This weekend eight children were reported killed and a further 17 injured in five different locations in the Gaza Strip, while in the West Bank, a seven-month-old boy died after being shot.

- Failure to meet children’s basic needs in Gaza is trapping them in an endless cycle of suffering.
- In the past seven days alone, despite an agreed ceasefire on 17 April 2026, at least 59 children have reportedly been killed or injured in Lebanon.
- The recent attacks in Mali that started on 25 April have shown, yet again, that it is children who are paying the highest price of ongoing violence. Initial reports indicate that civilians, including children, were killed and injured during the attacks.
- Currently, 2.2 million children aged 6 months to five years old are suffering from acute malnutrition, an increase of 100,000 cases when compared to six months ago in South Sudan.
