I'm posting some stuff because Neela told me to. And I'm also not much of a socialite, so I'm looking to improve that by taking this time to blog on the interweb.

Not much has been going on lately, just came back from California only to return to the ~~epitome of~~ suburbia that I see right outside of my window right now.

I hope we have no school tomorrow. I don't hate it that much, but I go to a public school... 'nuff said!

Finals are coming up too, and I sadly have no motivation to study. Maybe it's because I'm still in denial that this semester is already over, or maybe I'm just a lazy bastard. :)

This post is really depressing, eh? I think it has just exceeded the awfulness of "Ben Kraft's Eyebrows". (to be honest, I don't think this blog is that awful, but I needed to transition into the awesome story I'm about to tell.)

So basically, there's this kid in our school, and his name is Ben Kraft. That's right, like Kraft Macaroni & Cheese. Call him want you want, but he's still a flipping genius that came from a private school, and he's is our valedictorian.

He's a pretty chillin' kid, but he's got some strange features going on. He's got these INSANE eyebrows; I'm not talking insane like they're hideous (even though some say they are), but insane as in - they're going to take over the world. They've got a mind of their own and whatever you do, don't get on their bad side because they can make you cry, scarring you on many different levels.

Today, me and Joie literally pointed and laughed at his eyebrows while we were waiting for our bus. It was pretty awesome because even though Ben was making direct eye contact with us, he still looked around him to see if we were laughing at someone else. We weren't, but we confused him, and that's all that matters... Good times man. Just say it. Good times... :p

That's not really so much of a story as an explanation, but I'm pretty proud of it as I'm re-reading my entire post now.

I think I'm just going to end this here, because I've put way too much energy into this post than I should have.

New userpic is an edited version of my eyes: I don't have blue eyes; I have brown eyes. And my eyes look like crap without makeup!

I decided to get into the more physical aspects of Photoshop recently, rather than coloring...
So, I spent about an hour and half making this.

*Disclaimer: This picture of Jennifer Hudson was beautiful before I edited it, but I wanted to experiment with my new talents and although they may be shallow and disgraceful talents, with them I have been able to expand my knowledge on Photoshop throughout this "experience"...

Description: Not too snazzy, not too hard, and you can consider this effect pretty popular and worn out, but I'm very proud of figuring out how to do it myself, without any help, so I thought I'd show it off. So this tutorial basically covers blue coloring for dark themed hues and the effect of radial blurs.

Facts: 7 steps, Selective Coloring, & is in Adobe Photoshop 7.0 or higher

Difficulty: Easy

So do you get the point?

Grenadiers, Harry Potter, & Icons

Okay, so I started band, and I found this really nice shot of our Grenadiers @ Disney World from 2 years ago, and I'd thought I'd edit it for good fun, so herr you go:

I'm in a jumpy mood, so I'm going to go straight to, yes you guessed it, HARRY POTTER. I'll have to say that the Deathly Hallows was definitely one of Jo's best writing out of all the books. The humour was not bad, her style was impeccable, and the balance of action and the other essential elements she usually includes was pretty good. However, the plot, I have to say, was a little bit of a let down. I thought the story line would be much more intricate and was REALLY going to shock, surprise, and knock my socks off. I mean it was good, but predictable, and the ending was just plain stupid. Harry and all his friends live, and of course, the bad guy dies... We all knew that Snape was good, and it wasn't much of a shocker when Harry went into his pensieve thoughts. There are still a couple of things that she hasn't fully explained throughout the series and completely left out in the last book. Well, that's that, and Harry Potter is over. The books can't really go on from this point, unless Voldemort was resurrected somehow, but she would need one hell of a novel to explain how that's possible now.

Okay, here are some completely random icons that I've made over the past month and have been dying to post, but I didn't have enough to make a whole entry devoted to icons and couldn't find a good occasion, so I used Harry Potter & my high school band. *sweat*:

First entry, WOOT

Yes, first entry, for you. Nothing to get excited over, just a random pic.

Well, this is one of my first times working with photoshop, and I'm not so familiar with all of its little what-cha-ma-call-its, so I'd consider my work eh, mediocre. This image is called "Umbrella", and I really couldn't compose a strong caption, so I just used some lousy lyrics (alliteration, that's funny, heh) from the song "You All Believe" by Danger Radio. I'm not really in a good mood today, and normally I'd introduce myself a little better, but I can assure you once get the gist of this site and get a better feeling of the community, I will elaborate on my interests and what not. So here's the image:
