Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,

But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

(Isaiah 40:30, 31 – NKJV)

“Two scientists who studied eagles, Jon. M. Gerrard and Gary R. Bortolotti, write that “Eagles are capable of sustained flapping flight but they usually spend little time doing it. During the month when Cindy (one of the female eagles they studied) was observed intensively, she averaged less than 2 minutes per hour in flapping flight. That is not surprising when one considers the large expenditure of energy required by the pectoral and supracoracoid muscles to power the huge wings. The energy needed to maintain a bird in flat soaring or gliding flight is much less, perhaps a 20th or less the power needed for flapping. Therefore, eagles will always choose to soar or glide when possible.”

That is why when eagles are flying long distances, especially on migration, they often soar on thermals until they reach a great altitude, and then use the gliding/soaring method of flying to cover the longest distance using the smallest amount of energy.

(Source: – http://www.learner.org/jnorth/tm/eagle/EagleFlightLesson.html)

“While migrating, eagles ride columns of rising air called thermals and can average speeds of 30 mph (50 kilometers). Effortlessly, an eagle can circle in a strong thermal to a high altitude, then glide long distances in the direction of its migration until it finds the next column of rising air.”

(Source: – http://www.baldeagleinfo.com/eagle/eagle10.html)

Even youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted;

But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.”

(Isaiah 40:30, 31 – Amplified Bible)

ARE YOU AN EAGLE LIVING THE LIFE OF A CHICKEN?

SHORT STORY

BY MASANKHO BHANDA

SELAH!

“For even young people tire and drop out,
young folk in their prime stumble and fall.
But those who wait upon God get fresh strength.
They spread their wings and soar like eagles,
They run and don’t get tired,
they walk and don’t lag behind.”

Sometimes God uses conflict and rejection to push His children into their destiny.

Ask Him to help you re-evaluate your situation through His eyes.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

AN ENCOURAGING POEM FOR MOTHERS

AN ENCOURAGING POEM FOR MOTHERS

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY

MOTHER

M – Militant

When the enemy attacks, do not fear. Do not cower down. Rise up in faith, engage your spiritual weapons and fight for the souls of your children. Remember you are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus and greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

Ephesians  6:11 – “Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”

Ephesians 6:12 – “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

2 Timothy 2:3 – “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”

1Timothy 6:12 – “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.”

O – Overflowing with Love

Love your children always and remember that love also entails engaging discipline, setting boundaries and withholding some things for their own good.

I Corinthians 13:1-7 – “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.”

Galatians 5:6 – “For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.”

Hebrews 12:5-6 – “And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom the Lord loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.”

T – Trust God

No matter how bad a situation seems, remember you serve an awesome mighty, powerful, loving, wise, just, and holy God who sees and knows all about everything you encounter and who is well able to do exceedingly abundantly above and beyond anything you can ask, think or even imagine. Trust Him.

Psalms 18:30 – “As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that in him.”

Proverbs 3:5-7 – “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him ,and he shall direct thy paths.  Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.”

H – Hear and obey the Holy Spirit

Remember that the Holy Spirit is the greatest teacher and counselor when it comes to parenting your children. Hear and obey His wisdom and instruction as revealed in the Word and spoken to your heart.

John 10:27 – “My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me.”

Romans 8:14 – “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the Sons of God.”

E – Endurance

When things get rough, don’t give up. Hang on in there knowing that His grace is sufficient and this too shall pass.

Hebrews 6:15 – “And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.”

Hebrews 12:2 – “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

R – Rest

Make sure your mind, body, soul and spirit get adequate rest. Here’s a little secret…..the world won’t fall apart if you take some time to nurture yourself….(smile). Remember you are not superwoman and you do have limits. Honor that and don’t let the enemy deceive you into believing otherwise and thereby gain a foothold in your life to break you down.

Matthew 11:28, 29 – “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”

Mark 6:31– “And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.”

BE CAREFUL

BE CAREFUL

BE CAREFUL

BE CAREFUL

Be careful.

Be careful not to allow

the pressure of expectations,

the lack of understanding,

the looks of disapproval,

the negative vibes,

the critical spirit,

the absence of support,

the wary facial expressions,

the scorn,

the gossip,

the threats,

from those around you,

and even closest to you,

to cause you to divert from or abandon

the path, the process and ultimately, the fulfillment

of what you know

to be God’s will for your life.

Be careful.

“And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].”

(Colossians 3:15 – Amplified Bible)

“The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever leans on, trusts in, and puts his confidence in the Lord is safe and set on high.”

(Proverbs 29:25 – Amplified Bible)

“Now am I trying to win the favor of men, or of God? Do I seek to please men? If I were still seeking popularity with men, I should not be a bond servant of Christ (the Messiah).”

(Galatians 1:10 – Amplified Bible)

“For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.”

(Jeremiah 29:11 – Amplified Bible)

Let your eyes look right on [with fixed purpose], and let your gaze be straight before you. Consider well the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established and ordered aright.”

(Proverbs 4:25, 26 – Amplified Bible)

CAN I HAVE SOME TIME WITH YOU?

CAN I HAVE SOME TIME WITH YOU?

I'D LIKE SOME TIME WITH YOU

I’D LIKE SOME TIME WITH YOU

Hey!

Hello!

Hi!

Yoohoo!

Can I have your attention?

No, no, not out there.

In here.

Yes, in here.

I live in you……, remember…..or have you been so busy that you have forgotten that?

Listen.

Can I have some time with you?

Just Me and you.

No one else.

No-thing else.

Just Me and you.

I have some things to tell you.

I have some things to  show you.

I have some directions to give you.

There are some longings in you I’d like to fulfill.

There is some inner-healing I’d like to complete.

There are some things in your life I want to restore, rejuvenate, revive, make whole.

There is another level of peace, power, and purpose I want to manifest in and through you.

Can I have some time with you?

I’d really like to have some time with you.

Hey!

Hello!

Hi!

Yoohoo!

Do I have your attention?………..I felt you backing away.

Listen.

Slow down.

Reduce the pace.

Quiet yourself

Settle yourself.

Turn down the volume.

Shut off the streams.

Block out the voices.

Get away from the clutter.

Lay it all down.

Carve out the time.

Come to Me.

I’ll be waiting for you.

I’ll be waiting just for you.

Can I have some time with you?

I’d really like some time with you.

SAY “YES”

SAY “YES”

"SAY YES TO GOD TODAY"

SAY “YES” TO GOD TODAY

What is God asking of you at this point in your walk with Him?

What has He spoken in your spirit that He wants you to do?

What has He said that He needs from you?

Will your heart, soul say, “Yes”?

Will your spirit say, “Yes”?

Be challenged to obedience as you listen to Shekinah Glory Ministry as they sing “Yes”.

There is more that God is requiring of you.

Will you say “yes”?

I challenge you…….I urge you……..say “yes” today.

“If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands.”

(John 14:15 – Amplified Bible)

NOTEWORTHY QUOTE 2

NOTEWORTHY QUOTE 2

"SELAH - PAUSE AND CALMLY THINK OF THAT"

“SELAH – PAUSE AND CALMLY THINK OF THAT”

The following quote by Francis Chan was posted yesterday by J. S. Parks on his blog http://www.jsparkblog.com.

“We don’t like getting involved in other people’s problems. Our own problems are messy enough — why complicate things by taking on other people’s junk? But the reason is simple: God calls us to help other people. He created us to function this way. … If you wait until all of your own issues are gone before helping others, it will never happen. This is a trap that millions have fallen into, not realizing that our own sanctification happens as we minister to others.”

SELAH!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of sympathy (pity and mercy) and the God [Who is the Source] of every comfort (consolation and encouragement),

Who comforts (consoles and encourages) us in every trouble (calamity and affliction), so that we may also be able to comfort (console and encourage) those who are in any kind of trouble or distress, with the comfort (consolation and encouragement) with which we ourselves are comforted (consoled and encouraged) by God.

The Masterpiece

This inspiring post, “The Masterpiece” was written by Andrea Ogunba and posted on her blog “Spicey Morsels”. I hope it blesses you today. Kim

Rare Gem's avatarSpicey Morsels

He sat down and smiled. Beautiful; the answer had finally come…. This was what everyone had been waiting for… Wow…

He looked so happy, so pleased… everyone around knew this was big as they sat back in wonder and looked at the form in the Father’s hands…

Carried away by the beauty of the moment, Angel Gabriel and Matthew whispered to themselves, “He is so happy, there must be something so special about this one…”

But they knew, they had seen that look on the Father’s face before… they knew this was a big deal…

And then they gasped, tears were coming down his face, like a Father when his 3 year old girl sings her first Christmas Carol for the whole school, the tears flowed freely as his face glowed…

He looked up and said to no one in particular, “… they’ve been waiting for this baby… there’s so…
