This is what I am to expect? I've trying to be open-minded and trying to expect a whole lot - but not this. People being total jack-asses. So openly. Am I fucking NAÏVE to think otherwise? No, don't answer that. What the hell am I expecting if not this? I AM fucking naïve to think people being overall polite.

I feel like writing this whole ordeal, no scratch that, it's not an ordeal, I-don't-know-what-it-is, into a fucking satire, and maybe someone someday will make a movie out of it, and change the crushed-dreams-ending to be happy instead to fit the needs of the fucking public. Yeah, whatever works.

And yes, that was meant to be a pun, although I am the only who'll ever get it. Why? Because this is all I'm going to say about what I just saw, or rather heard. I'm not gonna say what it is, because it doesn't deserve the attention, but as I said, I need to get this anger off of my chest. Purely selfish reasons.

So this is my virtual way of screaming at the top of my lungs, because I do feel that if I did it in RL, I might upset someone - my mum, Pal, or the neighbours. Not even speaking of our personal little zoo.

Yeah, I hope to some higher entity that this is all the relief I'll let my infuriation get. Because I might just as well hurt somebody if I'll let it get the best of me. I think I already offended mum by my cynical/sarcastic remarks.

Maybe after a good nights sleep I'll be laughing at this, I usually do, but GOD! WHAT. BULL. CRAP.

Thank you and good night.

I just finished capping Dodgeball, the entire movie at that. It's still uploading to my server...

I think my server just died.

Well, 1930 captures to be exact take up a lot of space. I got a little excited, and most of my evening went to deleting unnecessary, blurry, and "unflattering" caps. So, I went down from 2900 -ish to 1930. I'm proud.

I do love Dodgeball, it's the funniest comedy since Zoolander, and I like Dodgeball better.

White Goodman: At Globo Gym we understand that "ugliness" and "fatness" are genetic disorders, much like baldness or necrophilia, and it's only your fault if you don't hate yourself enough to do something about it.

...

Peter La Fleur: Don't worry so much about this Amber situation. It'll all work itself out in the end.
Justin: Thanks, Pete.
Peter La Fleur: You'll laugh at this one day. I'm laughing already.

...

White Goodman: What about when you slept with three of my female trainers?
Peter La Fleur: That was only one night.
White Goodman: What about the time you sent me a stripper for Globo-Gym's one year anniversary.
Peter La Fleur: The stripper was meant to be congratulatory.
White Goodman: Yes, but it was also a man!
Peter La Fleur: Let's not get hung up on details.

...

Peter La Fleur: You had me at blood and semen.

...

After patches hits Justin with a wrench.
Peter La Fleur: Yeah, uh, Patches... are you sure this is completely necessary?
Patches O'Houlihan: Necessary? Is it necessary for me to drink my own urine?
Peter La Fleur: Probably not.
Patches O'Houlihan: No, but I do it anyway because it's sterile and I like the taste.
Peter La Fleur: ...Okay.

...

After the girl-scouts beat the Average Joes.
Peter La Fleur: You were adopted. Your parents don't even love you.

...
Peter La Fleur: Hey, White. I didn't think that Nazi camp got out until eight. Did you decide to skip arts and crafts?
White Goodman: Yes, I did.

...

White Goodman: Allow me the pleasure of introducing you to Blade... Laser... Blazer...

...

Cotton McKnight: I'm being told that Average Joe's does not have enough players and will be forfeiting the championship match.
Pepper Brooks: It's a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off for 'em.

...

Cotton McKnight: In 23 years of broadcasting I thought I'd seen it all, folks. But it looks like Peter La Fleur has actually blindfolded himself.
Pepper Brooks: He will not be able to see very well, Cotton.

Wrong shipping address much?

I'm laughing just thinking about it.

If you have not seen this movie and appreciate a good comedy - see it!

I'm broke now. I got my hair done, cut and highlighted for 105€!!!, and I got the additional parking slot for our car (in a building instead of the back yard) which ate a deposit of 16,80 euros, and most of my money. I now have little less than 20€ left - I'm in tears! I'm supposed to get one last pay-check, but I have no idea when.

Well, I'm meeting dad for lunch tomorrow. I feel that I won't be needing to eat much, because I just ate a medium sized Pizza Hut pizza, all by myself. :(

I actually have a list of things to cry about:

broke

ate pizza

broke

My conclusion is, don't eat pizza. It's easier to NOT eat pizza than to eat SOME and try to stop there.

Well, I did go to the gym today, attended the BodyPump lesson. I will have to do that for the next 7 days straight to have compensated the calories from that bloody pizza. I am mortified with myself.

Well, the list of things to do has waned a bit, but not immensely so. I still have to send a form to England before actually going there, and fill in the enrollment form as well. I also have to start packing, which I'm not too happy about, and - I'm actually checking my list here - gah, call my boss. He won't be too happy about my procrastination.

See, the thing he wants fixing is, he wants the company website to be more easily found in google.com. Keywords are of course last century, and won't work in the same way, so I have to put the keywords into the text on the website for it to work - I don't know what else to do. I tried telling the guy like three months ago that "I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO, GOOGLE IS A WORLD OF ITS OWN". The guy won't take no for an answer. Because he just won't, or because he doesn't understand, I have no clue. Any ideas? I have no problem myself with google, because google finds all of my websites just fine. Google finds the company website as well, but not under the "right keywords", as my boss likes to put it. I guess I'll just have to re-write the text on the index to fit all the proper keywords he wants google to find. Gar.

On a side note, Pal read the first "short story" in 'Haunted' by Chuck Palahniuk (my personal god) to me yesterday. OMGWTF? I wanted to throw up by what I was hearing! NC-17 stuff, dude! The guy was...had...I mean...man, I cannot put it into words, but I was mortified! Eugh!
