um. I think I'm officially bored. I have burned through the entire third season of In Treatment (I was really really late, I know) in, like, three days. I definitely liked it better than the second season but not as much as the first season. I mean, Adele >>> Gina, for sure, but I still miss her. I truly enjoyed Sunil's sessions, but for me, the season 1 patients were the best (Sophie <3).

dois. I have also completely fallen in love with Miranda. The seasons are so short, though. I cannot wait for more. When will the third season air? Anyone knows?

três. I am enjoying Love Bites. I really like to meet new random people every week, but I'm afraid it will grow tiresome. But then again we have the three main characters anchoring everything and I would guess their storylines will somehow develop as well.

I really wanted to do a whole bunch of picspams for picspammy's latest troopes challenge, but, alas, it was not to be. It was a very busy month for me. Though I couldn't let such a fun challenge pass me by, though, so here we go.

I picked the Man Hug Troope.

Long time no see, huh?

Okay, so.

(um) World cup started today. Go Brazil? *shrugs* I've never been so not into a World Cup as I am right now. Whatever. Gotta bigger things to think about right now.

(dois) TV finale season has come and gone and I haven't even talked about any of them. Boooo me. I suck sometimes. Anyway, I really liked Lost's finale, even though I haven't talked about much it with anyone. Mostly because I don't want anyone busting my bubble.

And I cried like a baby during Glee's, even though SECTIONALS >>> REGIONALS. (Also, the competition doesn't make sense to me at all. I stand by the thought that they should have had a State competition before Regionals.) Predictions for next year? Sure. We find out VA lost Nationals to whoever, so they can introduce a new team to be ND's nemesis. Also, ND will win Regionals mostly because VA is gonna suck without Shelby and Jesse. What I really wanted, though? Remember how VA won't let that guy who was bringing Terri pie graduate because he was the only one who could do triple flips or whatever? Yeah, they won't let Jesse graduate either (mostly because I will miss Groff, I'm not ashamed to say it). Something else I would really like too is a Rachel+VA number at some point, even though I don't see how that could happen after Funk (but a girl can dream, right?).

(três) At this point, I'm 95% sure I will be moving to Europe in approximately two months. Most likely to Germany. How crazy is that? I kinda couldn't sleep last night as realization came. Two months! I pretty much wanna scream all the time. I'm equal parts excited and scared and I have this crazy nervous energy right now, it's just crazy. Crazy.

(quatro) I need really good scenes from movies of people (the more famous the actor, the better) downing a shot and making a face afterwards. Anyone wanna help me with that? I just need to be reminded of a few scenes, that's all (youtube links for them would be great, but it's not a deal breaker). It's for a university project, so I would really appreciate the help.

5 underrated Friends episodes

Friends is that kind of TV show that has so many episodes it's hard to pick favorites. But, when we do pick, we all end up picking pretty close to the same ones --- usually the "classic" episodes. So, for something different, I thought about those less popular favorites of mine. I'll start off by saying this is not my top 5 Friends episodes. At all. These are not considered "classics" and they are never on anyone's favorites list. BUT, even though they are not my top 5, I still love these episodes to death and I wish more people liked them.

So, without further ado, for picspammy's Five challenge:

#5: The One With The Red Sweater
It got number five because it's probably the most popular between the five.
Favorite scene: Joey's slow reaction at the very end is just priceless.
Favorite lines:
Chandler: You opened all the presents without me? I thought we were supposed to do that together!
Monica: You kissed another woman?
Chandler: Call it even?
Monica: Okay!

#4: The One With Rachel's Sister
I'm one of the rare ones who like Jill more than Amy. Gah, I wish Reese had come back like she was supposed to.
Favorite scene: Jill knocks on the door and the six friends are confused over who could it possibly be.
Favorite lines:
Rachel: So what did you do that made dad cut you off?
Jill: Okay, I bought a boat.
Monica: You bought a boat?
Jill: Yeah but it wasn't for me, it was for a friend.

#3: The One Where Old Yeller Dies
My Ross and Rachel shipper heart just loves the whole thing, really.
Favorite scene: Ross and Rachel say I love you for the first time in the middle of a fight.
Favorite lines:
Phoebe: What is happening to the world? I mean, because E.T. leaves, and... and Rocky loses, Charlotte dies...
Richard: Charlotte who?

Okay, so I do know one person who lists this one as her absolute favorite episode: my mom. But I'm pretty sure she's the only one. Plus, she doesn't really count, because she has not seen every episode.

Monica: Can we have our drinks please, waiter..er.. tress!

#1: The One With Two Parties
This episode does not fail in cracking me up every. single. time. I watch it.
Favorite scene: The whole sequence in the end, when both of Rachel's parents want to leave at the same time and the gang is trying to get them to leave without seeing each other.
Favorite lines:
Rachel: Both of them are here? Both of them?
Chandler: Well, we could count again.

5 young actresses that should guest star on Glee

Glee has only had half a season and people already think they are over-doing the whole guest-star thing.
While I can see their point, I can't help but think it would be pretty awesome if these girls made the cut sometime.

So, for picspammy's top 5 challenge, I present to you...

#5: Tina Marjorino
I loved her in Veronica Mars, and I hear she is (was?) lead singer in a band? Sounds like it could really work out well.

#4: Brittany Snow
She proved in Hairspray that she's a pretty good singer and dancer. She could totally pull it off.

#3: Kay Panabaker
I might not know much (or anything, really) about her, but have you guys seen last year's remake of Fame?
She was my favorite thing in it. Also, also: see her rocking Tina's blue hair? :)

#2: Kristen Bell
Granted, I might not like most of her interviews, but credit where credit is due:
that first season of Veronica Mars kicked ass and a lot of it was because of her.
Also, we all know she can be hilarious. Plus: musical theater background.
I feel like she could fit really well in there.

#1: Autumn Reeser
She single-hadedly saved the last season of The OC, so we know she's really great
and she has an incredible comedic time. I never heard her sing, though.
But when she twitted that she loved the show because it reminded her of
her show choir days, I was sold. How perfect is that?
And, finally, can you imagine how awesome would Rachel Berry X Taylor Townsend be? I'll tell you: very.

Yes, it is 3AM and I'm still up! Because I'm currently on a huge TOEFL high! I just got my results back and I got a 108 out of 120 points! And that's a freaking awesome score! So, yeah! I've even called my mom! I know, I know, I should have waited until tomorrow, but I just needed someone to celebrate with me!

Now let's lay off the exclamation point fest. Anyway, yeah. Pretty happy about that.

In other news, I didn't break my own vows and I *did* manage to go to the gym everyday last week. Honestly, I feel great. I'll try to do it again this week, but I might have to skip one day because of my uncle who is in town and probably will want to go to dinner or something. I'm really hoping it's not on one of the days of my favorite classes, though.

Plans for tomorrow include: make reservations for my birthday dinner, spend half of the afternoon at Starbucks (I'm craving a toffee nut frapuccino and, damn it, I deserve it), get my brother's ipod from the repair, go to a few stores and see if I can find myself a new dress for my birthday, and go to the gym.

But right now I couldn't care less about any of it because I got a 108 on my toefl! Yay!

I'm currently watching American Idol. Weird (for me), right? It's only because it's Cheno's episode, though, so I guess I'm justified. She looks so pretty and adorable! I plan on watching NPH's episode as well, so. It's also a good way to kill time until the SAG awards are on.

Today I spent the whole day cleaning out my closet. It was exhausting, but oh so needed. I'm not completely done yet, though. I still have to go through winter clothes. Man, this stuff sucks.

In other news, I worked out this week! Believe it or not, I actually went to the gym three times. Next week, I'm planing on going every day. Well, actually, I can't go on monday because it's a holiday in here, but everyday after that, yes.

Also, my mom, brother and grandma have bought their tickets to come here for my birthday, so that's set. I have to plan what we're gonna do and make restaurant reservations and everything, but at least now I know it's happening so I can prepare.

Plans for tomorrow include going through the rest of my clothes and also hitting the mall with a friend and possibly going to the movies. Not necessarily in that order.

My Engish exam went pretty well, I think. The results will be out in a couple of weeks. Meanwhile I gotta prepare the rest of my applications. Boring, I know, but somehow I'm excited!

Trying to convince myself to get out of the apartment today. I want to go be with the three-dimensional people, but I'm oh so lazy. I should try and get my little brother's ipod fixed. I also really need to find the will to work out. Really need to.

Mom was here for the day (long story) and we went Christmas shopping at this mall a little farther away from my place, but, man, can you say cheap? We got presents for all of my cousins. Plus, I bought so many cute dresses! I am *this close* to taking pictures of the dresses and posting here because I have pretty much no girl friends in this city and I totally fell like being girly and talking about my new clothes. [/consumist]

Wow, Christmas shopping. And the mall had their Christmas decoration up and everything. Wow. Seriously, this year? Gone. And I barely noticed it.

Well, there's still time for something to turn up great for me, so... fingers crossed.

And, finally, Glee.

I've heard some people didn't really like this episode, but, you guys... it really got to me. It made me cry! And I very rarely cry with TV shows. But this episode? Yeah, it got me.

#1: So, we found out Quinn's dad is a jerk, though we already knew that from Gilmore Girls. (I really had to say this, sorry!)

#2: I also was kinda freaked about by Quinn's eyebrows during all her crying --- her face was all wonky, guys! She has cried prettily before, right? Why did her face have to be weird this time?

#3: Okay, Puck's revelation to Mercedes? Kinda made me mad at her. I was hoping she wouldn't be so quick to judge him but she was barely shocked and then she was already taking Quinn's side WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED. What the hell, Mercedes? Jumping to conclusions like that? Did an old friend of ours called Veronica Mars re-incarnate on you or something?

#4: I *love* Sarah Drew, but Suzy Pepper freaked me out. A LOT.

#5: Terry was actually funny in this episode. How would have thought?

#6: The speech Will gave Rachel after she apologized? It was perfect. And I wanted to hug her. And I cryed a little bit.

#7: And then, Brittany did! (hug Rachel, I mean) During Lean on Me! Which just makes her all kinds of awesome. And that's not even considering she thinks a ballad is a male duck and the square root of four is rainbows. I love Brittany right now.

Which brings me to: #8: couldn't she have been the only dumb kid in this club? Did they really have to make Finn dumb too? Because I love her, but he is so annoying when he's being stupid. Guh. Thankfully, he was more on the naive side in this episode, which actually works for me.

#9: But then again, I kinda cried when he was singing I'll Stand By You to his little girl, so.

#10: And Lean On Me? I was bawling my eyes out. SO MUCH LOVE.

someday: a LoVe in season 4 EP

I signed up to make fanmixes for the gift exchange over at vm_redux and it's time to post! Yay!
So, my giftee was montisello and I got her two gifts! This is the first one.

The prompt was: what would season 4 of Veronica Mars have in store for LoVe?

So, what *would* I like to see in a season 4? Basically, I would like for Veronica to actually understand the importance of Logan in her life. So, let's see...

After the whole cafeteria fight and *the look*, I would like to see Logan going back to his break-up (309) mind set. He would be thinking something along these lines:

I hope you're with someone who makes you
Feel safe in your sleeping tonight
I won't kill myself, trying to stay in your life

Even though he probably would still be thinking about V.

Days swiftly come and go
I'm dreaming of her
She's seeing other guys

During the summer, she is in the FBI training (rolls eyes). He doesn't want to be alone in Neptune so he goes somewhere fun. By the end of summer, he has met someone new, someone he really likes (hmm... maybe someone called Rebecca? lol).

Sweet beginnings do arise
She knows I was wrong

She's not from Neptune, though, so we, shippers, don't have to see Logan's new girl so much. LOL. But, we would actually get to see him looking happy for a change! Now, V would be still with Piz (whatever), but I just have to believe she would realize the guy just didn't know her at all.

And she misses having someone who actually really knows her. So she dumps Piz and sort of toys with the idea of getting Logan back, though not openly since he is happy with someone else. But he knows V, so he sees right through her (which just proves her point, really). Plus, he remembers his relationship with V well enough to be all like:

Clueless chump you seem to think I am
So easily led astray,
An errant dog who occasionally escapes and needs a shorter leash, then
Why the fuck would you want me back? [3]

So she has to prove to him that's not how she sees him at all. She might not be able to say these things to him, but she knows he's the only one who can save her. Hell, he's always the one who's literally saving her anyway, he might as well be the one to do it metaphorically too. And, by this point, whatever mystery she is investigating this season should pick up and most likely Logan probably saves her once again.

Meanwhile, Logan is actually thinking about leaving Neptune behind. It's not like he has anything keeping him there. Plus, he wants to be with the out-of-town girl. V finds out and asks him to stay in Neptune with her.

(...) Do we make it to the sequel?

Somehow, he doesn't give her an immediate answer --- I'm not quite sure why, just... roll with it. Anyway, there we have our end of season cliffhanger. :P What? In this world, the quality would be back to s1 level and we would have a 5th season. :)

Color in Eternal Sunshine - a picspam

Last semester I wrote a paper on Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and the post-modern period. I drew quite a few points of comparison and the one that stuck with me the most was the color of the film, basically because I had never noticed it. And then I rewatched the movie while writing the paper and it just smacked me right in the face: the movie is pretty much monotone --- Joel's world is monotone --- until Clementine walks in. In fact, Joel's world is pretty much in cold grayish colors, and Clem brings bright, hot colors. That's why she jumps right out of the screen like she's the only thing in Technicolor in a black and white world.

So, for picspammy's color challenge, I present to you...

Logan x Logan: a picspam

Let me start this by saying I've never done a picspam before. So, you know, this is my first one and it, like, sucks. I also confess I never thought it would be this hard. And time consuming. How you guys do this regularly I'll never know.

That being said...

I think Greek might have a Veronica Mars complex --- or, better yet, a Logan Echolls complex. I've seen people comparing him to both Cappie and Evan Chambers. Sure, Evan looks a lot like Logan, and he has daddy issues too, but the Logan-ness is not really there. Cappie has a lot of the vibe and much of the snark, but he's not really tortured, which could kinda equal a Logan-lite, if you will. But that's not really enough. Even though I would lean more over Cappie than Evan as far as a Logan-vibe goes, I actually realized someone else in the Greek world might have more in common with our favorite obligatory psychotic jackass. Who, you might ask? Well, Ms Logan herself.

So, for picspammy's compare and contrast challenge, I present to you...

Oh, yeah, spoilers for Veronica Mars up to 202 Driver's Ed and Greek up to 201 Brothers and Sisters.

When we first meet Logan, he is a spoiled rich boy who is being a jackass to Veronica. In the Greek pilot, Rebecca is a spoiled rich girl who sleeps with Casey's boyfriend, Evan. They start off as antagonists to the main character. We can't help but hate them.

Logan to Veronica: What do you say to a little hootch, huh? What’s the matter,
aren’t you your mother’s daughter? Now there was a woman who could drink. Hey, what’s
she up to nowadays, maybe she’ll join us. Do you know where she is? Any clue?

Casey: I found out you kind of had sex with Evan Chambers.
Rebecca: I did. Rush night. And it was amazing!
Casey: Ok, please stop talking. Here's the thing, Evan Chambers is my boyfriend.
Rebecca: Oh my God! How awkward for you.

Logan is the son of two actors, Aaron and Lynn Echolls, which pretty much secures his status as 09er king. Rebecca is the daughter of Senator Ken Logan, which makes her the most wanted pledge for ZBZ.

Veronica: And let’s not forget Logan Echolls. His dad makes
twenty million a picture. You probably own his action figure.

Frannie: Rebecca Logan, daughter of our fair state senator, is coming
here this fall and she's rushing. I want her. Having a senator's daughter
can do so much for us.

While Rebecca never feels loved enough, Logan actually gets physically abused by his dad.

Trina to Logan: So now you’re worried about Dad’s welfare. Isn’t he the big
bad wolf? Cigarette burns and broken noses. Oh, the stories you used to tell.

Rebecca: I used to see everything in terms of whether it would piss off my parents.

They are both gorgeous and they are not afraid to express their sexuality. When their shows start, neither character is even close to being a virgin anymore. In fact, they have both being called sluts (playfully or not).

Logan: Never underestimate the size of my cojones.

Cappie: You're just noticing that poster now?
Rebecca: Let's just say I haven't been in position to notice the poster until now.

Rebecca's bra-less adventure becomes a viral video; Logan's bumfight makes it to The Smoking Gun website. Needless to say, their parents are not happy about it.

Dick to Logan: Gotta check out “The Smoking Gun” website. Dude, you’re famous.

Random girl: Oh my God! That is Rebecca Logan! Pledge gone wild at spring break!

These kids like to lose clothes when they're drunk: Rebecca takes her bra off on a stage during spring break and Logan gets so drunk he shows up without pants to a school dance.

Logan: Everybody Wang Chung tonight! Wang Chung or I'll kick your ass!

Rebecca: Hey, Cap! I'm getting rowdy!

Logan falls for Veronica, Rebecca falls for Cappie, and the audience start to see a whole new side to them...

Logan: It’s okay. You know, it kinda let’s me off the hook,
you know? I don’t know, I don’t have to feel guilty anymore.
Veronica: Feel guilty about what?
Logan: Moving on.

Rebecca: My answer is yes.
Cappie: Was the question wanna get naked?
Rebecca: You asked if I would go on a date with you, I've given it some
thought and I'm ready. Let's take this public. Like way public. Like,
let's go outside and make out on ZBZ's lounge.

Even though we hated them at first (see #01), eventually we started thinking they're not so bad afterall. And then they quickly became one of the most interesting characters of their respective shows.
