2.6.26 Update

The framing and drywall are nearing completion, and painting is scheduled to begin next week. During this time there may be some light fumes, but they are expected to be mild and guests should experience minimal disruption. Areas or routes may be blocked, but will be kept to a minimum. Check below for access routes throughout the week!

3.5.26 Update

Construction is continuing to make steady progress this week! Painting on the south side is now complete, and work has begun at the north entrance with minimal disruption expected. In addition to the fresh color throughout the space, the new fireplace has been successfully installed. Crews are also working to level the flooring as they prepare for the upcoming floor installation. We’re excited to see the transformation continue—Rock Chalk!

3.27.26 Update

Painting is nearly complete, and the new TV has been successfully installed in Jayhawk Ink. Crews are actively working on flooring for the Level 4 Jayhawk Walk, with installation expected to wrap up by the end of next week. The CoffeeHouse and Hawkshop will experience intermittent closures during this phase as work continues. The project remains on track for completion by mid-May, and we're so excited to see the progress unfold!

4.24.26 Update

Painting is now officially complete, and floor installation is nearing the finish line as crews work on the last few areas. Wood paneling and TVs are currently being installed in the main entrance, and work on the new fireplace is now also underway. Temporary walls have been removed, opening up the area and giving a clearer view of the transformation. We can't wait for the whole thing to come together!

Jayhawk Ink

Jayhawk Ink will receive several new enhancements to its space. A brand-new KU logo installed on the wall, and a large 90-inch screen TV will help to elevate the environment.
