Established in 1882 at Lahore, University of the Punjab is the largest and the oldest seat of higher learning in Pakistan.

- إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ Captain Affan Masood (ICET Batch 2011-2015), son of Former Registrar & Chairman, Department of Botany, PU, Prof. Dr. Raas Masood Khan, embraced martyrdom last night in an IED blast.

- Engr. Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar (Sitara-i-Imtiaz) -@DrNiazAhmadSI has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of the University of the Punjab.
- Do you know? Quaid-e-Azam Campus, located in an area spread over 1800 acres of lush green landscape, was designed by the renowned Greek Architect A.C. Doxiadis who also designed Islamabad. This campus is the center of academic and administrative activities of the university.
- It is notified that the final examinations of each semester (BS/MS/M.Phil programmes) at University of the Punjab will only be conducted online.
- University of the Punjab is awaiting the decision of @hecpkofficial. Hence, no exams have been cancelled!
