DAILY SPECIAL is a dimensional color font that simulates
the small plastic letters used on felt letterboards. It recalls
the prefabricated letterforms you might see used on the
specials board at a diner, or the coffee menu at a café, or
the directory of an office building. It was developed for
Letterfolk, a producer of elegant letterboards for home decor,
and based on their house style. Its interior edges are crisper
and more “graphic” than what you would typically see from a
3D bevel effect, taking what is otherwise a fairly workaday
typographic style and making it pop.
