Career in Financial Planning
Ken joined Values First Advisors in 2009 after working alongside the founding partners in a prior investment firm. He is passionate about helping clients align their investments with their values and approaches each relationship with care, insight, and a desire to see clients thrive both financially and personally.
Before entering the financial services industry, Ken earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and served as a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 20 years. His background in counseling—including work as an addiction counselor and as a psychology Professor in higher education for 18 years—gives him a unique perspective on financial decision-making.
He brings his wealth of knowledge about critical thinking, problem solving, explanation, relationship building, and listening to serve you.
Ken is presently pursuing the required courses for the CFP® certification to sit for the exam in late 2026.
Personal Life
Ken and his wife, Shannon, have been married since 2002, have three children, and are actively involved in their church and community. He serves as a youth minister at Horse Creek Church of God, State Youth Director for the Church of God, and his family plays a meaningful role in Christian summer camp ministries.
