We woke up in a winter wonderland:

It turns out, though, that we went to sleep in the very same:

Yesterday’s lilacicles bottom right
We’ve had a very snowy winter so far. I sent that photo to southern daughter who occasionally wants me not to look at her weather report… My caption was, “Uh, ‘1 – 3 inches’ is a little fatter than it used to be!”
She replied, “[Fiance] is jealous!” I know that she is not, because all of this is precisely how she ended up moving down south! I’m glad one of us made it there permanently. I’m not checking her weather today.
We also awoke to the news that Bo Nix broke his ankle in OT! What?? I saw the Broncos win-interview and he seemed okay??
It turns out, though, that we went to sleep in the very same. (Son texted me about an hour after the game.)
Honestly, I could live without snow and football, but I could live even better without the rest of the news we have woken up to for so long. We have to deal with all of it.
At any rate, here we in New England are: New England Patriots vs Houston Texans at 3. And thanks to local daughter’s invite to her Prime Video and piggyback Paramount And thanks to my indoor antenna, we will see the ABC game on my obnoxiously smart tv.
I just checked weather conditions (and *sun*set) for Foxborough…
😩
Again I say, we have to deal with all of it.
Go Pats!! (My apologies to Texans. Sorta.)
We have to deal with the other news today, too. We can neither munch nor nap it away. How, though? How do we deal with what is way beyond our input?
Beyond prayer for a conversion of a truly ugly heart and a R-egrowth of spine in Congress not to even mention the Court, what can I do?
Bottom line, a prayer of petition must always be followed by an action of spirit — it has to take on flesh, like Adam gaining Eve, or there is stasis. (And “You yourselves give them something to eat!”)
Hence, I think that all someone like myself can do is whatever is the very opposite of an angry orange heart and its spineless and ever more violent support system.
Go, Greenland (and Europe)!
Go, Minnesota!
Go, Dems!
Go, me! Go, you!
