- As Vice Chairman, I was happy to preside over the Banking and Insurance Committee today. Senate Bill 8 was unanimously passed. This bill would remove out-of-pocket costs for lifesaving BRCA genetic testing and MRI/ mammograms for women. It now moves to the full #PASenate.
- Not only did Cornwall-Lebanon School District Senior Chloe Hains become a pilot at 17 but has also been accepted to three U.S. Military Academies. She has chosen to attend the U.S. Naval Academy and will be leaving in June.
- Congratulations to Amelia Summers, a sophomore at Annville-Cleona High School, for winning the 2023 Pennsylvania American Legion Oratorical Contest. Her winning speech was about the U.S. Constitution and how it empowers young people.
- Today, the Senate Education Committee passed my bill requiring a financial literacy course be taught in high school. Financial decisions made in early adulthood pave the way for success or perpetual dependence on family members and the government.
- I was happy to recognize the Cedar Crest High School Quiz Bowl Team with a Senate Citation for their impressive win at the 2022 @WGAL TV-8 Brain Busters Championship this past year. The team captured the title by defeating Trinity High School in the finale @CLSD_Schools
- This morning I had the chance to stop by to congratulate the @acxcdutchmen team on their PIAA 1A #StateChampionship. 🥇Really nice to meet a group of great young men and I wish them the best in their future endeavors.
- It was great to meet with Chris Seldomridge, an athletic trainer from @CLSD_Schools. We discussed upcoming legislation effecting athletic trainers throughout the state. I also found out he is a fellow alumnus of @TheHillSchool.

- I really enjoyed attending the Annual Cedar Crest FFA Banquet. There are some truly great future leaders among the #FFA. Cedar Crest has done an outstanding job with agricultural education which is vital to our State. Congrats to all the members who received awards!
