Advancing Child Wellbeing, Together.
Change Beginnings.
Change Everything.

Child Abuse Prevention is not just a month on the calendar.

The earlier we act, the more we can change.

Every day, that action builds strong foundations so children and families across Texas can grow in safe, stable environments.

Start change earlier. Give today and help protect children before harm begins.

Prevention Starts Before Crisis.

Eradicating the Need for Child Removals

Child abuse is not inevitable. It is preventable when families receive support early — before stress becomes crisis.

Prevention looks like:

  • Mental health care before emergency response is needed.
  • Parenting support before isolation fractures a family.
  • Stable housing before eviction uproots a child.
  • Reaching the food pantry before bellies ache.
  • Communities that step in before breaking points.

This is the work of upstream investment — building support into the places families already live, learn, work and worship.

That’s why Upbring created Child Wellbeing Zones.

Upbring programs span more than 100 locations across Texas, with Child Wellbeing Zones launched in Dallas (Redbird) and Austin (Rundberg).

Leading the Next Era of Child Wellbeing

Child Wellbeing Zones are a place-based prevention model designed to stabilize entire neighborhoods so families stay safe, strong and together.

By focusing on communities under the greatest pressure, we partner with schools, churches, local organizations, businesses and civic leaders to build a connected ecosystem of support — block by block.

We provide individualized case management tailored to each family’s unique needs, including:

  • Parenting coaching and support for healthy family routines.
  • Behavioral and emotional health screenings.
  • Connections to housing stability and basic needs resources.
  • Workforce readiness and economic opportunity supports.
  • Access to medical care, tutoring and counseling.
  • Enrichment opportunities that build confidence and belonging.
Prevention powers change.

Advancing Child Wellbeing, Together

For more than 150 years, Upbring has walked alongside children and families in their hardest moments.

  • 100,000+ children served in the last decade.
  • 10,000+ children and families supported each year.
  • 100+ locations across Texas.

With your help, we’re creating pathways to safety, healing and long-term stability through active Child Wellbeing Zones in Dallas and Austin, with plans to expand across Texas.

Because prevention doesn’t happen alone. It happens when we invest together.

Your gift makes possible:

  • Early support for families.
  • Community-based prevention programs.
  • Upstream solutions that reduce crisis before it happens.

Prevention starts before crisis.
It starts with you.

Prevention Starts with you.

Ending Abuse and Neglect Before They Begin

Prevention becomes possible when you step forward — in your workplace, congregation, school or neighborhood.

  • Put prevention on your agenda: add it to a team meeting, small group discussion or community forum and talk about how families can be supported before crisis.
  • Share practical resources: distribute food pantry information, counseling contacts, parenting classes or financial assistance tools through newsletters, HR portals, church bulletins or social media.
  • Invite others to take part: organize a volunteer day, host a supply drive, sponsor a family support program or encourage employees and members to mentor or give.
  • Partner with Upbring: collaborate on workplace giving, community events, sponsorships or strategic initiatives that expand prevention in your region.

Whether you’re an individual, a corporate leader or a civic partner, your voice helps build safer communities for children.

Early results show that when support is targeted, voluntary and delivered at the neighborhood level, families stabilize sooner and children experience measurable gains in safety, consistency and wellbeing.

“The most important thing we can do is work together because no one has all the answers. By partnering with other organizations that provide resources we may not have, we create a win for the community. We’re not doing something for the community — we’re coming alongside it, treating residents as valuable partners in healing, restoration and transformation."

“We give to Upbring because God has blessed us with such a great life, and we want to do our part to share those blessings with others.”

“Vulnerable children don’t just need services. They need families, community, and love that is accountable, responsible, and reliable. The call to care for vulnerable children is not a special ministry for a few; it is the visible evidence of a Church that truly understands the heart of God. When the Church shows up for the most vulnerable, the world sees the Gospel in action.”
