UESP advisors are here to support various types of students both at OSU and considering OSU. Use the drop downs below to find the category and instructions that are most aligned with you!

Which sounds most like you?

In UESP, students meet with their Academic Advisors each term to navigate major exploration. Through this conversation, students will leave with a proposed term class list and have their registration hold removed.

Instructions to make an appointment:

Go to Beaver Hub and log in using the student login
Click on your "Success Team" menu item at the top. You should see your primary UESP advisor (Kerry Kincanon, Shannon Shivers, Adam Hinkley, Michele McAuliffe, April Winz, or Carla Harcleroad there)
- You'll also see this person listed on your MyDegrees Checklist as your primary advisor
Click "Make an Appointment" to choose a day/time that works for you.

Below are the types of appointments UESP Students can make. If you are looking to declare your major, please use this page for instructions to schedule with your new academic college. Note: The Change of Major appointment type as an appointment type for a UESP advisor is for students looking to declare UESP as their major. You'll need to meet with the advisor for your desired new major and declare with them.

General Advising	30 minutes	Planning for next term’s or year’s classes, internships/work experience, add or change option, academic support
Academic Standing (AW/PR)	60 minutes	Students who require or would like in depth discussions about their academic warning or probation status
Petitions and Forms	30 minutes	Use this if you need support completing a petition or form

If you see "New Student Onboarding" as an appointment type, please do not choose that one. It is for incoming students new to OSU.

If you are currently enrolled at OSU-Corvallis or OSU-Ecampus and thinking about a change of major or just want to talk with one of our advisors, you can schedule with either Adam, Michele, April or Shannon through a temporary connection in their Beaver Hub Profile link in their info further down this page. When you schedule use the "Change of Major" appointment type, regardless of whether you want to join UESP or not.

Congrats on your admission to OSU! Advising for new students is part of OSU's New Student Onboarding process. Click here for more details on signing up for this process. Registration for classes requires participation in New Student Onboarding.

Summer Admits: If you are just taking summer classes, you don't need to go through New Student Onboarding, but if you are taking summer classes and intend to continue into the fall and beyond, you will need to participate at some point. If you are a summer admit and can participate in spring term New Student Onboarding, that is ideal! If not, you can participate in summer.
