SO...it has been awhile. A long, long while, haha. I honestly wasn't planning on updating this comm anytime soon, but then my internet went down last night, I got bored, and decided to make a few icons. A few icons turned into a lot. And yes. This is my biggest post EVER, which should hopefully make up for me not updating in over a year? Ahaha.

Some of these are ANCIENT (as in, made over a year ago). Some are brand new. I think you can tell which ones are most ancient, since they're labelled with my old username. :x Some I'm proud of, some I'm iffy on. But eh. Here they are!

+ my resolution = 1280x800, so that's what these are. A couple of them I managed to make 1024x768 versions out of, but I didn't even want to attempt to with the others. Feel free to fiddle around with sizings yourself (as long as you don't repost them, s'all good)

48 - mixed batch.

apparently my definition of "soon" translates to "in a few months." Haaaaa...

Anyway, this batch was mostly experimental, as in I messed around with colouring and dabbled in a few trends. Some of the experiments worked out for me and others didn't...really. LOL! A couple of months ago I also got a new laptop, so I went from 1024x768 resoltion -> 1280x800. 1280x800 = kinda sucky resolution to make icons in (they're so tiny!). So yeah, apologies if anything looks funky :)

Apologies to Min (from DBSK) fans as well. I didn't realize that there was such a shortage of Min icons until I went to post them up D8 More Min love next time, k?

Comm renaming is a dangerous thing to do after 1:00 AM. I almost made it "unkowncolour" LOL D:

Figured that it was time for a change! I was getting really sick of "sakuradesigns" because it just didn't quite have the ring to it that I wanted, so I decided to suck it up and change it. LJ must be just loving me for wasting my money on rename tokens, haha! :X Much better than starting over though, imo.

To celebrate the new comm name, there will be an icons post coming soon. :) COMPLETE WITH fulfilled requests :D! *facepalm* SORRY, GUYS T_T; I mean to post two months ago, but went through this whole "my icons are too ugly to post!!11" stage, so never did.

Also, since it's a new name and all and sorta like a new journal, I will be the main icon poster from now on. However, if you had posting access before and would like to keep it, please let me know! I have no problem with keeping you guys as co-posters if you think you'll be up to posting icons + want to stay.

Lastly, it makes me really happy to see people watching the community and actually making use of my work around LJ and various forums. Considering how lazy I am about updating, I never imagined that my little icons community would ever have 117 people watching it...and without you guys, I probably wouldn't have any motivation to update or to continue making icons at all. So, to the people who friended me, anybody who comments, and anybody who uses my icons, THANK YOU <3. Well, college has gotten out for me (well, besides having one more final), and I'm not working full time yet, SO. I have a lot of spare time on my hands, which I'm totally not used to...and I'm ALREADY getting bored out of my mind. Pretty sad, hmm?

Anyway. I've been making icons like crazy (well, crazy for me) for these past few days, and I figured it'd be nice to put out the offer for requests :) Only catch is that these icons will be distributed, because that's kind of my point in making them, haha. Need more variety!

So, just comment with a HIGH QUALITY picture (or MQ at least, but HQ is preferred), andddd if I can make something nice out of it, I will post up the finished icon later ^^

I will take the first 10 requests. If there are any requests after, they still might have a chance of being fulfilled, but it all depends on how motivated I am xD;

This comm turned 2 years old back on January 18th! Whoo hoo! :D If I hadn't been so busy/lazy, I would have updated much sooner with an anniversary post of sorts. But work and school kicks my butt repeatedly and kicks it often, so. Pretty much all of these icons have been made in the past month or so.

The internet has gotten boring lately and I've discovered icon making again. So let's hope that I don't go another 7 or 8 months without updating, eh? xD; Maybe if this continues I'll pick up my Junsu claim again...

The reason for the huge amount of BoA icons: I had a claim at abc_icons that I started and almost finished, but I was kicked off the list because I was too slow.

Crediting 101

Sorry, no icons this time ^^; *is in the process of making a set*. This is a crediting tutorial, because I have noticed some people STILL not crediting. I'm assuming that this is because they don't know what I mean when I say "credit me". You might just make a (friends only O_O;) post in your journal ("Yeah, new icon by azurer! Thanks!!!"), but this is not what I mean when I say "credit", ehehe. (I admit, this was my old method of "crediting"... +___+)

Now that I've confused some of you, I will now go on to explain what the flip I mean =D

Ahhh, k, so here we are. I'm assuming that you all know how to change your userpictures, so I'm not going to go over that.

Scroll down to where you upload your userpictures and type the following in (subsituting "YOUR PICTURE KEYWORDS HERE" for the keywords you want, of course):

That's it! It's really simple ^^ If you entered everything correctly, when you view the page with all of your userpics on it, you should see something that looks like this:

Of course, it will be the icon you uploaded and will not say "by me" because the icon is NOT by you, but you get my point =P The first line are your keywords (on my picture they are "DBSK // Xiah") , and the second line is the "comments" line, which has the handy dandy little link to this community, unknowncolour.

That's pretty much all you need to know! This tutorial is transferrable as well (meaning you can use the same coding for crediting other icon designers, substituting "sakuradesigns" for their community name). If you made the icon yourself you can even be dorky like me and credit yourself with a nice link to your graphics journal XDD

In doing this, not only do people know that I made it and not you (sorry, but I don't like other people getting credit for my work, which is a feeling shared by pretty much ALL icon designers), but it also helps people find this community.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask ^^.

Anyway, I will be including a link to this in the memories as well as on the userinfo page. If you knew all of this already, sorry, but I just want to make sure that the people who aren't crediting know HOW to credit properly.

I was going to hold off posting some new ones for a little while, but I figure that I've held off for long enough, so I'll just post these ^^; I'm planning on making an actual SET sometime soon, but I've been on a bit of a block lately T.T

Most of these were entered in contests. Some of them I don't have banners for yet, but if you're interested in seeing which ones were entered (and which ones placed), just check out the userinfo o_o; Resources are also posted there as well, like always.

Number 8 can also be used as a base. I made the icon and was like "Okay, now what am I going to do with it?", but my brain kind of went blank (I hate blocks.). So, if you want to add text, go ahead, just please credit ^^;
