Organizing with Segments
Use segments to categorize and filter your links
Segments in Linkkit give you a powerful yet simple way to organize, categorize, and quickly find your links using a flexible grouping system.
Unlike traditional folders that restrict a link to a single location, Segments allow you to group links dynamically. This means you can structure and filter your links intelligently — without clutter or rigid hierarchies.
Segments help you manage dozens — or even hundreds — of links with clarity and control.
What Are Segments?
Segments are customizable labels that help you group related links based on purpose, campaign, channel, time period, or internal structure.
For example, you might create segments for:
A specific marketing campaign
A marketing channel (Email, Social, PPC, etc.)
A time period (Q1 2026, Festive Sale, Launch Week)
A product category
A client project or content type
This structured grouping system keeps your dashboard clean and makes link management more efficient.
Instead of scrolling through long lists, you can filter by segments and instantly see only the links you need.
Why Use Segments?
Segments help you:
Stay organized as your link volume grows
Improve productivity with faster filtering
Track performance by campaign or category
Simplify collaboration across teams
Maintain a scalable workflow
Whether you're a marketer, agency, content creator, or growing business, Segments in Linkkit help you stay structured and efficient.

Best Practices for Using Segments Effectively
To keep your system organized and scalable:
Keep Naming Consistent : Choose a naming format and stick to it.
Example:
Use either SummerSale_2026 or Summer-Sale-2026 — Avoid mixing formats.
Keep Segment Names Clear and Concise: Short, meaningful names work best.
Avoid Duplicate Variations: Don’t create multiple versions of the same segment name.
Define a Team Strategy: If working with a team:
Agree on naming conventions
Standardize capitalization
Define campaign labelling rules
Review Segments Regularly: Clean up unused segments and merge similar ones to prevent clutter.
