Um, hi.

I'm here because I need more fic. I've been out of the fandom game for so long, it's hard for me to find it. So, if you have Avengers fic, please, link me to it!

I'm pretty into Clint/Natasha. Here's three of my favourite so far. Please don't judge me for looking for fic on fanfiction.net. The last time I was in fandom, that's where the good stuff was. Old habits die hard.

Clint and Natasha patch each other up, post-New York City battle. (In this fic, it's revealed that Natasha fought that whole fight on a broken ankle from the helicarrier explosion. IT MAKES SENSE.)

I don't know how many thoughts I have, but the ones I do have, I want to get out before I forget them.

Overall: I loved it.

There are, of course, many things to nitpick, like how they made up the scene where Harry reveals himself to Snape at Hogwarts, but I won't do that.

* God, this movie was PRETTY. Even if I find Radcliffe's face a little bit wonky, all of the close ups were great. Except they reminded me of how I'm annoyed that they never made him wear green contact lenses.

* OH! The camera when the trio was changing after jumping off the dragon and into the water, I thought that was a really cool shot. (And BOY ARE THEY PALE.)

* I'm quite QUITE glad that most of this movie focused on the Battle of Hogwarts stuff, because that was my favourite part in the book.

* I cried three times: first was when Harry walked in and saw the dead bodies (see below), second was during Snape's backstory ("After all this time?" "Always.") and the third was when Harry uses the resurrection stone and talks to his parents, Sirius and Remus. WAHHHHH I got pretty emotional and I think I was actually shoulder-heaving.

* Fred's death: by far the saddest part for me in the book. While I understand (I guess) why they cut out that whole scene in the movie, I think I missed it. I'm sad that's Fred's send off in the movie was basically, "oh, right, Fred's dead... and so are Lupin and Tonks." BUT GOD, THE WEASLEY'S FACES. UGH. SO HEARTBREAKING.

* NEVILLE FUCKING LONGBOTTOM. I FUCKING LOVE THAT KID. The whole movie I was waiting for the moment when Neville kills Nagini and for a while I thought it might not happen and I was like WHAT IS THIS FUCKERY? AND THEN IT HAPPENED AND HE MOTHERFUCKING SWOOPED IN LIKE A BADASS MOTHERFUCKER AND TOOK THE SNAKE'S MOTHERFUCKING HEAD OFF. GOD IT WAS SO BADASS. I also loved pretty much every other Neville scene.

* Also badass: Mrs. Weasley. The theatre clapped when she killed Bellatrix. Also also badass: Minerva McGonagall. I want to be her when I grow up.

* I feel like the movies sorely underused Luna. :( This movie was no exception. I feel like she was shoved in at some points just to remind us she was there. I would have loved to seen more of her. One of my favourite scenes in all of the books is when she commentates quidditch. I'm sad that never made it into the movies.

* OH MY GOD HOW LOLARIOUS WAS THE END SCENE. The make up was just SILLY, and Ginny had ridiculous hair. Ron and Hermione looked not even five years older and we were supposed to buy them having kids older than Harry's, lol. OH GOD DRACO'S BEARD. It was terrible. SO MUCH LOL. The whole theatre was cracking up.

So I'm watching Hawaii Five-0 from two weeks (?) ago, and I'M NOT EVEN LYING, Steve falls and breaks his arm, Danny comes to his rescue and then when Steve's getting taken away, this happens:

COME ON. I don't even 'ship slash, usually, but this show WRITES THE SLASH ITSELF.

(Steve and Danny. They're just so damn adorable! With their banter! And their partner-ness!)

I HATE EVERYTHING THAT CBS CHOOSES TO BE.

I mean, I knew it was coming. I just... WHY? WHY GET RID OF ALL OF THE AWESOME FEMALE CHARACTERS? WHYYYYYYYYYY NO EMILY I LOVE YOU.

This whole episode was pretty much about how awesome and fantastic and bad ass Emily Prentiss is(/was) and now she's gone. :(

I admit, they had me fooled when they said she "never made it off the table", and I immediately screamed and threw something at the TV for killing her chances of ever returning but then JJ gave her ~look~ to Hotch and I knew that they were pulling an Alexandra Cabot and sending her off into the land of being-dead-but-not-really for her friends' ~protection~.

This makes me slightly happier because it lends to the chance that we might see her again someday! ALSO IT GAVE ME GREAT PLOT BUNNIES BECAUSE THIS IS NOT HOW THE PRENTISS/REID FRIENDSHIP SHOULD HAVE ENDED.

(It's Reid. Of course he's going to suspect that this happened and he's going to look for her. Coming soon: my fic about this!)

UGHHH I am just so distraught over this whole mess. STOP GETTING RID OF ALL THE COOL CHICKS.

I'm re-watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy this weekend, and while watching with freakstop, she reminded me of a Livejournal post not TOO long ago where the comments became an epic spam of all the awesome LOTR movie stuff possible.

I can't remember which community had this post, only that it was to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the films being produced and there were PAGES of comments with all kinds of LOTR-movie pics, links, gifs, etc.

I really want to find this post again! Can anyone remember where it was?

I wish I had more cause to update this journal. Sometimes I feel bad for letting it go to waste, but, honestly, I'm not really at a point in my life where I want to be able to read a play-by-play recap of what I've been doing. *shrug* I promise I'll update if anything significant happens.

I've mostly just been playing LOTRO (my main dinged 65 last weekend! \o/) and watching stuff. I think my favourite show right now is Vampire Diaries. I don't know, guys. It's just so awesome and stuff. I also look forward to White Collar every week, now that it's back. Oh, and the last episode of Community was pretty amazing. I dropped a few shows from my regular viewing schedule, so it's a little more manageable now.

I've also been watching lots of movies lately, though I didn't watch anything this weekend, since I had to work yesterday.

Oh! I went to see The Decemberists last week in Toronto and they were fucking fantastic. Such a good show. Amazing performers, both in their actual physical performing and the way they interact with the audience. I would definitely see them again.

I finished reading Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins today. I'm done the trilogy now.

I wish I had the ability to put all of my thoughts into words about these books.

I highly suggest them to anyone who hasn't read them. Even though they're incredibly depressing, I loved them.

They're sitting with me in a way that only the best books do. I can't quite explain it.

If I had to pick one, it would be 'Eleanor Rigby'. But a close second and third are 'Yesterday' and 'In My Life'.

I can't explain exactly why I like them so much. I don't pretend to be a Beatles expert, because I'm not. I don't know the meanings behind many of their songs, and my exposure to some of their discography is very limited. But those three songs - I never turn them when they come up on shuffle.

I suppose they're all a little melancholy, and I tend to gravitate towards music in that vein. I love the violin sounds on 'Eleanor Rigby', and it just sounds like a story. I've oft considered both "Eleanor" and "Rigby" as potential baby names.

I was thinking a lot about Christmas today on my way home from work. I've finally reached the point in my life where I can enjoy Christmas in a completely non-material kind of way. It's not gifts, stockings or food. What I really love about Christmas is being with my family, listening to Christmas carols, sitting on the couch in my pyjamas, sipping hot cocoa and watching the lights on the tree sparkle. I don't think it could get better than that.

Since it's one month until Christmas, I'm going to upload a song or two for your listening pleasure every day (or every few days, more likely) until December 25th.

Hope everyone has/had a spooky weekend! The rest of my day will be spent watching a few of the bajillion or two Halloween movies/specials on TV. I'd like to say I'll be watching The Walking Dead tonight, but I can't stay up that late! Tomorrow is the first of the month & a Monday, so it'll be busy. I set it to tape, though.

Last night we did The Rocky Horror Picture Show as usual and the crowd was pretty good! They threw stuff at the right time & there were some good lines yelled out. The film reel went out twice, so that was a bit annoying, but I guess it's charming that they still use their reel from the 70's.

- Okay, I was really hoping that Jeremy would become a vamp. I think it would be awesome. But maybe that's just me. I like Jeremy. I want to snug him.

- Speaking of snugging, DAMON! Oh, what a woobie he's become! Poor vamp boy. *pats him* My heart did actually break for him when both Katherine and Elena told him the same thing. He just wants to be loved!

- KATHERINE. She's awesome! I want more Damon/Katherine wall sex, but I don't know if it will happen now that he knows that she never loved him (or did she and she's lying?). However, WHY DO ALL THE ~LADEEZ WANT STEFAN? CLEARLY DAMON IS THE HOTTER BROTHER. GEEZ.

- OMG WTF POLAR BEAR @ Damon killing Jeremy. lauresque and I had to pick our jaws up off the floor (yes, Laura watches it now.. I have prevailed! muahaha). I didn't even think of the ring. I was all, "yay! vamp!Jeremy!" only to be disappointed by the ring. But, DUDE, I did not see that coming. Poor Jeremy. Poor Damon.

- Soooo Caroline is a vamp, y/y?

- Laura has now given me a mental image of Damon and Alaric (whom this episode was lacking!) cooking us breakfast in their underwear. CANNOT UNSEE.

All in all, quite a satisfying premiere!

I ~~may have~~ totally plowed through all the aired episodes of White Collar in the last few days. I think I watched 7 episodes on Wednesday. Heh.

I love Neal. I love Peter. I love Peter and Neal's relationship. I love Mozzie. I love basically everything that this show chooses to be. I even love Kelly Kapowski (I refuse to call her anything else).

This show is really random. It has surprise!people like Mark Sheppard, Aidan Quinn and Jeffrey Dean Morgan's baby mama.

It also has MATT BOMER. UNF so hard. I just discovered he was Tru's hot paramedic boyfriend Luc on Tru Calling. LOL

WHAT HOW ARE THEY SO ADORABLE?

I finally went and got my beginner's drivers license today. I'd been thinking about it for a while, but I figured it really is time that I learned to drive. I had my beginner's previously, I got it in 2004, but it expired last year so I had to re-do the whole process. I just had to do a written test in order to be granted my license, and I passed, so now I can legally drive as long as there's a fully licensed driver with four years of driving experience in the car with me.

However, I really do not know how to drive. I've never driven. It's quite sad, really. But I've asked my Mom if she or Dad would come up here a few Sundays and let me drive around the mall parking lot in their Jeep. I'm going to be going to driving school, but probably not until I've at least had a little experience driving so I don't get into the car on my first lesson and go, "hurr durr".

I think driving school and learning to drive will sate my nostalgia for being in school, at least for a little while. I miss being a student, which is weird, because I was really excited to start being a real grown-up. I've come to realize that it sucks.

Something that annoyed me when I went to get my license is that I had to show them my passport as identification, and I signed my passport when I got it in 2006. However, since 2006, my signature has drastically changed. It's mostly due to my working at the bank -- I have to sign many things every day -- and I explained that to the woman, but the only way they would issue me my license was if I signed the way it was on my passport. So I had to sign my full, juvenile signature and that's what is going to be on my license now. That's annoying because if I ever have to show ID and sign for something, say, AT A BANK, then I'll have to carefully sign this stupid signature that I don't ever use. FRUSTRATING! Also: my MasterCard didn't work when I went to pay at the testing centre, and then it got declined at two other places, so I phoned them and they told me that they hadn't identified me properly when I activated my card, so they blocked it. THANKS FOR TELLING ME, ASSHOLES. So the girl says she took the block off and then I went to use the card, and it got declined AGAIN so I phoned back and they said that it wasn't working because I had had too many declines in one day. THANKS FOR THAT. It's fixed now, but, man, that was annoying.

Anyway, the last few nights I watched the BBC's new series Sherlock, and, well, it was pretty awesome. The last 10 minutes of the third episode were kind of OMGWTFBBQ and I haven't had that feeling about a show in a while. I was really glad to read that it got renewed and that they'll be making more episodes. Now I only have to wait until next year. Damn you, weirdly short and slow filming British shows!

Hai guyz, I'm Luna!

So far, she's pretty quiet and chill. She pigged out on the hay I gave her, because I don't think her former owners ever gave her any! (It's a staple of guina pig diets!) But now she has as much hay as she wants. She also ate a leaf of romaine lettuce, a baby carrot and a slice of red pepper. I had to figure out which kind of vegetables she likes. I'm going to give her another leaf of lettuce and a cherry tomato tonight, so she goes to bed with a full tummy.

The only thing that concerns me so far is that she hasn't had any water. Her water bottle is there, but she hasn't had a drink of it yet, and it's really hot in here! I have to keep an eye on her, to see if she'll drink any. If she doesn't, I'll have to figure out why not. :( If she doesn't drink any by the time I go to bed tonight, I'll give her a bowl of water to see if she'll drink that.

Right now, she's just laying in the corner of her cage. I put a box in her cage earlier to see if she'd like to go inside it, but she wasn't having it and kept pushing the box out of the way, so I took it out. I think I'm going to get her a pigloo or some wooden logs, though, because she should have something in her cage to hide under. She seems to really like the corners.

She also isn't very vocal. I haven't heard her make any sound except when she purred when I pet and held her. At least that's a good sign!

I tried to check out what state her nails are in, but she's still a little skittish when it comes to being held, so I'll try to take another look in a few days.

I'm going to give her her first floor time tonight, and we'll see how that goes.

So, I got a hit off of someone who is giving away a guinea pig PLUS the cage and all accessories for free, due to having to move unexpectedly. I'm thinking of taking this one, provided they get back to me on the age and health of the piggie. (It would save me buying all of the things.)

However, this one is female, so I need your help again! What should I name a female guinea pig?! (This way, I can have names picked out for both genders.)

(The pig in question is black and white, if it makes any difference. I don't have a picture of her.)

For the last few weeks, I've been really wanting a pet of my own. Both of my roommates have pets, and I've felt left out. I've also felt like I wish I had something to care for so that I have something else in my life to bring happiness.

Since freakstop got her guinea pig, Ginger, I've really warmed to the idea of getting one for myself. They're really cute, relatively low maintenance, and you can play with them. Plus they make funny noises.

I've been thinking about this a LOT, so this is definitely not a snap decision.

On Kijiji, there are a lot of people who give them away for free. I found one such boy that I think I am in love with, from just this one photo. He comes from a home that is full of other animals, so he's used to them. The woman who breeds the guinea pigs seems really respectable (has her own website with information on parents, her home, etc.) and she answered my e-mails promptly. I told her that I wouldn't be able to pick him up right away, and she's agreed to hold him for me for a while. This is him:

I have to get him a cage, bedding, food, etc. before I can bring him home, but I am really excited! I am going on vacation in three weeks, but I told my mom about the situation and, being as she thinks guinea pigs are hilarious, she's agreed to take him for the five days that I'm away.

He's about two months old. And I need a name for him! This is where you guys come in. What should I call this little dude?
