Booking Index – Booking Form Field Filters

Operators can now filter bookings using predefined “Booking Form Fields” responses, directly from the Booking Index page. This update allows to quickly locate bookings based on structured form responses such as dropdown or checkbox selections (for example: events, meal preference, need assistance).

Previously, finding bookings with specific form responses often required opening bookings individually or exporting reports. With this update, operators can now:

  • Filter bookings using selected booking form field values
  • Quickly locate bookings based on customer selections made during booking
  • Reduce time spent manually searching through bookings
 

Improvements

  
  • Credit card detection accuracy: Refined credit card detection logic to reduce false positives, preventing non-credit card data (such as phone numbers or dates) from being incorrectly flagged.

  • Contact updates from Distribution bookings: Booking contact updates from distribution partners are now processed more reliably, ensuring customer information stays accurate when updates are received.

  • Improved API credential continuity: API credentials are no longer removed if the staff member who created them is archived. Credentials now remain active to prevent unexpected connection disruptions.

  • Resolved issue that caused a “Page Not Found” error during waiver completion, ensuring waivers can be completed without interruption.

  • Fixed an issue that skipped the first timeslot in monthly availability shared with distribution partners, ensuring accurate availability distribution.

  • Resolved issue that prevented certain guests from appearing on Schedule grid's session drawer when multiple waiver documents were linked, ensuring accurate guest visibility when managing bookings.

Schedule Grid

The Schedule Grid is now gradually rolling out to all accounts, bringing a faster and more visual way to manage sessions and daily operations.

With the Schedule Grid, operators can:

  • View timeslot-based products directly on a visual grid
  • See session cards for quick context at a glance
  • Open a session drawer to manage session details more efficiently
  • Customize the grid display and apply session-based filters
  • Assign staff members to sessions directly from Schedule Grid

  • Resolved an issue that prevented gift certificates from being generated when special characters were used, ensuring certificates are reliably issued after successful payment.
  • Fixed an issue where membership discounts were not reflected on the final invoice after booking completion, ensuring discounts persist correctly through checkout.
  • Resolved an issue where availability results were incorrectly restricted when guest types were not provided, to achieve accurate availability responses.

  • Resolved issue that caused booking widgets to show outdated cart errors, ensuring a stable and uninterrupted booking flow for customers.
  • Availability checks now behave correctly whether or not guest types are configured, preventing situations where availability was incorrectly hidden.

  • Fixed an issue where scheduled booking notifications were not being sent, ensuring customers receive confirmations and follow-up emails as expected.

  • Resolved an issue that resulted in incorrect pricing when availability schedules overlapped. Availability and pricing now accurately reflect the rules operators configure.
  • Corrected an issue that prevented saving assigned assets on the Daily Manifest page even when inventory was available.
  • Fixed PCI 500 Internal Server Error when booking notes contained numeric values with commas or plus signs.

Schedule Grid: Session Drawer enhancements for bookings in progress

The Schedule Grid now displays a note when sessions have active pre-bookings to improve visibility and clarity - e.g., “2 booking(s) in progress”. The note is clickable, linking directly to the filtered pre-bookings on the Booking Index page.

Availability and Closure Events filters in Product Builder

  • Added filters to view active, archived, or all events, helping operators focus on current and upcoming events.
  • All past events are displayed under “Archived” events.

Auto-adjustment of dates for closest availability

  • A new setting allows operators to choose whether the system automatically adjusts unavailable date ranges for products or simply marks them as “Unavailable.”
  • This setting gives greater control over how availability is displayed.


Strengthen PCI compliance and data security

  • The system now sends a consolidated daily email listing all bookings where credit card details were detected and masked — improving visibility compared to the previous flow, which sent only a single notification daily per first detection.
  • Redaction tool extended to customer profiles.

  • Resolved an issue preventing mobile app logins.
  • Fixed a critical issue preventing Adyen API transactions via the /transact endpoint.
  • Resolved an issue where Adyen refunds were not correctly being marked as “Complete.”
  • Fixed a bug preventing bookings spanning closed days from working correctly.

Automatically reuse and attribute waivers ↩️

Reduce repetitive work for returning guests.

  • Previously signed waivers would now be automatically apply to a guest’s future bookings within a set validity period.
  • This eliminates repetitive signing for returning customers and reduces operator overhead.

Redaction tool extended to booking fields🔒

  • Strengthen PCI compliance and data security

  • Resolved an issue where copying products with 2+ images caused missing/broken images in the copied product.

  • Fixed a critical issue where availability failed to save correctly and caused products to appear unavailable on the inventory calendar and booking pages.

  • Resolved and issue where Flextime product availability was not calculated as expected when “span closed days” is enabled

  • Resolved an issue that prevented users from selecting or entering validity dates when issuing a gift card.

Doubling up on work when you want to duplicate a booking is a thing of the past. Now, create a new booking from an existing one in a single click. Chase helped resolve a bug where day, night, or timeslot products wouldn’t allow same day booking if they had a Booking Window rule applied.

  • 💸 Real Refunds. We’ve heard from many of our operators that there was a missing piece when it came to refunds with Checkfront. Now, if you need to issue a refund for any reason, you or your customer will receive a full refund – booking fee included.

  • 🗓️ Daily Manifest just got better. Built to show all your upcoming bookings in deep detail, our Daily Manifest got some upgrades. Now, it's even easier to:

- Filter and find bookings by Product Category

- See, select, and assign which guest types are allocated to which assets.

- Check-in guests quickly

- See exactly which assets are assigned to any booking

  • We introduced a new way for our operators to test big, new features and, most importantly, provide immediate feedback with Checkfront Labs 🧪!

  • Our booking page customization feature got a design overhaul in Checkfront Labs to make weaving your brand into your booking flow even easier.

  • To make online payments seamless for our operators, we introduced Checkfront Payments 💲. With booking logistics and payment processing all in one place, our operators now have complete control of their customer’s booking journey.

  • We listened to our operators who wanted to protect their business from problematic bookings and launched our Blocklist 🚫 feature.

  • We launched our Automatic Redaction 🙈 feature for our Managed customers who are passionate about GDPR compliance.

  • Operators can increase revenue with more guest booking options thanks to our Guest Availability Customization ✏️ feature.

  • We made it even easier to see exactly what your customers see when setting up or editing a new offering with Product Preview 👀 .

👷 Improvement Highlights

Releasing new features is only half of the equation! Listening and ensuring those features work the way our operators need them to is just as important. Here are the top improvements we made thanks to your valuable feedback.

  • 🗣 Lost in translation. We resolved a handful of issues around our in-app translation capabilities that were causing the need for workarounds and fixes.

  • 🕰️ Turn back the clocks. We heard from our operators that there were issues with products not being bookable over daylight savings. We fixed that!

  • 👥 GetYourGuide groups. Products with multiple guest types (adult, child, senior, etc.) are now bookable by GetYourGuide groups. Operators simply navigate to their GetYourGuide integration and add “groups” under each guest type drop-down.

  • ⚡️ Electric Slide. Get a better look at how your availability is impacted in the Inventory Calendar with our side panel that automatically slides open to see Shared Inventory.

Announcing: Guest Availability Customization ☑️ | Unlock the full potential of your booking options with Guest Availability Customization.

Easily set which guest types can book at what times without the hassle of duplicating products. Add as many guest types to a single product as you need, then toggle them on or off in your Availability Events – from kids to seniors or beginners to experts.

Then, deliver a seamless booking experience for customers with guest types that automatically display or disappear depending on the day, week, or time selected.
