    Barry Cryer quoted in The Times Diary just 3 weeks ago: "Along with his son Bob, he has started a podcast called 'Now, Where Were We?' and Barry is astonished by the format. 'He was amazed,' says Bob. 'He couldn’t believe anything existed that paid less than radio.'" Dude.

    To fellow broadcasters sniffy about @Rylan getting the Radio 2 gig: yes, it's a shame external fame now seems required by the radio industry. But he's not just a 'sleb'- he saw opportunities available in reality TV and ran with them, & has proven himself on ITV & C5. Good on him.
