BACK-TO-SCHOOL PRAYER FOR 2016-2017

BACK-TO-SCHOOL PRAYER FOR 2016-2017

PRAY FOR OUR CHILDREN AS THEY RETURN TO SCHOOL

PRAY FOR OUR CHILDREN, TEACHERS, ADMINISTRATORS AND SUPPORT STAFF AS THEY RETURN TO SCHOOL

The summer break is just about over and the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year is upon us.

As such, it is important that we pray for our students, teachers, administrators, and support staff as they return to school campuses all over the world.

Below is a back-to-school prayer that I encourage you to pray in faith with Believers worldwide, believing God to move on our behalf for His honor and glory.

Let us pray:

Father, we come to You in the Name of Jesus thanking you for all that You’ve done, known and unknown, during the past school years………..for this, we are forever grateful.

As we enter this new School Year, we ask that You give our students, teachers, administrators, and support staff a spirit of excellence, a mind to work hard, and that You empower them to do well and make the most of each opportunity presented to them.

When things get difficult, grant them a spirit of determination and perseverance to push through and not give up. Help them to recognize and understand that You are their very present help in times of trouble no matter where they are or what they face.

Father, protect and keep our students, teachers, administrators, and support staff. Shield them from all harm and danger. Help them to avoid every trap and foil every plan of the enemy. We cover them in the Blood of Jesus and ask that Your warring angels encamp around them and guard them in all of their ways.

And, more than ever before, help them to hold fast to the Truth of Your Word and not be deceived into believing, accepting or practicing any doctrine, philosophy, or behavior, that is contrary to Your Divine Will and Standards…….even if exposed to their minds, may it not enter their hearts, but let Your Truth always reign supreme in their innermost being.

Father, help our students, teachers, administrators, and support staff to maintain an atmosphere and environment that is conducive to learning and development. Help them to submit to established rules and order and to practice respect. Should disagreement or conflict arise, enable peace and harmony to be wisely and speedily restored without violence or abuse at any level .

Strengthen and comfort all who are coming from homes or personal situations filled with need, strife, and trauma and are secretly hurting and broken within. Enable them to work well in spite of their situations. Intervene on their behalf and bring help, healing and restoration. Touch them and let them know and experience Your love and presence in a special way.

Father, make each student, teacher, administrator, and support staff mindful of their responsibility to represent You well as Ambassadors of Your Kingdom. Remind them that they are salt and light on their school campuses with an assignment to advance Your Kingdom and influence those in their environment for Your honor and glory.

Let Your power and anointing rest upon and work through them making them notably distinct and different, and enabling them to demonstrate Godly wisdom, character, principles and love to all so hearts may be touched, lives changed and souls saved.

Father we place this 2016-2017 School Year and everyone and everything concerning it into Your hands acknowledging our need for and dependence on You.

Thank You in advance for all that You will do for Your honor and glory in Jesus’ Name, amen.

Be encouraged,

Kim

A BACK TO SCHOOL PRAYER FOR OUR STUDENTS & TEACHERS FOR 2015-2016

A BACK TO SCHOOL PRAYER FOR OUR STUDENTS & TEACHERS FOR 2015-2016

FATHER WE PLACE OUR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS BEFORE YOU

FATHER WE NEED YOU!

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the opportunity of another school year, a new beginning, a clean page, a fresh start.

Give our students and teachers a mind to work hard and the will, courage and grace to do well as they aim for excellence. Help them to make the most of each opportunity presented, and to put their best foot forward no matter the circumstance.

When things get difficult, grant them a spirit of perseverance to push through and not give up. May their faith not fail in times of trial, but indeed grow stronger. May they know that You are their God, their very present help in times of trouble even in the academic arena.

Cover our students and teachers in the precious blood of Jesus. Bless, keep and protect them. Shield them from all harm and danger and let your warring angels encamp around them and guard them in all of their ways.

Grant them discernment to see, and strategies to foil the plans of the enemy and to avoid every trap set by him. Help them not to be deceived by any doctrine, philosophy, or trend that tries to exalt itself above the Truth of Your Word; even if exposed to their minds, may it not enter their hearts. Let the Truth of Your Word always reign in their innermost being.

Help our students and teachers to work in an atmosphere of unity and cooperation. Should disagreement or conflict arise, empower peacemakers and ministers of reconciliation to move speedily and wisely to restore peace, harmony and order. May there be no room for violence or abuse on any level.

Strengthen and comfort those students and teachers who are coming from homes or personal situations filled with strife and trauma. Strengthen and comfort those who are secretly hurting and broken within, but still have to show up, focus, and do their duties.

Touch these students and teachers like only You can. By your grace, enable them to work well in spite of their situations. Intervene on their behalf. Minister to their needs seen and unseen. Let them know Your love and presence in a special way.

Father, remind each student and teacher of their responsibility to represent You well as Ambassadors of Your Kingdom. Let Your power and anointing rest upon them making them distinct and different, demonstrating godly character and principles.

Remind them that they are salt and light on their school campuses with an assignment to advance your Kingdom and influence those in their environment for Your honor and glory. May lives be changed, hearts transformed and your plans and purposes established as they obey Your will.

Father, thank You for all that You did during the past school years, known and unknown, and thank You in advance for what You will do in this 2015-2016 school year. We ask and pray these things in no other name but the mighty Name of Jesus, amen.

YOUNG MEN NEED TO READ THIS

YOUNG MEN NEED TO READ THIS

STOP AND THINK BEFORE GETTING INVOLVED IN CRIME

YOUNG MAN – STOP AND THINK BEFORE GETTING INVOLVED IN CRIME!

“If young toughs tell you, “Come and join us”—turn your back on them!

“We’ll hide and rob and kill,” they say.

“Good or bad, we’ll treat them all alike.

And the loot we’ll get! All kinds of stuff!

Come on, throw in your lot with us; we’ll split with you in equal shares.”

Don’t do it, son! Stay far from men like that,

for crime is their way of life, and murder is their specialty.

When a bird sees a trap being set, it stays away,

but not these men; they trap themselves!

They lay a booby trap for their own lives.

Such is the fate of all who live by violence and murder.

They will die a violent death.

HOW DO I SEND MY CHILDREN BACK TO SCHOOL WHEN…….

HOW DO I SEND MY CHILDREN BACK TO SCHOOL WHEN……

SCHOOL WILL SOON OPEN - BE PREPARED AND PRAYERFUL!

SCHOOL WILL SOON OPEN – BE PREPARED AND BE PRAYERFUL!

With the end of August fast approaching, many parents worry about the prospect of sending their children back to school.

Some of the questions that run deep inside are:

How do I send my children back to school in a world where random shootings occur in educational institutions at any level, anywhere, anytime for any reason?

How do I send my children back to school in a world where kids glorify insulting and putting each other down, bullying is an ever-present threat, and academic failure a badge of the “in crowd”?

How do I send my children back to school in a world where seemingly more and more teachers indiscriminately take frustrations out on students, show obvious favoritism and conduct their job as if it were a necessary evil?

How do I send my children back to school in a world where systems exalt school reputation over student well-being, promote and enforce policies that dishonor God, and administrators shamelessly fight for professional brownie points?

How do  you send your children back to school in the midst of these are very real, troubling and complex issues?

As a Believer, some key things you can do are as follows:

  • Ask God for His wisdom and guidance daily
  • Make it a personal priority to continuously put the Word in your children
  • Teach them what is right and wrong in the eyes of the Lord
  • Tell  them that God is with them to protect them and help them in every situation they meet
  • Let them know that their educational opportunity is a gift from God so it is their responsibility to do their best to make the most of it
  • Actively support and encourage them however you can
  • Soak them in prayer, praying both for and with them
  • Stand and believe that God will protect, lead, guide, favor, and enable them to navigate safely through the school year and help them find good success.
  • Pray regularly for the teachers, staff and administrators of their school

I originally posted the following prayer/declaration on August 14th, 2010 and have re-posted it every year since.

As the new school year approaches, I feel the need to re-post it again this year as a prayer for our children as they return to school.

Be encouraged to not just read the prayer, but to join your faith with other Believers and pray it, not only for your own children if you have children, but for every child the Lord lays upon your heart no matter where they are in the world.

Shalom!

Kim

A PRAYER/DECLARATION AS OUR CHILDREN, OUR PRECIOUS HERITAGE OF THE LORD RETURN TO SCHOOL

In the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, we declare that every assignment of the enemy over our children’s lives is cancelled and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper.

We cover them in the blood of Jesus from the crown of their heads to the soles of their feet and request warring angels of the Lord to encamp around them and to protect them from all harm and danger.

In the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, we cast down every high thing that would try to exalt itself against the knowledge of God that our children possess.

We declare that the Word of God is hidden in their hearts and that it is a lamp unto their feet and a light unto their path, continuously guiding their decisions and ordering their steps wherever they go and whatever they face.

In the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, we declare that our children have a mind to work and that the spirit of excellence rests upon them, influencing their academic performance and behavior.

We declare that they submit to the rules and regulations of their schools and obey the instruction of those in authority over them as long as our children do not violate the Word.

In the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, we declare that our children are highly favored of God and that this divine favor positively affects their relations with their school administrators, teachers and fellow students.

We declare that our children establish friendships with children who positively influence their minds, bodies, souls, and spirits, and encourage and support their academic, social and spiritual development.

In the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, we declare that the Spirit of the living God rests upon our children, making them distinct and different in a positive way.

We declare that by the anointing of God, our children demonstrate godly character and principles—that they are salt and light on their school campuses and that God’s plans and purposes are advanced in and through them.

In our authority as the Body of Christ, we declare these things in accordance with the principles of the Word of God and by faith believe and agree that these things are so to the honor and glory of God in Jesus’ name, Amen.

A PRAYER FOR THE YOUNG MEN OF OUR NATION

A PRAYER FOR THE YOUNG MEN OF OUR NATION

PRAY FOR THE YOUNG MEN

LET’S PRAY FOR OUR YOUNG MEN

Father we lift up the young men of our nation to You for no matter their race, creed, color, family origin, life experiences or socioeconomic background, they need You.

For those who have no hope, help them to understand that there is a glorious hope they can have in Christ Jesus.

For those who feel unloved, let them know that you love them enough to have sent Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to die for them that they may have a relationship with You.

For those who have no father, or an absent father, help them to know that You are a Father to the fatherless and You will always be there for them.

For those who feel rejected and like no one cares, help them to know that if they come to you through Christ You will accept them in the Beloved.

For those who are bound by addictions and destructive habits, help them to know there is power in the Name of Jesus to break every chain in their lives and set them free.

For those who are angry and full of rage, help them to understand that under it all they are really hurting and brokenhearted and Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted.

For those who have suffered wrong and whose hearts are full of revenge, help them to know that You are the Righteous Judge and vengeance belongs to You, not to them.

Father stem the tide of bloodshed in our nation for even as Abel’s blood cried out from the ground, the blood of our young men is crying out from the ground.

Restore unto our young men the value and sanctity of life.

Cause them to know that You and You alone give life and they do not have a right to just take it away.

Open the eyes of our young men and help them to see that there are better ways to resolve issues than violence and murder.

Draw them unto You by the power of Your Holy Spirit and break up the hardness in their hearts.

Father help them to know and understand that in spite of the poor examples many of us who name Your Name have set, it does not change the fact that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life and they need Him.

Father forgive us, Your people, for the many ways we have brought reproach to Your Name and become a stumbling block in their eyes.

Cause us to see ourselves as we truly are and to humble ourselves and pray and seek Your face.

Help us to sincerely repent of our sins and turn from our wicked ways, the ways that we know are displeasing to You and that violate the principles of Your Word for then You shall hear from heaven and heal our land.

Father the enemy has come in, but like a flood, we ask You to raise up a standard against him like only You can.

Have mercy upon us O God and touch the young men of our nation.

We ask and pray these things in Jesus’ Name.

Amen.

THE CHOICE

THE CHOICE

"THERE IS NO SUCCESS IN A CAREER THAT CAN MAKE UP FOR FAILURE IN A FAMILY" - JOSEPHUS JIMINEZ

“THERE IS NO SUCCESS IN A CAREER THAT CAN MAKE UP FOR FAILURE IN A FAMILY”         ATTY. JOSEPHUS JIMINEZ

The following is a post written by Atty. Josephus Jiminez that I read on MountainWings.com.

I am re-blogging it because it has a powerful message for us all when it comes to choices relative to work vs family.

Read and be challenged, encouraged and blessed!…Kim

THE CHOICE

EVERY moment in life, we are faced with a choice.

Which should command our preference–the demands of our job or the duties to our family?

If there is a board meeting today at the same hours that our son graduates from school, where should we go — to the boardroom or to the graduation ceremony?

If we have to make a very important presentation tomorrow, so as to advance our career, but your wife says she has to see the doctor on a suspicion of cancer, which appointment should we keep?

These are the daily battles of conscience we have to wage, trying to keep a balance between our responsibility to earn a living and our opportunity to live a life.

And our choices invariably reveal who we really are.

Our preferences indicate our true character.

Our priorities are the best indicators of our real identity.

What profits success?

I know that many of you out there would go for career on the pretension that after all, you are doing all these for the family.

Many of you, dear readers, would rather become outstanding employees, model personnel instead of being doting fathers or loving husbands.

Many of you would opt to perform exceedingly well in the office even if you work 12 to 16 hours a day, going home only to change clothes or catch a few hours of sleep.

But what for? At the end of the day, what have you accomplished?

What profits a highly successful professional or wealthy businessman if ultimately, he loses his family, wrecks his marriage or dishonors the name he will leave to his children?

What has a rich man accomplished if he has built a fortune and founded conglomerates of highly profitable companies and yet drives his own wife to vices or infidelity, his children to drugs and delinquency and himself to spiritual decay and total burnout?

What matters most?

Look around you. The evidence is overwhelming and irreversible.

Families are shattered.

Marriages are broken.

Lives are reduced to utter emptiness.

Even as man advances in wealth and success, he deteriorates on the basic standards of joy, peace and serenity. As we all compete and struggle for power and possessions, we often neglect what really matters most. In our insatiable mania for supremacy over the rest, we often forget the most important things in life.

I will respect your choice. But as for me, my priorities are clear. Between career and family, I will always go for family.

I can forego that board meeting and earn the ire of my boss or make a bad impression on my peers. But I shall not inflict a lifetime trauma on my son by sending him alone to graduate without his dad. I can forget that business presentation and lose a valued client or waste a career promotion, but I cannot leave my wife alone in her moments of anxiety.

Meaningless?

Why should a well-known public figure commit suicide given all his fame and fortune? Can his wealth and wisdom compensate for ruptures in his relationships?

Why should a wife of a famous politician commit adultery with the family driver? Is it lust or vain fixation for the pleasures of the flesh? Or is it the pain of being neglected and ignored by the husband she used to adore?

Why should a son cut his wrist or a daughter drink poison despite all the luxuries and pleasures they are showered with?

Can money replace love?

Can pleasure take the place of affections?

In this age of top line technology and convenience gadgets, why are humans talking to computers rather than with each other? Why are we retrenching people and replacing them with robots and machines?

Why have we lost the simple joys of nurturing relationships with bank tellers because we have replaced them with ATMs?

Why, with all our cells, e-mails, Internets, websites or the endemic texting, are we no longer communicating? Why are family members no longer talking to each other?

The ultimate hell?

To succeed in career and fail in the family is, to me, the ultimate hell.

John Grisham, that famous author of legal fictions wrote “The Testament,” which tells of a highly successful industrialist who made billions of dollars but lost his family.

In the first 10 pages of the novel, he jumped to his death from his multi-story building in front of his self-centered children. By his will, he disinherited all of them and bequeathed his entire estate to an illegitimate daughter who refused to accept it.

That is the ultimate irony; those who lusted for money lost it.

Those who were given all the money refused it.

In all his dozen masterpieces, Grisham tells us about the importance of family. “A Time to Kill” tells of a father who went to jail for killing his daughter’s rapists.

Indeed, we who are simple folks should learn from the mistakes of others. We should straighten our lives and put our priorities in order.

I don’t know about you.

But as for me and my house, our credo is: There is no success in a career that can make up for a failure in the family.

PRAY FOR OUR CHILDREN AS THEY RETURN TO SCHOOL

I originally posted this prayer/declaration on August 14th, 2010 and re-posted it in 2011 and 2012.

Having made some slight changes, I feel the need to re-post it again this year as a prayer for our children as they return to school.

Be encouraged to not just read the prayer, but to join your faith with other Believers and pray it, not only for your own children if you have children, but for every child the Lord lays upon your heart no matter where they are in the world.

Shalom!
