A PRAYER FOR MY CHILDREN

A PRAYER FOR MY CHILDREN

"A PRAYER FOR MY CHILDREN"

“A PRAYER FOR MY CHILDREN”

Father in the Name of Jesus I lift up my children to you today and pray that:-

They grow in their personal relationship with You and treat it as the most precious thing they have on this earth.

They remember to read, study, meditate on and obey your Word, all the days of their lives.

They never neglect prayer, praise, time in your presence or assembling for worship with other Believers.

They honor their father and me so that it may go well with them and they may enjoy long life on the earth.

They take care of their bodies as the temple of Your Holy Spirit, do all they can to keep healthy, fit and strong and  abstain from sexual immorality.

They have the mind of Christ and exercise good judgment in every situation.

They be the unique individuals that You created them to be and not be ensnared by the bondage of comparing themselves to others.

They find and fulfill Your divine purpose for their lives no matter what it requires of them.

They discover and use all their gifts, talents and abilities to Your honor and glory and the advancement of Your Kingdom.

They always seek to do their best in every situation and be contented with the results, knowing that they did their best.

Their desire to try will always be stronger than their fear of failure; for You have not given them a spirit of fear and they can do all things through Christ who strengthens them.

They work with diligence and excellence and successfully excel in their chosen careers.

They do well financially and govern their money as according to Your Kingdom financial principles, faithfully giving to You, taking care of their families, contributing to Your work, helping others in need and making wise purchases and investments.

They walk in Your divine favor.

They walk in wisdom beyond their years.

They come to know the gift of true friendship.

They joyfully embrace each stage of their lives.

They seek to honor You wherever they are, whoever they are with and in whatever they do.

They abide under Your divine protection.

They choose God-fearing, compatible spouses who love them and seek their best interests should marriage be a part of their future.

They faithfully pass Your Truth and the principles and values of Your Kingdom on to the next generation.

They always know that no matter what they face in life, You are always there for them, You will always love them, and  You will never fail them.

Father I thank you in advance for the manifestation in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.”

BEWARE OF SCORN

BEWARE OF SCORN

"BEWARE OF SCORN"

“BEWARE OF SCORN!”

SCORN – a feeling and expression of contempt or disdain for someone or something.

CONTEMPT – the feeling that a person or a thing is worthless or deserving scorn; disregard for something that should be considered

DISDAIN – the feeling that someone or something is unworthy of one’s consideration or respect

(Source: http://www.oxforddictionaries.com)

Beware of the attitude that you hold in your heart toward others who are, or who you think are in some way less fortunate than you.

If you have a strong, fit and healthy body, beware not to scorn others who don’t.

If you hold a position of leadership and authority in some area, beware not to scorn others who don’t.

If you have a well-paying job with a position of influence and power, beware not to scorn others who don’t.

If you are smart and catch on to things quickly, beware not to scorn others who don’t.

If you have a successful and profitable business, beware not to scorn others who don’t.

If you have a marriage that is happy and fulfilling, beware not to scorn others who don’t.

If you have focused, well-behaved children that do not give you problems, beware not to scorn others who don’t.

If you have a close-knit loving family who will stand by you through any situation, beware not to scorn others who don’t.

If you have money over and above to meet your needs, beware not to scorn others who don’t.

If you have shoes and clothes that are fashionable and costly, beware not to scorn others who don’t.

If you live in a nice house or neighborhood, beware not to scorn others who don’t.

If you drive a nice vehicle, beware not to scorn others who don’t.

If you have gifts, talents and abilities that help you excel in particular areas, beware not to scorn others who don’t.

If you have a ministry that is effective and expanding, beware not to scorn others who don’t.

If you have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, beware not to scorn others who don’t.

If you have a mature relationship with God and a good understanding of His Kingdom, beware not to scorn others who don’t.

Beware not to scorn others who are, or who you think are in some way less fortunate than you.

Remember, every good thing that you have or experience is because of the goodness, grace and blessing of God on your life.

Remember also that you have not finished living yet and do not know what your future holds.

“For by the grace (unmerited favor of God) given to me I warn everyone among you not to estimate and think of himself more highly than he ought [not to have an exaggerated opinion of his own importance], but to rate his ability with sober judgment, each according to the degree of faith apportioned by God to him.”

(Romans 12:3 – Amplified Bible)

“For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?”

(I Corinthians 4: 7 – NIV, 1984)

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”

(James 1:17 – NIV, 1984)

“Haughty eyes, a proud heart, and evil actions are all sin.”

(Proverbs 21:4 – NLT)

“He has showed you, O man, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

(Micah 6:8 – NIV, 1984)

REST IN GOD’S SOVEREIGNTY IN 2013

REST GOD’S SOVEREIGNTY IN 2013

"REST IN THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD"

“REST IN THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD”

I originally posted this in June of 2010 but sense strongly in my spirit that as we enter 2013, we need to anchor our hearts and souls and rest in the fact that God is sovereign.

Be blessed!

No matter what situation, problem or challenge, you face in 2013, you can rest in the sovereignty of God.

God is Sovereign. He is supreme in authority.  He does not need permission or authorization from anyone to act.

In Isaiah 46:10, He says, “My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure”.  In other words, what I advise shall be and I will do all that I please!

Proverbs 21:1 states, “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it withersoever he will” (KJV).

The NIV version of the bible states, “The kings heart is in the hand of the Lord; he directs it like a water-course, wherever he pleases”(NIV).

The word “king” in this verse represents any official, e.g., a king, prime minister, government leader, social leader, boss etc., and the word “heart” refers to the inner-most nature, our deepest thoughts and feelings etc.

This means that the same way that water can be channeled or made to go in a certain direction, God is able to affect the inner-most nature of anyone in a position of authority and cause his or her deepest thoughts and feelings to come in line with His purposes and plans – What a demonstration of His supreme authority!

Isaiah 55:10-11 states, As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” (NIV)

We can rest assured that every word that God speaks shall do exactly what He purposes for it to do; and all that He speaks shall come to pass exactly as He says.  No one or no thing can override what God has spoken and determined to be so.

There is no situation, official or person in authority on earth who has authority over God.  No matter how seemingly powerful a person or group of persons, there is no one that can override any of God’s purposes, plans or pleasure for they shall be accomplished according to His Word.

God is sovereign. He is supreme in authority.  His purposes shall stand, His Word is sure and He will do all that He pleases. There is no power that is greater than His, absolutely none. He is all-ruling, invincible, unstoppable and supreme.

Revelation 19:6 states, “And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of mighty thunderings saying, Allelujah: for the Lord God omnipotent Reigneth.”(KJV) – The Lord God all-powerful rules.

Isaiah 43:13 says, “Yea before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?” (KJV)

The same verse in the NIV version of the Bible says, “Yes and from ancient of days I am he.  No one can deliver out of my hand.  When I act, who can reverse it?”

In other words, God is saying, when He does something, or purposes that something will happen, nothing and no one can stop it from happening; no government, no boss, no witch, no warlock, no obeah man, no voodoo priestess, no demon, not even satan himself.  Whatever God declares and plans shall come to pass for He is sovereign and omnipotent.

II Chronicles 25:8 says that, “God hath the power to help and to cast down” (KJV); the NIV says, “For God has the power to help or to overthrow”.

God has the power to help or to overthrow.  This means that no matter how fierce or weak the forces or variables operating in a situation, God has the power to determine the outcome by deciding which of them He will help or which He will overthrow, in fact in Daniel 2:21 the Word says that He even removes kings and sets up kings.

God and God alone possesses this level of power, for He only is the sovereign omnipotent one. What power!

WHATEVER THE SITUATION, PROBLEM, OR CHALLENGE YOU FACE IN 2013, KNOW THAT GOD IS SOVEREIGN.

Be encouraged to trust in Him and rest in His sovereignty.

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”

(Romans 8:28 – NLT)

Shalom!

A BRAND NEW YEAR

A BRAND NEW YEAR

"A NEW YEAR"

“A NEW YEAR”

Like a crisp green leaf,

Like the fresh morning dew,

Like a butterfly’s first flight,

Is the year anew.

"NEW"

“NEW”

Like a clean chalkboard,

Like a canvas white,

Like an incomplete post,

Is the year excite.

"NEW"

“NEW”

Like a song yet sung,

Like a sandwich not bitten,

Like  a blank sheet of paper,

Is the year unwritten.

"NEW"

“NEW”

Make it beautiful!

Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track.
Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life!
Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best.
Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over.
 But don’t, dear friend, resent God’s discipline;
don’t sulk under his loving correction.
It’s the child he loves that God corrects; a father’s delight is behind all this.

(Proverbs 3:5-12 – The Message Bible)

Be encouraged!

ENCOURAGEMENT FOR THE NEW YEAR 2013

ENCOURAGEMENT FOR THE NEW YEAR 2013

HAPPY NEW YEAR

“HAPPY NEW YEAR!”

The enemy would have you look at 2012 through his eyes and see all the things that you did not attain, complete, accomplish, and overcome so that you can feel powerless, depressed, and defeated as you move into the new year.

But I say look at 2012 through God’s eyes and see the things that you did accomplish, complete, attain, and overcome and celebrate and praise God for your successes, no matter how large or small.

Yes there were times of pain, disappointment, struggle, and failure, but there were also times of joy, satisfaction, ease and success.

Let the negative experiences make you stronger and wiser and the positive ones empower, strengthen and fill you with renewed faith in God, in His love for you and in His purposes and plans for your life.

Don’t ride the enemy’s bandwagon into 2013, weighed down with his dark, depressive outlook.

Instead, ride in on God’s glory train built up with joy, peace and a spirit of expectancy that 2013 will be your best year ever!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

(Jeremiah 29:11 – NIV, 1984)

I want to take this opportunity to thank each follower and visitor that graced the pages of “Unwalled” this year.

I am truly grateful for your presence and support and for the privilege to encourage, edify and inspire your lives.

May God’s richest blessings rest upon each of you in 2013.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

SONGS OF HOPE, JOY & PEACE FOR 2013

SONGS OF HOPE, JOY AND PEACE FOR 2013

"2013"

“2013”

As the new year approaches, a spiritual perceptual war rages.

The enemy wants you to see 2013 through his eyes so he can fill your heart with worry, anxiety and fear.

God wants you to see 2013 through His eyes so He can fill your heart with hope, joy and peace.

Whose view will you embrace?

The enemy’s or God’s?

May the following songs bless, strengthen and inspire you to embrace God’s view.

A SONG OF ASCENTS

“1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from?

2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber;

4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord watches over you—the Lord is your shade at your right hand;

6 The sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

7 The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life;

8 The Lord will watch over your coming and going
 both now and forevermore.”

(Psalms 121 – NIV, 1984)

MY SCRIPTURE FOR 2013

MY SCRIPTURE FOR 2013

"WHAT'S YOUR SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR 2013"

“WHAT’S YOUR SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR 2013”

As each year comes to a close, the Lord gives me a scripture for the ensuing year that becomes a heightened source of encouragement and strength to my spirit at various times during the year.

The scripture that He has given me for 2013 is Habakkuk 3:19 which states:-

“The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds’ feet and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk] and make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]!” – (Amplified Bible)

Has the Lord given you a scripture for 2013?

If so, please share it in the comments.

Peace & Blessings!

THIS CHRISTMAS

This Christmas

This Christmas

“Merry Christmas”

This Christmas,

each time you see a light, remember that Jesus is the light of the world.

This Christmas,

each time you see a gift, remember that God gave the greatest gift in sending His only begotten Son to earth so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

This Christmas,

each time you see a Christmas tree, remember the price Jesus paid for your salvation by suffering and dying on the cross.

This Christmas

each time you see preparations made in commemoration and celebration of the first arrival of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, remember the importance of preparing yourself for His next arrival because He is coming again, not as a baby in a manger, but as a mighty, conquering King.

This Christmas

may you and your loved ones have a blessed, peaceful, safe, and Christ-filled, holiday.

Merry Christmas!

KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE

KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE

KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE!

“KEEP THE DREAM LIVE!”

To everyone who had a dream for 2012 that did not happen due to various circumstances, the word for you today is, “keep the dream alive”.

Don’t give up and let your dream die simply because it did not come to pass this year.

Instead, Keep standing, keep believing, keep hoping, keep trusting, keep planning, keep acting, for in due season, by the grace of God, it will surely come to pass.

Be encouraged and inspired by this video of Yolanda Adams singing “Never Give Up”.

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behind hand on its appointed day.”

(Habakkuk 2:3 – Amplified Bible)
