Meet Nicola, she studied engineering & now she's in charge of our leak detector dogs, detecting leaks in underground water mains, where usual methods of detection aren’t as effective. 💦🐶👩🏭

Happy birthday, Kep! 🎉🎂🐕
Australia's first leak detection dog, Kep, turns 2 today. To celebrate, her owner has planned a special surprise for the birthday girl - a juicy, raw scotch fillet steak 🥩
Wanju (welcome) #Kambarang, the Nyoongar season of birth. It brings warmer, drier weather and a dramatic display of new plant and animal life. Now's the time to see wildflowers in bloom, snakes and reptiles coming out of hibernation and swooping koolbardies (magpies).
“If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water.” - Loren Eiseley ✨💦

Happy Birthday, #Kepthewaterdog 🐾🐾
Kep is an English Springer Spaniel and the first canine member of our team 🐾
She uses her keen sense of smell to sniff out leaks in underground water mains. And with over 34,000 km of mains state-wide, Kep's work goes a long way in helping us save water.
Australia’s first leak detection dog Kep has snouted out her largest leak discovery yet.
Sent to uncover why water was collecting near a very long buried pipeline, near Moorawa, our expertly trained springer spaniel isolated estimated leak rates of over 150L water per minute.
Wanju (welcome) #Birak, the season of the young. Hot morning easterlies are followed by cool afternoon sea breezes, signalling the start of the first summer ☀️ A time of growth for young animals, the clockwork wind patterns made it a traditional burning time for the #Noongar 🔥
