But this is the exact application for less lethal. The unruly man did not comply and the officers were able to use the appropriate amount of force to attain compliance. UK police should look into Byrna as another option as well.
What an embarassment. The officer had no tools at his disposal, so he needed to resort to close quarter combat. The British police need to take this seriously and provide officers with more tools, like Byrna or pepper spray.
