We has some very special visitors in Angus yesterday when HRH The Earl and Countess of Wessex and Forfar came to Ogilvy Distillery, the Early Learning Centre and the Lowson Memorial church for a Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Her Majesty the Queen.

Update 20:30 RISK TO LIFE – IF TOLD TO EVACUATE, PLEASE LEAVE The latest modelling from @sepa is that river levels could reach an unprecedented 5m about normal levels. The Brechin flood defences are designed to deal with river levels of 3.8m.

Update 06:45 - Summary Angus is in the middle of a very serious emergency. Flooding is unprecedented. Levels are over half a metre over the last highest EVER. Most roads are affected. A90 is closed in both directions and is not passable for any have a go heroes. DO NOT TRAVEL!

It never ends... Last night, significant parts of the Montrose promenade collapsed, weakened by storm & rain. It's difficult to prevent access to the highly unstable edge but please stay away as contractors are on site and it's just not safe. Have a look at these photos instead!

It's not just people we rescue in Angus! Angus Council's Animal Welfare Officer worked with a joint team from Police Moutain Resce Teams and the volunteers of Tayside Mountain Rescue Team to save sheep trapped in flood water near Forfar.
