Love the idea of becoming over revolution. Nicely said!

Why does Unity have to be underground when Prior Unity is always already the case.

Thanks for this question 🙂 I don't think unity needs to particularly be a specific way. The reason why I've named my Substack Unity Underground is that in our current culture of hyper-individualism, doing the personal and interpersonal work needed to develop (or remember) a cohesive we-centric orientation is actually counter-cultural to most of modern society. So the emerging networks of people exploring and rediscovering how to do this could be likened to an underground movement. I hold all of this lightly, and my choice of language is as much for flavour as it is to point to some kind of meaningful truth. I'm sure in 5 or 10 years from now I will think about and language these concepts very differently. But for now I'm writing for those who are interested in building toward sustainable regenerative community, and hope that we can coalesce to practice and form better, more united and holistic communities together. The 'underground' is more or less a playful rallying call to those who resonate with this shared collective impulse to experiment and play with the work at hand. And in that, I'm not attached to it. It just seemed like a cool name to represent the thrust of what I wanted to write about. Another name I was considering was "Intimate Instincts" which points towards the same thing from a different direction. I hope that sheds a bit of light on my choice of words :)

Good response but how many of the 6 billion adult human beings on the planet are participating in such a project or even sympathetic towards it.

Are you familiar with this movement http://newrepublicoftheheart.org

Thanks for sharing that network with me :) I share the sentiment written on their website that there are 'countless initiatives' underway exploring how we might go about this spanning diverse social, political and transformational networks. And in that my intention in writing is not to pioneer a movement, but simply write about the 'movement' that is already happening and synthesize what I learn for readers to enjoy and benefit from. Of the humans alive on earth today, it would seem there is but a small seed of interest in these ideas globally. But I feel it is an extremely important seed, and that it is growing steadily. So one of my intentions is to help share the concepts and ideas to wider audiences so that more and more people can find meaningful ways to engage and transform themselves and their communities. In that, it's not intended to reach and transform 8 billion humans. But it's intended to reach and support a handful of interested humans that may reach and support other humans. I hope that makes sense. It's as much a codex of my own self discovery as it is a resource that others can enjoy and draw from :)
