Three thoughts @ 44 as a year ends: 1. Contentment is easier if you reflect on how far you've come. 2. Meaning visits us when we repeat the good deeds of our parents with our own kids. 3. The inevitability of grief is a reminder to be present.

what i dont understand is how people that raise $100M+ can't figure out how to get someone like @MKBHD to give feedback on their products _before_ they release them? do they just only surround themselves with people that are unable or uninterested in saying anything crit-- oh.

GPT has definitely gotten more resistant to doing tedious work. Essentially giving you part of the answer and then telling you to do the rest. Imagine your database only giving you the first 10 rows when you run a query. The tide is going back in.

My co-founder and I built the first interactive weather maps on the Internet but couldn't get users, so I went and got a full-time job at a newspaper who we convinced to embed our maps. That made them go viral, we suddenly had 6 million visitors but still no revenue. We tried
