Getting Started

Ultima Online clients from 1.25.30 to 5.0.9.1 are supported, with encryption enabled. We recommend UOR client for a classic experience.

Follow the steps below to set up the Ultima Online client.

1. Download the UOR client:

2. Extract the archive to a folder of your choice.

3. Classic UO clients require Windows registry keys to locate their data files. Choose one of the following options to set up the installation path:

   Option A - DLL wrapper (recommended): download dsound.dll and place it next to client.exe. It intercepts registry lookups and automatically resolves paths from the client's own directory, making the installation fully portable.

   Option B - Registry file: download uo.reg, edit it with a text editor to set the path where you extracted the client, and double-click it to apply.

4. Edit login.cfg in the client folder with a text editor and set the login server line to:

   LoginServer=uo.serpent-isle.com,2593

   Use a comma between the hostname and the port, not a colon.

5. Launch and play.

Connect

Accounts are created automatically on first login. Enter any username and password at the login screen.
