the first time i travelled to texas i opted to use the mens room at the airport and the two guys in there freaked out and were like “youre in the wrong room miss.” another time i went in an empty mens room and a guy walked in and stopped to triple check the bathroom sign.

maker responsible for all unnecessary sex scenes
- Salo isn’t a horror film“Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom” is No. 9 on Variety’s list of 100 Greatest Horror Films of All Time. See what else made the cut here: variety.com/lists/best-hor…
- Replying to @weardjupitergrowing up i also remember plenty of drunk women jumping into the mens room at sports events because the line was shorter. or parents accompanying children into either room made most sense. bathroom bans are so stupid when in practice gender segregation is generally unnecessary
- Replying to @weardjupiterto follow up on this, the “worst case scenario” of someone assaulting a person in a bathroom is already against the law, and that happens regardless (and is far more likely to happen to a trans person). you cant legislate on grounds that another persons existence is triggering.
- My biggest pet peeve as a trans filmmaker and cinephile is the suppression of our history in the medium. Trans cinema has been around forever and there is a beautiful and essential lineage to work like what I'm doing in my new movie. Look at this SOV flick from THIRTY YEARS AGO!
00:00 - I Saw the TV Glow ending discourse so lame. It’s a horror movie and it goes for leaving you with a visceral emotion instead of closure, which is obviously an intentional artistic choice to leave you in an ambiguous state. I found it personally very effective. Good movie!
- Doing my duty on the Letterboxd page for Dan Olson’s I Don’t Know James Rolfe
- Replying to @weardjupiterHis book JUSTINE is about his spiritual suffering and cancellation. JULIETTE is about all the kinky sex he would have as a woman and how much of a cool girl he’d have been. 120 DAYS is a 4chan greentext. De Sade is *the* blueprint for the modern trans e-girl.
- Replying to @weardjupiterThe thing you need to understand about the Marquis de Sade is that his work is a rebellion against God for making him be born a man
- Replying to @weardjupiterthe hard truth is that nothing needs to be gender segregated (bathrooms, sports, prisons, etc). gender doesnt make the whole of an individual and systems can work better when you leave room for nuance (sports tiers based on ability, etc). all this does is enforce sex stereotypes.
- okay, this one was my breaking point lmaoThis is unreal. Someone just reimagined Tarkovsky using AI-driven camera motion. What if the camera moved — but still felt like it belonged? Let me show you what that looks like:
00:00 - Some trans filmmakers want to make movies the cut deep into the nature of trans identity and explore the complexities of queer experience. Personally, I want to make movies where a trans girl can simply be a cool girl with a gun and then there’s a dirt bike chase.
