Currently in Malawi, Dr. Carlos will return to work in Burundi after completing his training. 🇧🇮
📣 Yesterday marked the first operation carried out at Cure Children’s Hospital of Zimbabwe - the country's first facility to provide medical care to children free of charge. #KidsOR have partnered with @CUREIntl to provide equipment for the 2 operating rooms within the hospital!

Safe surgery for children in Burundi! 💙
🇧🇮 We couldn't be more proud that our scholar, Dr. @NiyukuriAlly passed his final paediatric surgical exams earlier this month.
He now returns to Burundi as one of the country's first EVER children's surgical experts. Incredible! 👏

Last month, she performed in an incredibly challenging EA/TEF procedure on a 12 day old baby. The surgery was a success, saving the child's life 💙
