- H-1B workers waiting for any drip of movement in the Visa Bulletin.
- Replying to @starrski71 and @elerianm@elerianm has been clear about the 3 phases of inflation and we are at phase 3 but if China re-opens and oil spikes, that could bring back phase 1 again (energy/food). History shows inflation is often a double peak. Very few considering this.
- Replying to @SpeakSamuelI have gotten dumber trying to follow this “debate” about H-1B visas. The most prominent people seem to be willing misrepresenting things. I am particularly depressed realizing this is probably how every issue is “debated” — I just happen to know a lot about this one.
- Just in time for your priority date to be current.🚨 India to become largest economy in the world overtaking China and USA by 2080. (UK's leading economic consultancy, 'CEBR')
- Replying to @carlquintanillaThe data seems to support all this but then why is the electorate so gloomy? Maybe the top 20% are doing great and not the bottom 80% with no assets?
- Every H-1B worker after figuring out how the Visa Bulletin works.
- Replying to @raj_karnatakEmployers will be paying this too - not just workers; but this is not good policy for lots of reasons. The new fees are really a strong signal this Admin doesn’t like legal skilled immigration. We tax things we don’t like - smoking, gasoline, gambling, H-1Bs, I-140s…
- Replying to @DcWalaDesi @POTUS and @BoeingAirplanesAre these all the planes that will be flying one-way from the US to India when all those Indian students realize getting an H-1B and green card are impossible?!
- Replying to @SpeakSamuelI think it depends on what you mean by “have it worse” - i would assume most Indian H1Bs are financially better off than most asylum applicants but asylum applicants have open market work authorization and will not have to leave if laid off or a principal alien dies. 1/2.
- Replying to @bobwebberlawyer and @SpeakSamuelI now have clients from Africa, Central America, and Ukraine who entered via parole and will change lanes to EB immigration and get green cards faster than Indians who have been here on H1Bs for many years. 2/2.
- Replying to @bobwebberlawyer @IamRameshSub and @SpeakSamuel2/2 - some people are mad that foreign nationals come and stay in hotels and do not work. But the same people are also mad that some foreign nationals are smart and hustle and work hard. Hard to keep up.
- Replying to @bgmastersWhat will be the impact on healthcare costs when all those H-1B doctors and other health professionals must leave? You would deprive a lot of rural Americans of medical care. More nuance please.
- Ok - so look at this. Indians are highly represented in the 2 most important states for the Prez election in 2024 - MI and PA. Somehow the Indians in those states should make the Visa Bulletin per-country limits an issue. Focus there. 2 states. Here's an updated map of the largest source of foreign-born residents by state with the 2022 ACS.
