Pushing Daisies tutorial.

Step #1.
Crop your image the way that you want. I didn't sharpen it or anything, but if you want to, go ahead.

Step #2.
Duplicate your base and set it to screen, 100% opacity.

Step #3.
Add a selective color layer with the following:
Reds: +8; -16; +21; 0.
Yellows: +18; -28; 0; 0.
Neutrals: +14; -8; -22; +10.

Step #4.
Another selective color layer:
Reds: -43; +29; +72; 0.
Yellows: -11; -12; +24; +14.
Neutrals: 0; -5; -8; +10.

Step #5.
Add a layer filled with #160004 and set it to exclusion, 100% opacity.

Step #6.
Another fill layer, this time with #e0e0dc. Set this one to linear burn at 50% opacity.

Step #7.
Add a hue/saturation adjustment layer. I upped the saturation to +16 for this icon.

Step #8.
Add a brightness/contrast layer and set the contrast to +6.

Step #9.
Yet another selective coloring layer with the following settings:
Reds: +44; +11; +34; +8.
Yellows: 0; +38; +19; -18.
Cyans: -100; +100; +100; 0.
Whites: -100; -26; -84; +100.
Neutrals: 0; -22; -17; +9.

Step #10.
Add a brightness/contrast layer; brightness +8, contrast +17.

Step #11.
Add a color balance layer with these settings:
Midtones: +8; -10; -16.
Highlights: -13; +12; +100.

Step #12.
Duplicate the color balance layer from step #11 and set the opacity to 20%.

Now add some textures, brushes, etc. and you're done! I also blurred the background a bit on this one.

Comments are great, and I'd love to see what you come up with! =)
