A few months ago, Sega management announced their plan to outsource QA and part of Localization in a move that would significantly impact our workforce.

WE WON!
We just won our union election 91-26.
Our 200+ member union is now the LARGEST multi-department union of organized workers in the ENTIRE gaming industry.
So excited to celebrate this win & head to the bargaining table w/ @SEGA to continue building this company we love!
Today we, a supermajority of workers at our @SEGA of America Irvine headquarters, are excited to announce that we are unionizing as the Allied Employees Guild Improving SEGA—AEGIS—in partnership with @code_cwa. #UnionizeSEGA
We are disappointed that Sega management has decided to interfere in our democratic right to organize leading up to the NLRB mailing out our ballots on June 16. 🔽
Excited for these new titles? So are we!
We are still fighting for our rights, and for our workers in QA, Localization and beyond, to ensure these games can be as great as possible for audiences beyond Japan.

We believe that the passionate, hardworking people at our Irvine offices deserve a say in our working conditions, and we are joining together to advocate for change in our workplace.
This is our vision for the path forward. #UnionizeSEGA
We're so grateful for your support! Over 4300 Sega fans signed a petition asking Sega of America leadership to be neutral towards our organizing. Yesterday, a group of us shared these signatures with management and requested again that they respect our right to organize. ✊
We hoped that Sega management would bargain in good faith, but instead they've shown disregard to status quo and are threatening to outsource the jobs of a majority of the workforce in our QA and Localization departments, which is up to 40% of our unit. (2/3)

Instead of living up to Sega’s values of “respecting our employees’ right to organize for labor-management consultation,” management has initiated a campaign in response to us exercising our rights. We call on management to cease their anti-union campaign and be neutral.
In spite of this, we remain committed to fighting for our coworkers, and for the betterment of our industry. In the face of mass layoffs that continue to happen across gaming companies, we stand united and in solidarity with those affected.
