YOU ARE MY ALL IN ALL

YOU ARE MY ALL IN ALL

I woke up this morning with the song “You Are My All In All” in my spirit and thought I’d share it.

It is a blessing to me……may it also bless you.

Shalom,

Kim

YOU ARE MY ALL IN ALL

Although blessed with some good people in my life whom I appreciate, treasure, and am very grateful to God for, hands down, my best friend is Jesus Christ. I really can’t imagine life on this earth without Him, and I’m not just saying that to sound spiritual or impressive, He is truly my all in all.

“The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him.”

(Psalm 28:7 – NIV)

“My salvation and my honor depend on God;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.”

(Psalm 62:7 – NIV)

FLASHBACK FRIDAY……WHO AM I?

FLASHBACK FRIDAY…….WHO AM I?

I bought my first Point of Grace album, “Steady On “, when it was released back in 1998 and the song that ministered to me the most,  was called “Who Am I?”.

“Who Am I?” has been in my spirit all week so I just decided to post it.

When I think of God and who He is…..when I think of the eternal, multifaceted, glorious, awesome, wise, powerful, splendid, expansive, gracious, loving, magnificence of His being…….and then I think of me and who I am, it totally blows me away that He would want a relationship with me….who am I?

Be encouraged and be blessed as you listen.

Kim

“WHO AM I?” – POINT OF GRACE

LYRICS

Over time You’ve healed so much in me,
And I am living proof.
That although my darkest hour had come,
Your light could still shine through.
Though at times it’s just enought to cast,
A shadow on the wall.
I am grateful that you’ve shined your light on me at all.

[CHORUS]
Who Am I,
That you would love me so gently?
Who Am I,
That you would recognize my name?
Who Am I,
That you would speak to me so softly?
Conversation with the Lord most high.
Who Am I?

Oh Amazing Grace how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost,
But now am found.
Was blind,
But now I see.
And the more I sing that sweet old song,
The more I understand.
That I do not comprehend this love that’s coming from your hand.

[REPEAT CHORUS]

Grace, grace.
God’s grace.
Grace that will pardon, and cleanse within.
Grace, grace.
God’s great grace.
Grace that is greater than all my sin.

[REPEAT CHORUS]

Lord, Who Am I?
Who Am I?
Lord Who Am I?
Who Am I?
Who Am I?

“When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?”

(Psalms 8:3-4 – KJV)

“When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—
the moon and the stars you set in place—
what are mere mortals that you should think about them,
human beings that you should care for them?”

(Psalms 8:3-4 – NLT)

“I look up at your macro-skies, dark and enormous,
your handmade sky-jewelry,
Moon and stars mounted in their settings.
Then I look at my micro-self and wonder,
Why do you bother with us?
Why take a second look our way?”

(Psalms 8:3-4 – The Message Bible)

THREE DOGS & A CAT TOGETHER?????

THREE DOGS & A CAT TOGETHER?????

IF WE CAN DO IT, SO CAN YOU!

IF WE CAN DO IT, SO CAN YOU!

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity!

It is like the precious oil [of consecration] poured on the head, Coming down on the beard, Even the beard of Aaron, Coming down upon the edge of his [priestly] robes [consecrating the whole body].

It is like the dew of [Mount] Hermon Coming down on the hills of Zion; For there the Lord has commanded the blessing: life forevermore.”

(Psalms 133:1-3 – Amplified Bible)

SEEK ME FOR ME

SEEK ME FOR ME

SEEKING GOD IS A BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE

SEEKING GOD IS A BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE

You say you have sought Me

But you did not seek Me

You sought what you thought you could get from Me

Selah!

You say you have sought Me

But you did not seek Me

You sought to receive from my hand, not to draw closer to My heart

Selah!

You did not seek Me in purity of heart

You did to seek Me in purity of motive

You did not seek Me out of love and a desire to build a deeper relationship with Me

You did not seek Me for Me

This is not the path for you

Your path is to draw close to My heart

Your path is to build a deep abiding relationship with Me; an unshakeable relationship that can withstand anyone and anything

This is the path for you

Seek Me for Me

Delight yourself in Me

Not in my power and anointing to intervene in your circumstances, but in Me

Seek Me for Me

Seek Me for Me

Spend time with Me

Bask in My presence

Seek My face

Get to know My ways

Feed on My Word

Interact with Me from a place of love

Seek Me for Me

Seek Me for Me

Do this in purity in heart

Do this is in sincerity in motive

Seek Me for Me

Seek Me for Me

Do this and out of your relationship with Me

The anointing on  your life will increase

The desires of your heart will be fulfilled

Seek Me for Me

Seek Me for Me

Selah.

“You have said, Seek My face [inquire for and require My presence as your vital need]. My heart says to You, Your face (Your presence), Lord, will I seek, inquire for, and require [of necessity and on the authority of Your Word].”

(Psalm 27:8 – Amplified Bible Classic Edition)

“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.”

(Psalm 37:4 – Amplified Bible Classic Edition)

“IN HIS TIME”

“He hath made every thing beautiful in his time:….”

(Ecclesiastes 3:11 – KJV)

“The Lord is my portion and my inheritance,” says my soul;

“Therefore I have hope in Him and wait expectantly for Him.”

The Lord is good to those who wait [confidently] for Him,

To those who seek Him [on the authority of God’s word].

It is good that one waits quietly

For the salvation of the Lord.”

(Lamentations 3:24-26 – Amplified Bible)

THE QUIET ZONE

THE QUIET ZONE

QUIET ZONE

THE QUIET ZONE

THE

Time out from everything and everyone

Helping others temporarily suspended

Entire being in a state of rest

QUIET

Quietness is the order of the day

Understood by some….misunderstood by others

Intimate time with God is paramount

Emptying, re-filling, re-shaping, re-energizing, replenishing

Talking with others limited

ZONE

Zappers of energy kept at bay

Only what God orders is in order

No room for entertaining issues, or stress

Exiting the zone when God’s purposes are complete and He gives the green light

SELAH!

“The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield me],

I shall not want.

He lets me lie down in green pastures;

He leads me beside the still and quiet waters.

He refreshes and restores my soul (life);

He leads me in the paths of righteousness

for His name’s sake.”

(Psalms 23:1-3 – Amplified Bible)

“My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him; for my hope and expectation are from Him.

(Psalms 62:5 – Amplified Bible)

5 WISDOM NUGGETS FOR MY SISTERS

5 WISDOM NUGGETS FOR MY SISTERS

TRUSTING AND RESTING IN GOD IS BEAUTIFUL

WOMEN WHO WALK IN DIVINE WISDOM RADIATE BEAUTY

Here’s 5 wisdom nuggets to strengthen, encourage and edify my Sisters……although addressed to my Sisters, my Brothers can benefit from the principles as well…..be blessed!

NUGGET 1

“Never compare yourself to other women. There will always be someone more attractive, competent, fluent, poised, articulate, intelligent, qualified, fit, influential, funny, talented, anointed, popular or shapely than you are. That’s okay. By divine design, the attributes God gave you are tied into His purpose for you. Maximize what you have and shine in your own unique way for His glory.”

NUGGET 2

“Be warm, loving, and open. Share your heart, bond with others, but remember that the seat of the throne of your heart is reserved for God and God alone. Never allow anyone else to sit in that powerful place of internal dominance. Not your father, mother, brother, sister, husband, children, significant other, best friend, pastor, boss or whomever. That highly influential place within rightfully belongs to God. Retain Him as your first love and none other.”

NUGGET 3

“Be careful not to allow the pressure of expectations, the lack of understanding, the looks of disapproval, the negative vibes, the critical spirit, the absence of support, the wary facial expressions, the scorn, the gossip, or the threats, from those around you and even closest to you, cause you to divert from or abandon the path, the process and ultimately, the fulfillment of what you know to be God’s will for your life.”

NUGGET 4

“No matter how bad a situation seems, remember you serve an awesome mighty, powerful, loving, wise, just, and holy God who sees and knows all about everything you encounter and who is well able to do exceedingly abundantly above and beyond anything you can ask, think or even imagine…..Trust Him.”

NUGGET 5

“When you go to the house of God to worship, remember to dress modestly. Be mindful that your brothers are there to worship too and they do not need to be distracted by exposed cleavage or a tightly wrapped booty. They may be saved, but they are not dead so dress modestly and help them to focus on God and not on you.”

Grace, Peace & Love!

A BIRTHDAY TRIBUTE TO MY MUM

A BIRTHDAY TRIBUTE TO MY MUM

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM

Today is June 6th.

Why is that significant?

It’s significant because it is my mum’s 77th birthday and she is alive, healthy, active and in her sound mind….God is good!

So, because it’s her birthday, it’s my pleasure to use this post to say a few words of thanks to my mother, Judith Pamela Pratt Thompson, aka Ms. Pratt, Mrs. Thompson, Judith, Judy, Jude, Mum, Mummy, Mom-mom, Grammy-Pammy, Aunt Judy, Goddie, Sister Judy and Neighbor.

Today I thank my mother for the wonderful example she has set for me as a wife.

Mum, by your example you have demonstrated to me how a woman can seek to honor God in her marriage, love and care for her husband, be desirable and pleasing to his eyes, be supportive yet not lose her unique personhood and purpose, be submissive, but never at the price of what is right in God’s eyes, seek to express herself honestly and respectfully, not be a nag, not to pressure him for money or material goods, cook to the best of her ability, keep her house clean and tidy, create a welcoming home environment, provide companionship, take good care of his children, embrace his family, honor her marriage vows, and not let herself go, but to keep herself looking good as time passes.

Mum, thank you for the good example you set as a wife.

Today, I also want to thank my mother for the wonderful example she set for me as a mother.

Mum, by your example, you have demonstrated to me how a woman can seek to honor God in her role as a mother, love and care for her children, help them to develop in all areas of their being, physical, mental, emotional, social, and most importantly spiritual through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, spend quality time with them, not be afraid to discipline them when necessary, teach them to be kind, to share with and care for each other, teach them the importance of maximizing their educational opportunities, support their gifts, talents, abilities, hopes and dreams, impart godly wisdom, demonstrate godly character and principles, share what you’ve learned about people and life, show them how to stand on their own feet, be there for them as best you can in times of trouble, and become a friend to them in their adult years.

Mum, thank you for the good example you set as a mother.

Today, I also want to thank my mother for the wonderful example she set for me as a grandmother.

Mum, by your example, you have demonstrated to me how a woman can seek to honor God in her role as a grandmother, and love and care for her grand children…..and the way that all of your grandchildren love you attests to the fact that you are doing a marvellous job!!

Time won’t permit me to elaborate, however I also want to also thank my mother for showing me through her life what it is to be a good example of a daughter, grand-daughter, niece, sister, aunt,  mother-in-law, godmother, friend, neighbor, church member, employee, and member of our society.

I wrote the following poem for my mum for Mother’s Day 2002.

Although written 14 years ago, to me this poem is just as good as if written today because there is nothing that I wrote about her that needs to be changed in any way, which in and of itself is a testimony to the consistency of her character and personality…..well, her dog Shera died a few years  ago, but now her new dog Footsy gets some of that attention.

JUDITH

Jesus is in her heart

Uprightness is her goal

Dedicated to her family and church

Interested in gardening, magazines and Shera her dog

Tidy, she and dirt are no friends

Healthy, slim and strong

PAMELA

Proud of her heritage

Admirable career accomplishments

Makes a joyful noise unto the Lord

Exemplary lifestyle

Laughs a lot, especially at silliness

Always believes in prayer

THOMPSON

Teacher, never mind her retirement

Helpful, always lending a hand

Outstanding cook, hhhm, hhhm, good

Mindful of the needs of others

PLP, all the way!

Survivor, still standing after many trials

Orderly, she likes everything in place

Noteworthy mother, and grandmother.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM! – may your remaining years be filled with good health, happiness, and the completion of God’s purpose and plan for your life.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY” – OBUBANJO

“Charm and grace are deceptive, and [superficial] beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the Lord [reverently worshiping, obeying, serving, and trusting Him with awe-filled respect], she shall be praised.”

(Proverbs 30:30 – Amplified Bible)

God bless you and I love you.

ENCOURAGEMENT TO CITIZENS OF HEAVEN RESIDING ON EARTH

ENCOURAGEMENT TO CITIZENS OF HEAVEN RESIDING ON EARTH

OUR CITIZENSHIP IS IN HEAVEN

OUR CITIZENSHIP IS IN HEAVEN

As Believers, we are not only members of the Body of Christ, Saints, and Children of God, but according to Philippians 3:20, we are also citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven.

In the natural realm, when we are a citizen of a country, our citizenship is not transient, coming into and out of existence as we move from place to place. We remain a citizen of that country no matter where we are.

I am a citizen of the Bahamas known as a Bahamian, and I am a Bahamian no matter where I go. When in the Bahamas I am a Bahamian. If I travel to America, China or any other nation I am a Bahamian. When at home, school, work, on the beach, in the food store or driving my car, I am a Bahamian.

In the spirit realm, when we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, are spiritually re-born and become citizens of the Kingdom, just as our natural citizenship is not transient, coming into and out of existence as we move from place to place, neither is our spiritual citizenship in heaven transient. We remain Kingdom citizens no matter where we are physically on the earth.

Whatever country we are in, whether India, Pakistan, Brazil, Zimbabwe, the Canary Islands, or Barbados, we are Kingdom citizens and wherever we are in that country, whether in our home, place of worship, on our job, at school, in parliament, the food store or at the mall, we are Kingdom citizens.

As citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven, it is important to note and remember that:

  • Our ultimate allegiance is to God as our Ruler and Sovereign King.
  • We are foreigners in this earthly realm.
  • Our spiritual citizenship in heaven is higher than, and therefore takes precedence over our earthly citizenship, e.g., Bahamian citizenship, US citizenship, Korean citizenship, etc.
  • We live in the country that we do because He has called and appointed us as His ambassadors, representatives, or agents in that particular earthly territory.
  • The Constitution of our Kingdom is the Word of God; it is our supreme law and we are to obey it above all earthly laws. No matter where we are, what we face, or who we are with, our thoughts, words, morals, values and deeds are to be aligned with and governed by, God’s purposes, plans, principles, and precepts as outlined in the Word.
  • The only position we are to take on an issue is that of our Government or King. We are to yield to and uphold the position of the King and to readily advance His Kingdom’s agenda in whichever earthly arena or capacity we may function.
  • Our main mission is to make disciples of all nations and to thereby expand the dominion of the King on the earth. The cause of Christ is what we live for and what we are to be prepared to die for.

We are in an age of increasing opposition from the world system, the flesh, and the devil, and  the cost of living as God desires is rising.

Globally these forces seem to be raging as never before to change, undermine, and if possible eradicate the fundamental tenets, standards, principles, and doctrines of the Word of God and persons who uphold them and are committed to Jesus Christ.

In spite of this, as Kingdom Citizens, and keeping in mind that this earth is not our home, may we, by the grace of God and power of the Holy Spirit, make it our practice to submit to what God as our Sovereign King desires, approves of, and/or wants to accomplish in every situation and circumstance we encounter.

It is to Him, our Sovereign Ruler that we must give an account……may His Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

I wrote the following post in December of 2012, re-posted it last February and in light of the rising global trend of humans legislating what is right in their own eyes as opposed to what is right in God’s eyes, I thought it would be good to post it again…..be challenged and be blessed!

GOD’S LAW VS. HUMAN LAW

GOD'S LAW SHALL PREVAIL

“GOD’S LAW SHALL PREVAIL”

If God’s Law declares something to be wrong,

no human legislation can make it right.

A popular or majority vote means nothing in the eyes of God.

If every human being on this planet votes in favor of an activity or behavior deemed wrong by God,

and every nation of the earth passes laws to support the same,

in God’s eyes, that activity or behavior is still wrong and He will judge it accordingly.

Be not deceived.

No matter what man declares as right,

if God says it is wrong, it is wrong.

SELAH!

As we seek to live out our faith in these last days, let’s keep in mind that as citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven, God is our Sovereign King, His Word is our Supreme authority, and we are only temporarily residing on this earth so we need to be sober, alert, walk circumspectly and be careful not to allow ourselves to get entangled in earthly affairs, to our spiritual detriment.

“Brothers and sisters, together follow my example and observe those who live by the pattern we gave you. For there are many, of whom I have often told you, and now tell you even with tears, who live as enemies of the cross of Christ [rejecting and opposing His way of salvation], whose fate is destruction, whose god is their belly [their worldly appetite, their sensuality, their vanity], and whose glory is in their shame—who focus their mind on earthly and temporal things. But [we are different, because] our citizenship is in heaven. And from there we eagerly await [the coming of] the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; who, by exerting that power which enables Him even to subject everything to Himself, will [not only] transform [but completely refashion] our earthly bodies so that they will be like His glorious resurrected body.”

(Philippians 3:17-21 – Amplified Bible)

“Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers [in this world] to abstain from the sensual urges [those dishonorable desires] that wage war against the soul. Keep your behavior excellent among the [unsaved] Gentiles [conduct yourself honorably, with graciousness and integrity], so that for whatever reason they may slander you as evildoers, yet by observing your good deeds they may [instead come to] glorify God in the day of visitation [when He looks upon them with mercy].”

(1 Peter 2:11-12 – Amplified Bible)

“For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.”

(Psalms 119:89 – KJV)

“Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.”

(Psalms 119:152 – KJV)

“Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

(Psalms 119:160 – KJV)

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”

(Matthew 24:35 – KJV)

Be encouraged,

Kim

GOD IS GOD……

GOD IS GOD……

CAN GOD TRUST YOU?

GOD IS GOD!

God is God.

He is who He is.

He is all of who He is.

We cannot reject parts of Him yet claim to accept Him.

He cannot be separated from Himself.

As Believers, we need to be careful not to delusionally believe we can treat God like a buffet, readily selecting and accepting His attributes that we find comfortable, pleasing and beneficial, such as, that He is a God of love, grace and mercy, while conveniently omitting and rejecting those that we find sobering, daunting, and  commanding of reverential fear, such as, that He is also a God of holiness, judgment and wrath.

God is God.

He is who He is.

He is all of who He is.

We cannot reject parts of Him yet claim to accept Him.

He cannot be separated from Himself.
